As we count down the days to Saturday’s Premier League kick-off, the Carlos Tevez – Sergio Aguero conundrum has become a major issue for Fantasy managers after the former’s scintillating strike and strong display against Chelsea in Sunday’s Community Shield.

Having looked at the City midfield area in Monday evening’s Technical Area piece, we now turn our attentions to the Argentine duo’s performance against the Blues but first of all, we use the Members Area Comparison Tool to gauge their respective displays over the final four Gameweeks of 2011/12 to look for the similarities within Roberto Mancini’s new formation:

    Got lost on the other pages...

    Despite the scout predictions are people still looking at Schwarzer, Hangeland and possibly Petric? I have to agree with the Scout scepticism about Fulham. I had my concerns about Fulham last season and these haven’t been helped by Jol’s signings this season, the sometimes playground tactics and the departure of Murphy. I do trot down to the Cottage a couple of times a season and Murphy did look like the only player who could calm Fulham’s game down. I get the feeling that they might get more than a regular hammering.

      Disagree, if he stays fit Diarra is a top top player and a great DM. Also Dembele lies fairly deep and I believe he won more tackles than any other midfielder last year, plus Duff does his fair share of tracking back

            After the summer departures, I guess you would be looking at Sidwell, more attack minded than Diarra but not likely to stray as much as Dembele because he doesn't really carry the ball.

            If Ruiz doesn't produce early doors I can see Ruiz ending up on the wing again, Sidwell in and Dembele moving up behind Petric. It certainly feels more solid than the Scouts predicted line-up for tomorrow.

            I have a feeling that Fulham's season could all depend on how good Petric turns out to be, he look like he's there to finish rather than to contribute to play. Fulham can get the ball to the box a 100 and 1 ways but, looking at the team, if Petric does score I'm not sure who else will.

        I agree with Diarra being a good player, but Fulham only kept 4 cleansheets in the second half of last season (the last 19 games from Jan to the end. Diarra was signed in January) and now with the loss of Murphy they will be an even more attacking team with Dembele to take his place. Dembele is a great player but one who likes to get forward far more often than Murphy did.

      I'm getting the same feeling about Swansea as well, from the scout predictions, are people worried that Swansea will start to ship goals? The early fixtures are pretty difficult to ignore and the back line is mighty tempting price wise, what’s the general consensus? Are Fulham and Swansea not defensively attractive now?

      Looks reasonable, obviously slightly heavy on the defence which is why your midfield is lacking. I'd be looking to downgrade Cole after gw2 and upgrade Guthrie/Maloney to Pienaar/McClean

          I watched them all. Partly for FPL reasons/being a fan of United. Mainly because I have no life. When Kagawa moved further up, his link-up play with Rooney against Hannover was ridiculous for a new player. Nani's looked very good. Ashley Young looked sub-par as usual. Valencia played the last couple of games shifted to RB. Sir Alex has now said Rafael's back too so could feature against Everton.

          The score difference between the best GKs is not as large as the gap between affording a big striker, for example needing the extra 1.5 for rooney is better than having DDG

      That's the same quandary I have, wait until the press conference later? Laudrup suggested he'd play if his head is in the right place. However it might save a transfer to have Michu in now...
