Having added statistical maps to our Match Dashboard a week or so ago, we’ve now brought these new aids into the Player Profiles and, more importantly perhaps, the Stats Comparison Tool.

Our Members can now compare two players head-to-head and get both a statistical view and a graphical view of a players performance. Our new maps allow you to plot stats such as Shots, Chances Created, Crosses, Dribbles, Passes and an array of defensive stats. These can, of course, be filtered by a range of Gameweeks or matches and by home and away fixtures.

The next step is to add a heatmap that will plot a player’s touches on the pitch. We’ll be bringing that to you very soon.

The movie below offers a walkthrough of these new features, running a comparison between Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon and James McClean’s over their last six matches.

Memberships are still available for £12.50 up until the first weekend of the season. Click here for details on how to register or upgrade your account and for all our preview movies so far.

Good morning to some, good evening to others! The start of the season....well...always seems to give me trouble...any thoughts on my current team:

    Jask/Feder

    Clyne/Coloccini/Fabio/Lescott/Cuellar

    Beausejour/bale/valencia/hazard/pienaar

    Torres/tevez/petric

    Cheers!

So has Downing gained the use of his right foot yet? Does he even have a position that he can play? I would be shocked if he got a start...that would be strike two for Rodgers in my book. So is he another in the long line of "working wings"?

Morning all (I'm in Singapore by the way) ...

Please RMT my latest burnt offerings. This team is fundamentally built on the adage, 'wait and see'. It's safe, a tad generic and is a slave to the DGW. Bale will be in GW2. Of that there is no doubt ...

    DDG/McCarthy
    Cole, Lescott, Demel, Tierney, Gunter
    Silva, Mata, Noble, Maloney, Guthrie
    Rooney, Tevez, Torres

I think it's fairly safe and solid but still not sure. Is Silva going to start? Do I need some Swansea due to fixture heaven? Advice much appreciated. I'm more stressed than ever about this season as I have more cash than ever riding on this lot, hence the reliance on the big names early doors.

Morning all. I had been pretty happy with my team but just been messing around with it and added loads of doubts.

    Original team-
    Begovoc Jassk
    Cole Lescott Hangeland Cellular Clyne
    Bale Hazard Noble Guthrie Michu
    Torres Graham Aguero
    2.0m for torres to rooney

    A- Cole to Coloccini
    Begovic to De Gea
    2.0 left

    B- Cole to Coloccini
    Michu to Toure
    2.0 left

To be honest i try to look at teams and see the weaknesses, struggling to find any with this!

GK- Friedel most weeks and Fed as back up.
Def Newc and Sund rotation. Fulham good fixtures
Mid cover for the double and plan to get spurs
Front line- same a smine with the 2.0 plan so love it.

To me the only place under thought should be Pienaar, Mc Clean and possibly Friedel

      Overall very good

Seems to me there is a lot of value in midfield this season in the 6-6.5m price range - what do you think to this team? Would either get some MUN coverage in GW2 (Lamps -> Nani/Kagawa), or if he looks essential I'd work Rooney in for Torres in GW3 by downgrading Ivanovic. Whatcha reckon?

    Friedel, Federici
    Ivanovic, Rafael, Cuellar, Hughes, Gunter
    Lampard, Bale, Pienaar, McClean, Taarabt
    Aguero, Torres, Graham

I love it. There are brilliant options at the 6.5 mark. I'm flirting with Taarabt on and off. I'm not sure I want to bank 6 million in him, but his first few fixtures look delectable.

Would your defence be a little light without at least one big hitter when you downgrade Ivan? Not interested in City defenders?

Cheers - that's a good point - I think I'd only ever play 3 at the back so I'd essentially be picking 3 from Rafael, Hughes, Cuellar & S Taylor (the one I'd likely bring in for Ivanovic), which isn't too bad. I guess another option would be to downgrade Lamps to say Michu to fund Torres -> Rooney?

Lescott - Saylor - Cuellar - Hughes - Demel is what my defence reads after I downgrade Terry. With that I get at least 3 decent fixtures every week with the odd fixture against a top club.

Same works for your defence. It's a good strategy, but I think City defence is quite solid. So look to invest.

Also, you've doubled on Reading D.

fancy telling me what's delectable about playing city, chelsea and spurs in the first 5 games? 😛

rafael is competing with both valencia and jones, idk why he's getting so much love.

good team otherwise! the mid-range mids could pay off.... not a strategy i'm tempted by, myself, but it could be a good differential.

Yeah, Rafael is a risk, but I think he's 1st choice RB atm, and he offers a huge attacking threat (check out his stats from last season - he effectively played as a winger). He's also very cheap for MUN defencive coverage if he is indeed 1st choice.

Looks good and logical transfer plan - Not sure about Taarabt and Rafael though. Also, he seems good value but I wonder about Friedel now AVB is in charge...

There are a few good mid-priced midfielders (e.g. Larsson and Pienaar) but I also think there's some really good value in defence this season.

I suppose that since I'd likely be benching McClean in GW1, I could just bring a 4.5m cheapie (e.g. Guthrie, Kacaniklic) in for him now and stick him on the bench and then bank the 2.0m for Torres -> Rooney in GW2. Then maybe Taarabt -> McClean once QPR's fixtures stiffen.

valencia might be playing at right back so i'd avoid for now. not sure the rest of your team is good enough to justify leaving out both rooney and aguero, but it's up to you 😉 ferdinand lacks attacking threat and might not play so much this season... swap cerny for one of the less selected 4.0s. otherwise fine!

I had Cech but got rid because I'm not sure if he's worth having at 6.5m

Not having at least 1 big hitter up front will be a pain if Kun/Pig/RVP become essential

I had aguero but suddenly Im feeling that Tevez may produce the same output with less 2.5mil when Tevez gets game time he gets his form from 2 seasons ago he might even outplay aguero.

Which will get the most points in your eyes over the course of the season.

    A) Rooney + 6-6.5m midfielder (Holman, Taarabt, McClean, Larsson, Michu)|
    B) Suarez + 8.5-9m midfielder (Kagawa, Nani, Valencia)

2nd RMT and hopefully (but unlikely) close to the final team.what you think?

    Vorm, Begovic

    Cole, Hangeland, Cuellar, Gorkss, Demel

VDV, Lampard (c) Valencia, Piennar, Maloney

    Torres, Graham, Aguero

Although 2 chelsea tried to be prepared beyond GW1 with VDV, Graham, Piennar etc. I know everyone is on BAle just feel if (and maybe its a big if) VDV starts he'll score big - has never let me down. Also despite Vorm being a risk sticking with him after having him from the get go last year.

    Any improvements needed?

Please post the FFS league code if anyone has it. thanks

VDV is too risky for me, might not play. valencia may play right back. i can't get behind picking torres unless the ---> rooney plan is in place, seeing as he's shit and everything. 😉
