Following the conclusion of Gameweek 21, we’ve updated both the Career Hall of Fame and the Live version for members. The Career version now includes all new additions to the Fantasy Football Scout leagues and is viewable to all via this link or a new top menu “HoF” link. This table will be updated every week with new entrants.

The “Live” version of the Hall of Fame, available to our Members, has been updated to include points earned in Gameweek 21. This will be updated with the latest rankings 24-hours after the conclusion of every Gameweek from this point on.

If you missed our meeting, emails and telegrams on the Hall of Fame and wondering what all this chatter is about, look below for a quick guide. Alternatively, you can view this movie to listen to myself and Rate My Team’s Chris Atkinson talk you through it.

What is the Hall of Fame?
In simple terms, this is as ranking system which can be applied to everyone in our Fantasy Premier Leauge mini-leagues – both the free and the members league. The Hall of Fame tracks the performances of every manager over each of the seasons they have participated and awards a ranking according to the performances. We have a career table that updates every season and a live table that will be updated using the latest season data, after every Gameweek.

How is my rating calculated?
The “HoF Rating” is based on your points scores from previous FPL seasons, with the latest season weighted the heaviest and each corresponding season weighted at roughly 80% that of the previous season. So, in other words, those who performed best in 2011/12 will receive a bigger HoF Rating boost from those who did best in 2006/07. The “HoF Ranking” even allows for those with missing years, adapting the formula accordingly to allow to rank alongside the veterans of the FPL.

How do I join the Hall of Fame
Simply sign up to our leagues, either the Fantasy Football Scout Classic League (40184-13425), or if you’re a member, the Members Classic League – the code is available on the dashboard of the Members Area.

How do I find myself in the Hall of Fame?
The search box at the top of the ranking tables allows you to search by surname or by FPL id.

What if I don’t want to be listed?
Either notify us via support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk or simply leave the Fantasy Football Scout league and you’ll be removed on the next update.

When does the Hall of Fame get updated?
The Career table is available to all and is updated at the end of each season to display the latest rankings.

The Live version of the Hall of Fame is updated every week to use the latest season data. This version will only be available to our members in the Members Area. If you wish to get access to the live version, you can sign up as a member – our half season memberships are now available for just £10. Click here for details on upgrading your account or signing up.

who else is not going with suarez for their WC.

i just think ive missed the boat now, having rvp ba berba/ruiz should be good enough for me. and plus this means i can have a decent defence and midfield

Not at all mate. His role won't really change he'll just have one more dude in front and one less behind. If anything he'll get more space and more assists 😉
His ideal position is a free role wide of a striker. 50 goals in one season playing on the left!

All righty then. I must say if I had him I'd keep. But as I don't the next four fixtures and his change in position means I'm happy enough without him.

Yeah it'd be hard to justify bringing him in with such terrible fixtures, though you wouldn't want to bet against him continuing his form in those games either. I just think all the nonsense about he's gonna stop scoring if he plays wide of Studge is much ado about nothing. He's not a #9.

It would just really strengthen my keepers, especially with Everton fixtures. And if he goes he'll be a sure starter in a lower team so everything will go to him.

I certainly wouldn't rule him out but if I'm honest it's Sturridge (bit pricier I know) who interests me as a third striker. He's been moaning about getting a shot as CF for a year or so. I genuinely believe he could be sensational at Liverpool and is worth the extra dosh.

How does this look with 0M in the bank and 1 WC to sort it out later if needed:

    Turnbull/Bunn
    Mertesacker, A.Cole, Clyne, Demel, O'Brien
    Mata, Bale, Walcott, Noble, Puncheon
    RVP, Suarez, Lambert

I will have 3x chelsea and 3x southampton for the double and will do mata->cazorla after GW22 so I have 3x arsenal and 3xWH for the double. I will only do if Chelsea v Sothampton is not a draw....thoughts?

I have Fed and Bunn at the moment so getting Turnbull isn't much of a change. I could easily swap back again to Fed after DGW if needed and swap to a better GK when I use my 2nd WC? Downgrading A.Cole and Mert to a couple of cheapies would free up funds to improve a GK and get in Berba for Lambert and/or Michu/Fellaini for Noble

    Morning all,

Looking at this WC team if DGW is confirmed. What do you reckon? Any suggestions?

    Bergovic | Jaskalaneien

    Nelsen | Gibbs | A.Cole | Demel | Clyne

    Walcott | Mata | Hazard | Noble | Puncheon

    Berbatov | Defoe | RVP

and would do Hazard to Carzola for GW23.

I for one have couple of places where you are able to make some cash. For excample I still have Olsson who could be replaced for a cheaper alternative. Its also hard to spend a FT on changing your 5th mid. Goalkeeper situation is another place that could use attention.

covering bases, the unexpected happens. Puncheon and Lambert have 2 games to score and Chelsea have 2 games to keep a clean sheet. If Puncheon and Lambert run riot against Villa and don't score against Chelsea so be it 🙂 Also Lambert has been the best value striker in the game over the course of the season and Puncheon is arguably the best value 5th midfielder to have

Another thing I've learnt. DEFs earn their keep with CS, not attacking points. All the Shorey love is absurd, when they are conceding 4 goals a game. Baines is clearly not 'essential', in fact he is barely ownable. Now Nastasic, Shawcross - those are players to own.

    I'm on a roll this morning 😉

Cheap defenders are the players to own. Defenders don't get too many points and the cheap ones don't do a whole lot worse than the expensive ones.

I have owned both, and sold both. Came to my senses. They both have potential for attacking points, but how often? - once every 5 or 6 games at best. Meanwhile no CS. There's no way that makes sense.

Wilson will be nailed on cheap Stoke cover ... Trouble with Baines is he has potential to explode. 1 penalty / free kick goal and a clean sheet and that's a lot of damage done if you don't own him but your rival does...

    Begovic – Foster
    Baines – Gibbs – Cuellar – Nelsen – O'Brien
    Bale – Mata – Cazorla – Michu – Puncheon
    Suarez – Ba – Berbatov

    1FT, 1.3 in the bank

Foster -> Turnbull this week and next week Berba -> Podolski will give me 4 DGW players each GW.

As I'm playing Puncheon, who to bench this GW:

    a) Michu ( eve)
    b) Cazorla (MCI)

He's hinting at collusion. TOT refused to pay £6m, then he went to Liege. A year later, Liege sells him to TOT for £3m because he's 'homesick'. If that was pre-arranged between TOT and Liege, then MU have lost a good prospect to a competitor below market.

How much did Liverpool pay for Sturridge? He seems like a typically overrated Liverpool signing to me. But if he was cheap that is OK

Well at least they didn't do a Caroll again. I just don't reckon he has ever been that good. I reckon a flop to be.

when playing a wildcard could I theoretically...

buy player A for 7.0 at the start of the week because I have a feeling his price will go up 0.2

    then

sell player A for 7.1 later in the week and use the extra 0.1 on another signing, while still on the same WC?

Yes, but don't sell anybody you have gained value with and want to keep.

thanks guys. Wish I knew that before I played my first WC very early in the season. Didn't know a lot of things early season, hence only just starting to climb the ranks.

Probably not much opportunity to use this strategy anyway. Can be hard to know who will rise 0.2 and if there is such a player you may want him in your team anyway.
