With the gameweek safely locked away for posterity, Members can take time out to plunder their OPTA data to fully assess the key performers.

Once again we’ve put in the leg work for you, mining the statistics to answer some vital gameweek questions – did Rafael van der Vaart and Samir Nasri have off days? Did Robin Van Persie deserve yet another set of Bonus Points? And just how good was David Luiz?

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Birmingham's double is GW33, so i'm benching Zigic to play Adam because i'm doing Meireles > Adam transfer, Meireles is a waste of 7.3.

        Foster
        Coleman Kolarov Luiz
        A.Young Adam Nani VDV Barton

Seamusgate: the opta stats used in Metro had Young Seamus at 76 pts - the best on the park. It proves that optas don't always affect the bps.

The Metro apply their own scoring formulas to the Opta data - the scores you see are the Metro's take on the Opta stats using their own multipliers for attacking and defending.

If you still had Kolorov, would you keep him over the Sunderland game or dump him for Luiz now?

I'm not too keen on Coleman/Baines at the back, probably either one or the other for me, I have Coleman. Djourou > Walker seems a popular transfer with Walker being dead ass cheap at 4.0.

There's a lot of folk on here that have lost patience with Kolarov and are shipping him out. For me i'm holding tight and playing him against sunderland and then review.

                  Yeah.

I will get him in but not sure if away to Stoke is a good game for a player with his temperament.

Also wondering whether to get rid of RJ. Only reason to keep him was for the dgw, but Birmingham def sucks right now.

Foster may be all I need. Would rather have 2 Chelsea defs than 2 Brum.

Anyway, back to Kolarov, i'd think about playing him and moan about his 1 pt haul afterwards.

On second thoughts, getting rid for Luiz is a much better idea.

Especially when you think the quality ones in the past that never got a look in - Tim Flowers immediately springs to mind. That was back when we had real competition for every position.

Is now a good time to use my Wildcard? Been holding onto it for ages and my rival is catching up!

    Foster
    Robinson to Mingolet

    Coleman
    Walker
    Smalling
    Kelly to Luiz
Djourou to Bramble (depends how long Djourou is out for)

    Nani
    VDV
    Nasri
    Young to Lampard
    Barton to Adam

    RVP
Tevez to Suarez (or Bent who has better fixtures would like to keep Tevez for SUN though)
    Saha to Wellbeck

    0.4m remains.

Bit nervous about getting rid of Tevez but would only play 2 upfront with 5 across the mid.

          disagree completely.

one of the golden rules of FF is to go for players who are guaranteed to play when fit.

          Johnson isnt

Only City players i would say you could go for are Hart, Kompany, Yaya, Silva & Tevez

Newcastle handed fitness boost - Jose Enrique's hamstring injury not as bad as first feared, he should be back for the Wolves game. Pardew said:
"“We don’t think that it’s going to be a serious one, genuinely not. It’s hard to read with Jose when it comes to injuries. The good thing is he hasn’t pulled anything, it’s just a tightening. We took him off as precaution.”

    Jolly good.

I've never been an advocate of him on FPL. He's like Darren Bent in midfield, he'll go mad one game scoring a couple of goals but generally will do bugger all for the next few weeks. He doesn't influence the game enough to warrant regular BP's either.
Consider Adam or O'Hara instead. Barton is always the better pick of the Toon midfielders until Ben Arfa returns (due late April)

Mark - I have a technical glitch for you to sort out. When you (as a member) rank the upcoming fixtures by difficulty, the blank gameweeks are ranked as the easiest fixtures rather than the most difficult. It renders the function difficult to use whenever there are teams with missing gameweeks in the upcoming fixture list...

Does that make sense to you?

I remember meeting a Wolves fan at one of their pre-season games, he said Matt Jarvis is a fantastic player and isn't far away from the England squad, chuckled a little to myself at the time as hadn't seen Jarvis do anything last year to warrant that praise, looking back, the fan was absolutely right though, his form this year has been great

Yes he's done a damn sight more for me in the 5 or so weeks he's been in my team than Kolarov has. I actually don't want to get rid of him now.

I think we can officially declare Kolarov a bust now.

Time to ditch his worthless ass and move on.

I am in a bit of a quandry, should I swap Saha for Van Persie now as I can just afford it (leaving 0M in the bank) but that means that I cannot then swap any of my defenders for Luiz as my highest priced defender is Kolarov at 5.8M or should I swap Tevez for Van Persie allowing me to then swap any defender (including Djourou) for Luiz?
