Projecting Value – Goalkeepers

Having rolled out a Selection Guide to Goalkeepers earlier this afternoon, we now switch focus to the Members Projections for our search for the men between the sticks. While Joe Hart predictably sits out on top, we focus on value in this first Members article, examining those keepers who are expected to deliver the best points per million ratio for the season and the first six Gameweeks…

      Tough shout. I'm going for 2 6.5ers in mid and thinking will likely be 2 of pienaar, michu & Larsson (and watching N´Zog). That way can switch to whoever is starting best and get some price gain....

      Looks good, careful with Kaboul though. Spurs two CBs should be Dawson & Vertonghen

    Long time admirer, first time poster

    Gone back and forth on lots of teams but have settled on an approach that more focuses on distributing spend throughout the team for the start so easy to switch to early starters without multi-transfers.

    Team at the mo:

    Fedirici
    Terry Lescott Cashley
    Pienaar Lampard Bale Michu
    Ba Agüero Pog

    Bench: De Gea, Fabio, Noble, McCartney

    0.5m in the bank so can upgrade Lamps to 9.5er (such as Hazard) or Aguero to Rooney if any of them hit an early purple patch. Early move Terry to Vidic likely as well and potentially taking some of the money out of defence to upgrade Ba to Papiss Cisse/ Ade later on…..

      I wouldn't be so sure about having three elites at the back to start the season. Surely, you can use the extra funds from them and upgrade your forwards. Ba is a no-no for me.

      Terry banned would be a problem....

      On the Ba front, may be blinded as I'm a Toon fan but Pards has promised him a more central role this season and think he could be a good differential as not many others are looking at him. Definitely open to upgrading using defensive funds to Bent or Ade but don't feel like there's a ton of value around that price range in the forwards...

      Mine is currently, bale, noble, Maloney, Sinclair, mcanuff.... Yours looks stronger than mine... Although i wouldn't pick hazard, game time is unsure

      Both for me if Dempsey stays at Fulham. Prefer them to Mata/Hazard/Kagawa

          Silva could also be good but I prefer Tevez/Aguero. Also, Torres is enough Chelsea attack for me.

            Yea I have silva bale (and aguero) atm but im thinking its maybe a bit much city attack.
            Im scared, like most, that il miss out on an abundance of point from chelsea attacking force in GW1 so tempted to do Silva -> hazard but also tempted to swap for dempsey

            Do people think dempsey will have as strong a season as last year? if he stays at fulham obvo

        he is the player u would want if ur looking at an average start imo.

      Merely a try out for the friendly owing to no recognised CF. The Adebayor signing is looking more and more unlikely. I think Siggy is a better option when it comes to set pieces

      Harte takes penalties and direct free kicks and always playing. Dawson however is doubtfull with vertonghen and kaboul.

    I'm thinking of 1 defender that plays week in week out e.g A.Cole. then 4 other cheap defenders, nailed on starters. 2 sets of two that rotate well. at the moment Westham and Southamton. QPR and Wigan but I want Hughes. Are there any better pairings i have tottenham and reading goal keepers.
