With the aid of our Projections we’ve analysed the average points expected per player over the course of the upcoming campaign and, applying this to the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player price list, have listed the top ten in terms of expected value per Fantasy pound for the season ahead…
Anybody else think that the FPL have encouraged a generic core with one or two puntable options or narrowed the playing field to allow the best/luckiest to shine? Started team building over the last few days and half way through realised money virtually gone and no decent fillers left to choose. Definitely harder this year and not sure if that favours the astute or the jammy ..... May Chillax until a few days to go but temptation too much ..... Arrrgggghhhh!

nah, this community makes the generic core everyone here starts with their own XV then as the days and weeks go by, people for better or worse, get drawn in player by player until theres a virtual generic "squad" which is ok for me and will help me, i just wonder if some of the elite get hampered by it!

1st choice alongside Coloccini so should start all PL games with Williamson getting time in cups.
Although all summer we've been rumoured to be in the market for another CB (Douglas/Ashley Williams) so keep an eye on whether anything goes through. You don't need to sacrifice your defence to have a non-generic side, I wouldn't classify my side as generic overall (although front 3 is pretty generic I'll admit).
Going in with a pair of goalies that'll struggle to make 5 CS's all season won't work, no matter how good your strikers are. 1 goal for a forward = 1 CS for goalie.Open Controls

Open ControlsTotally disagree! You need balance, or perceived balance until things become clearer. One or two punts at first but a team you can easily change to bring in the form players. At the start, it's all about flexibility, as I have sorely learnt.

Good evening gents. Nearly there now, only two weeks left to go. If you're desperately in need of your FPL fix, look at it this way ; it's exactly like the start of one of those annoying early season international breaks.
"Two bloody weeks without FPL? What will I do?"
The bloody great thing is this;
At the start of those extremely annoying international breaks you will be looking at your team for two whole weeks (that has invariably only scored 37 points with a GW rank of 1.9m) you will wonder what went wrong. You will wonder how shite your luck is to have half of your first choice midfield suspended and injured. You will wonder should you employ an early WC. You will wonder should you jump on that early transfer to gain 0.1 or 0.2 only for your new player only to tweak his hammy in an international friendly away to Latvia. You will wonder if you really are any good at this game at all, at all, considering your overall rank is somewhere near the 850k mark.
Don't worry, your team at the moment is like an unopened oyster, waiting for a dash of chilli flake, a touch of sea salt and a tiny sprinkle of freshly crushed black pepper. If you add a creamy pint of Guinness you will realise that all good things come to those that wait.Open Controls

Normally I'd not pick Cabaye but I know that we want to sign Anita from Ajax, leading to a double pivot with Tiote and hence freeing YoCabs to attack a bit more. I guess it's far too soon to commit to a team, with so many questions floating about.
