A new version of the Next Six Season Ticker is now live in your frontpage sidebar. In addition to updating the home and away rankings for all teams, there are a host of bug fixes available to all and an array of exciting new features available to our Members.

In a nutshell, the Season Ticker is now fully customisable – Members can not only edit all the team home and away ranking scores to change the fixture difficulties, then can also create new filters to apply to the ticker and, with new import and export tools, they can share them with other Members.

We’ve supplied two new filters, giving Members the ability to view the likelihood of attacking returns and clean sheets within a gameweek or over a group of gameweeks for each team.

We’ve also made the full ticker view, previously only accessible in the Members Area, this is now available with a click of the button from the Next Six Ticker. Using this you can apply the new filters and sort teams over a big range of gameweeks.

Huge credit goes to Pure Olivia for his superb work on the Ticker, making it one of the best Fantasy Football analysis tools around.

Bug Fixes – For All

Non-Members have their column sorting feature back
Double gameweeks are now correctly assessed in sorting
Blank gameweeks are now correctly assessed in sorting

New Features – For Members

Maximise View

Click the arrow button in top left of the sidebar ticker and the ticker will expand to show the full season ticker enabling you to view far more gameweeks than just the default six.

New Team Ranking Filters
Members can now view a ticker which displays the difficulty of forthcoming opponents based on three default filters with the ability to create and add your own. Filters are accessed via the dropdown list under the gameweek selector slider. Scout (Overall) is the default filter.

Scout (Overall)
This is the vanilla overall fixture difficulty view that you’re used to but with updated rankings for all teams of course. Teams are rated based on their overall form home and away over the past 5 games.

Scout (Attacking)
This filter assesses the difficulty of forthcoming fixtures in terms of attacking returns. Teams are rated based on their likelihood to concede goals based on statistics over the past 5 games home and away, together with their overall form.

This means that for each gameweek or set of gameweeks you can easily view those teams that are most likely to score attacking points based on the rankings of opponents. Don’t forget you can use the gameweek column filter to sort teams in that gameweek or the Sort by Difficulty button to sort by gameweeks currently in view.

Scout (Clean Sheets)
This filter assesses the difficulty of forthcoming fixtures in terms of clean sheets. Teams are rated based on their likelihood to score goals based on statistics over the past 5 games home and way, together with their overall form.

This means that for each gameweek or set of gameweeks you can easily view those teams that are most likely to earn clean sheets based on the rankings of opponents.

Create New Team Ranking Filters

If you don’t agree with our current rankings for teams, you can add your own. All the default filters can be edited and, as soon as you begin tweaking, it creates a brand new “You Are The Scout” filter in the dropdown list. This means that you can create your own set of filters from the team rankings that you decide. Effectively then, you can design and create your own team rating filters for full customization of your ticker.

Import and Export Rankings

Not only can your create your own set of filters, you can import and export them to share them with others. With any of your filters selected in the dropdown just select Export Rankings and you will see your set of rankings which can be copied into another users Import Rankings panel.

To Import Rankings simply click on the Import Rankings button, copy the rankings into the available box and then add a Name before clicking Import. This will add a new filter to your Ticker dropdown list.

Filters can be named and deleted using the buttons provided.

If you have any issues with the new Season Ticker – please contact us at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Should I play R.Johnson (BOL) or Simpson (WOL)? Bearing in mind I already have Foster in goal.

RJ. Imo foster in goals shouldn't affect your decision at all. Just judge em on their own merits. Very similar cs chance but rj has goal threat and probable bp's if he does keep a cleanie

I need to play two of Coleman, Bentley, Walker and Bale.

Only Bentley looks a cert to start but I already have Foster and RJ. Walker looks the next most likely bit I'd be gutted if Bale and Coleman played. If I start Bale and Coleman you can bet they will both have a ten minute cameo! Help! 🙁

I think Bale with either start or not play at all, so I'd suggest out of those to play Bale and Walker. Coleman might only get like 25 minutes...

Narrowed my transfer plans down to either

A Do nothing and ride it
B Do Szczney – Foster (leaving 0 in the bank)
C Do VDV & Coleman – Luiz & Nasri (leaving 0 in the bank) 4 point hit.

    Team for this week:

    Foster
    Huth, Kolarov, Coleman
    Nani, Nasri, VDV, Meireles, Downing
    Rooney, RVP(c)

Bench: Al Habsi, Rafael, Djourou, Zigic

    Rate my team?

I've got a few injuries/rotation risks, and my rival who I'm chasing has a near-identical team, so I need some differentials. But maybe I should save my free and start changing things up next week with 2 frees?

    Thanks for all advice!

Smalling Coloccini and Walker. I understand the struggle though.

