Batten down the hatches, Granville’s wildcard is active. Having suffered an abominable Gameweek 2 mauling, the Mancunian has shuffled, tail between legs, back to the drawing board. The excuses and justification are spread thickly throughout and Granville even calms his jerky knee long enough to strike back at my decision to transfer in Eden Hazard: the cheek of the man.

The usual regulars are, of course, scattered about this nonsense, including a record breaking “All Aboard” the weekend preview and the recent failings of the ScoutCast XI.

Grab your protective suit and listen in via this link, or use the handy player below to stream in your browsers.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

The Tevez v RVP captaincy is a tough one, usually have a decison made early.

      Tevez- On Form, at home.

If you think about it there are a few other parts to this too:

RVP is still out to impress the crowd, new boy and all.

City usually share the goals between a few players were I can see RVP getting more due to lack of sharing as Rooney isn't there now.

If you have RVP cap RVP IMO. Not just his history last year. City attack isn't quite firing especially with Silva tired. Relying too much on Yaya and Tevez IMO.

Remember whenever City rely in Yaya to get forward, they do so because things aren't already working out for them.

That said, both the QPR and Southampton defences look about equally shoite.

Both have exactly the same goalscoring odds on WillHill, I would say Tevez has more chance of assisting (at home demolition may be on the cards), but it is such a fine line that it doesn't really matter.

I probably wouldn't have Ba and Ben Arfa... Maybe transfer Ba to Jelavic? I like you midfield and attack apart from that. I'm rubbish at the defense rotations and stuff like that so maybe someone else will comment on that part. I'm playing my WC too, good luck. 🙂

i think atm the premier league seems more attacking and less clean sheets. the big teams are not keeping them so you can bank on them. i think your better goin cheap on defence. atm the strongest mid table teams are sunderland, west brom, fulham, swansea n everton. west ham tho hav really nice fixtures! newcastle have norwich and villa at home and reading away so i think ben arfa and ba r needed!! 😛

First time I've seen Gallas in a team, though I checked out his price myself tonight after the Kaboul news came out.

My only preference would be to turn Jarvis & Morrison into a single more steady MF (like Piennar) and a cheapie (like Guthrie). Not sure of their prices or if that's possible, but I think doing that would even be worth milking another .5m out of your DF if that's what it takes (Jenkinson is a future transfer waiting to happen, could become Clyne)

It's a fair shout, both will do the business every 3rd week or so on average. I just get frustrated if I bench one and pick wrong and miss their points. I'd rather have a non-rotating front 7 with a cheap mid sub.

I believe the last time Rodgers met Wenger it finished Swansea 3 Arsenal 2!

I remeber that day well, Siggurdson had signed for Swansea that week and I put him in my team because I had been a fan of him throughout his career. He came on at half time and played a wonder through ball for Graham, I think.

I agree there will be goals, but Arsenal players are a bit too pricy to gamble on. I like Suarez or Borini though.

He has such great technique, and has always gotten goals for his clubs. I hope he can find his feet at Spurs, AVB needs to settle on a first choice XI and get them playing the way he wants. He seems like a very impatient man to me when things aren't going right for him.

and he could actually be a steal of the season FPL-wise...playing 90mins here and there as a an attacking (one of the best STILL worldwide on his day) winger/fullback yet getting clean sheet points. 50-50 pay off for an investment i'd say.

anymore than 6m and im out...and i do think 6.5 is what he will definitely be. Not worth my thoughts. He won't threaten Zaba, but Micah will be back soon enough and HE WILL.

Yes that is true but I would think that Mancini maily bought him for his CL experience after their early knock-out last season. But he will get his fair share of games in PL too. Maybe 6.0 and I'll give him a chance...

Song is a huge loss to them, they have Ramsey too I suppose but he hasn't come back from that broken leg very well. I have always rated Diaby and I think once he get 5/6 games under his belt he might start putting his stamp on that position.

Does that really matter? Differentials suggest RVP captain since a lot more people a) have tevez and b) have tevez at captain accordingly.

Either way they are both set for a big weekend. Then again I thought that with Rooney and Aguero and look what happened there.

Who's your best mid? Bale, Michu, Kagawa and HBA could all be risky, but potentially pay off with double digit scores at captain....Bale and HBA in the 20's at a long shot.

Just a bit too unproven in Utd colours for my liking. I (c)-ed him last week and gladly took the 18pts, but he only took 1 shot ffs. Worrying stuff. Glad to have him in my team, but no chance he's going to be my captain at this stage when Tevez is at home and firing on all cylinders.

Then there's also the argument that (provided you have both), a Tevez captain-fail/RVP-point-explosion combo will be a lot less detrimental than a RVP (c)-fail/Tevez explosion, as every man and his dog will be captaining the Carlos

I am spending entirely too much time on here!! Is this normal?? That's the first question.

Second. I am having major last minute doubts about Swansea, and I have Vorm, Michu and Graham. If any is to go I have to think it's Vorm, but Vorm represents the guaranteed pts (not quantity, but mass) since he gets plenty of saves and the odd penner save, whereas let's be honest Michu is still a toss-up and Graham is hardly a RVN, RVP, Henry or Ronaldo and is a value forward. Am I 'bugging out' here or what?

There are endless gk's who offer great value at 5.5 or 5, with great fixtures, i.e Friedel, Howard, Foster, Al Habsi or even Jusski at 4.5.

Not so much when you get around Michu's 7.1 is there???? Nope (never good to answer your own questions).

Swansea.........to triple or not to triple.

I'm tripling with no exit plan (Rangel, Michu, Graham). Don't see the need for one with those fixtures. Surely points will average out a bit, but when form and fixtures (and budget) align, you gotta triple

I just see them conceding sooner or later...they cant go clean the whole season can they? haha

I suppose with Rangel you get the attacking pts which outweigh the save pts (and usually no bonus pts for keepers) that Vorm could get. For that reason I think I am gonna go in and do Vorm to Friedel and Rangel for Ridgewell (since I have two Everton starting and must gamble on an Everton c.s win).

        Thoughts?

Dembele. He hasn't suddenly become a DM overnight. Chance of playing more advanced? Siggy wasn't an AVB signing, so it's got me thinking. Dembele is classed as a striker on some sights, but he's an attacking mid... more so than Modric, IMO.

It's not like he never played as DM at Fulham. One of the things that made him so much better as the season went by, was that he played deeper. He's too ineffective to play in an advanced position.

Yaya / Cazorla / Ben Arfa / Kagawa / Hazard

    Tevez / Petric / Graham

Is the great midfield worth it?

i'd get rid of Cazorla personally and upgrade Petric since a) there's word he's picked up a knock and b) his position/role/time might change with some new arrival at Fulham.........not sure who that is though.....i haven't seen anything mentioned on here about him to be fair!

      Cazorla to Pienaar
      Petric to Ba maybe

Or Cazorla -> McLean, Petric->Jelavic if you can afford it. I like Cazorla, but it will be a few GWs before Arsenal hit their stride and their fixtures get a little less hairy.
