As we count down the days to Saturday’s Premier League kick-off, the Carlos Tevez – Sergio Aguero conundrum has become a major issue for Fantasy managers after the former’s scintillating strike and strong display against Chelsea in Sunday’s Community Shield.

Having looked at the City midfield area in Monday evening’s Technical Area piece, we now turn our attentions to the Argentine duo’s performance against the Blues but first of all, we use the Members Area Comparison Tool to gauge their respective displays over the final four Gameweeks of 2011/12 to look for the similarities within Roberto Mancini’s new formation:

    Southampton have 11.8m bid accepted for Gaston Ramirez 🙄 🙁 Wish he came to us, he's a top quality footballer. Guess he prefers gametime over a big club, but good luck to him.

          Im fairly confident mate. I think the team has the shape of a really good side in the next couple of years. Would like 1 quality centre half and striker. Will hopefully get to the second leg, we need to keep the tie alive and hopefully an away goal. Bit much to ask with our away record!

      It could be, but if you have a policy of giving players new to the league a game or two to observe how they settle, then Podolski is firmly ruled out. Along with Giroud/Hazard/Kagawa/Michu & all the other potentially good new recruits...

      Too much doubt over Rafa & Britton won't score more than 2 points per game... so would have to say B. But would rather have Zab than Lescott. Richards is allegedly injured for up 10 weeks, ergo no competition for the right-back slot.

    Why has everybody got rid of Hazard? Seems crazy if it is just based on the CS match against the best team in the league. Even during that game I didn't think he was as bad as people were suggesting.Will play as part of a front free and think he looks like a great option.

      Depends how you define "everybody"... i know a lot of people never had him in the first place - its a gamble on an unproven premiership player who no longer has the set piece/penalty duties that inflated his goal scoring in France. He could be great, but 9.5m is a big risk to take, much better (safer) options for the first few GWs

    Two questions:

    One, looking through Spurs squad, am I right in thinking VDV will be in the hole behind Defoe? Appeals to me more than Bale if so.

    Two, is Barry Bannan nailed on at Villa? (in so far as a player can be nailed on in a Paul Lambert squad!!!)

    Fergie said RVP could start against Everton. Will be assessed over the weekend but will be on the bench at the least. Spoke about adrenaline 😀

    Also, he pretty much confirmed Rafael Evra Vidic Rio will be Uniteds backline on Monday. Jones is one month away and smalling 2.

    SORRY FOR SHOUTING BUT IT'S HARD TO GET NOTICED ON THIS LOCUST PLAGUE THAT IS A FORUM. I'll bring my voice down. I'm trying to get a bit of feedback on my team. I would be happy to do likewise for yours. I finished 140th 2 seasons ago and 2,900th last year. So i might be of some help. But I'd appreciete some advice on this...

          thanks lads. i think i'll stick with it. i fancy caz to reek havoc.
          i never put much emphasis on defence. not much point(s) in it.
          saw your team there manatee. not my kind of team. terry is a dick. and you have too much money in defence imo. if you're gonna have verthongen, you should go with someone like lescott instead. rest is descent. puncheon though?

    Finally have a team I'm happy with but interested to see people's thoughts on my team so here is my first and only pre-season RMT:

    Fed (Jussi)

    Tomkins / Hangeland / Zabaleta / Ivanovic (Vidic)

    Bale / Ramires / Noble (Ramires) (Holman)

    Aguero / Torres / Graham

    0.5mil in the bank to swap Aguero to Rooney for week 2

    My biggest concern is having 3 hammers but thinking that either Jussi or Tomkins will be moved on when a bargain buy appears

    Guessing I should probably play Vidic over Tomkins?