With Coleman a likely sub, that inspires Walker for 90 minutes, plus with a weak Everton midfield he should skip down the wing a couple times.

Smalling may get a cleanie, more likely than Huth scoring imo.

Coloccini - Newcastle might not concede.

Best I could do to explain my choices really...

Indeed. I'm more about gettign players in for runs of games rather than the odd one off personally - if you can do that it's great but i generally find that you get so many other pressing transfers you can accumulate a lot of deadweight doign it that way.

So many doubts this week is making things very confusing.

I was planning on playing my WC but i don't really have any idea what i want to do with my team!

At the moment, if i do it i will have

    Foster Mignolet
    Luiz Kolarov Smalling Walker Dawson
    Fabregas Nasri Nani VDV Adam
    RVP Tevez Carroll

Any thoughts? After GW33 i might struggle to get to a computer so i'm hoping to set up a solid team for the run in rather than loading it for a particular gameweek if that makes sense.

No way that's a team which needs a wildcard put onto it. Bench Mignolet, Walker, Dawson and Carroll and you look pretty good to go, to be honest.

Gameweek 34 may be a decent time to use the wildcard - get rid of the players who had doubles in 33, get in the players who have doubles the week after.

Sorry, that's the team having used the WC,

        Without it would be

        Foster Begovic
        Walker Luiz Kolarov Coleman Dawson
        Nasri Hitzlsperger VDV Nani Young
        Tevez RVP Carroll

The problem is that there is no point me using my WC anytime other than the next couple fo weeks because i won't have time to look at it properly - i'm going travelling so won't be at a computer much, which is why i'd like to set it up before i go.

Fair enough, you did say that clearly. Well, as I said, looks like a good side to me. Getting out Fabs for Lamps before 33 will be a priority, but will be annoying to do it for a points hit, so make sure that you won't have any other transfers to do then.

Looking at strengthening at the back, who looks a good option for the new few weeks? I have Luiz, Collocinni, Huth, Djourou and Coleman?

I was thinking Dawson/Ekottou? or should i just go Smalling?

quite like the idea of Foster's save points over the next few weeks, incl. his double. He also rotates ok with Mignolet.
Terry is a bit of an expensive luxury, but with Gyan + Carroll up front, i can afford him for the next few weeks.

Just a query about the ticker... the default seems to be based on the last 5 games for a team. If it's of our opinion that a much bigger sample size is necessary to judge a team (at least half a season in my opinion) can we edit the ticker to reflect this? If so, how far back do the stats go?

It's just that freak results/ fixtures can seriously skew the data over 5 games (e.g. newc 4-4). But over 20+ I'd expect the stats to be a lot more reflective of the team's strength.

Thanks! Also, does anyone agree/ disagree with me on this?

Disagree slightly, as over 20 games you wouldn't get an accurate reflection of the team's form, as you would over 5 games.

        Hey Jamsiep,

There wasn't too much rationale to be honest. I only had 4.8 million to spend, and Dembele was the only real option in that price range (aside from Welbeck, but I'm getting Gyan instead).

If you can easily afford either of them, then I'd rather have Zamora though. But I'd wait until/if we hear something from Hughes today about his fitness, because there was some chatter a day or two ago that he still isn't fit to start.

          "y wouldnt he?"

Because Alex is a powerhouse and Luiz isn't. Because Alex has to play in the CL next week, and hasn't played a competitive match in about four months.

As a Chelsea fan I'd much rather Alex starts this weekend, and from a fantasy perspective even more so. Although Luiz will undoubtedly start, score and pick up 3 BPs in a 2-1 win, rewarding all the people who foolishly brought him in this week.

I would swap Walker in for Coleman, he is doubtful and we know what Moyes is like with subbing people we start...

yeh i did look at that but walker hasnt done much yet and if coleman plays he has better chance of a cleanie and a better attacking potential. why do people think hes defo out have i missed something?

Apparently the Everton forums don't think he'll start and they're usually right.

Plus he's on Everton FC's site injury list...the match preview says they hope he'll be fit to play though, bit of a risk 😕

Even though i agree with all of the above im going to ctart coleman. if hes fit to play any part he will start imo.

coleman starting has better chances than walker and if he is injured like there all saying walker will come in.

not doubting your logic of a possible 5 min wonder haha

what's the latest on Tevez? He has declared himself fit to play, hasn't he? Why are people shipping him out before SUN then?

Predicts that he will be most wanted player here after GW33.

yep...thats y i plan to have him in after 33 and not at the moment. Sold for RVP which was the correct decision.

He had a good rest, he should de fine now I think. Anyway, selling fit Tevez before he plays Sunderland at home sounds like a madness to me.
