With a host of internationals just around the corner, Fantasy plans are temporarily on pause as we wait for the World Cup Qualifiers to pass without injury or incident. Taking a look at the main Premier League protagonists, we assess their respective game time over the qualifiers so far and analyse the risk of rest and rotation upon their return to domestic duties:

Due to the upcoming FA Cup Sixth Round replay on Monday April 1, United and Chelsea players are of particular interest. That match comes just two days after both sides’ Gameweek 31 trips to Sunderland and Southampton respectively – a win for Chelsea would ensure Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have a double Gameweek 33 but with a 15 point lead at the top of the table, United are certainly in a position to rest and rotate for their Black Cats’ showdown as the Red Devils look to get the better of Rafa Benitez’s side.

The United boss made eight changes for last Saturday’s narrow home win over Reading and with many of his squad involved over the internationals, he’s had plenty to say on the importance of squad rotation over the run-in – offering plenty of insight into his intentions over the remainder of the season as his side battle for silverware on two fronts:

“Freshness is the name of the game now as we come towards the end of the season and the intensity of vital games coming in quick succession. In fact we’re making arrangements for some players to fly home by privately hired jet after their matches to make sure they get home as quickly and smoothly as possible….Tiredness is a great leveller. But we’ll do our utmost to make sure we field the freshest possible teams. Private planes are going to cost the club an awful lot of money, but it is something we feel we have to do….The players who will miss the international trips, like Giggs, Anderson, Vidic, Buttner and Rafa will be key players in the run-in. My role becomes even more important in selecting the right teams, with freshness the operative quality. It’s not necessarily putting out your best team, it’s picking the freshest.”

While Ferguson’s comments offer assurance to Rafael owners after the right-back was rested for the Royals match, his mention of Buttner will be somewhat disconcerting for Patrice Evra owners. The left-back was omitted from a league fixture for only the second time this term last time out and has a couple of crucial games on his agenda for France over the next few days. Neck-and-neck with Spain at the top of Group I with seven points apiece, the French entertain Georgia on Friday evening before Spain arrive on Tuesday – Evra has played every minute of France’s three games so far and will surely play a significant part for the hosts, with that second match already looking like a potential group decider. The mention of Vidic – allied with Rio Ferdinand’s withdrawal from the England squad – perhaps places question marks over Jonny Evans for the Sunderland game. Having played 90 minutes in each of the last three for Northern Ireland, he now hosts Russia and Israel on Friday and Tuesday evening respectively.

Robin Van Persie’s game time has varied across Holland’s four matches so far. He’s played 90 minutes twice (scoring each time), has been subbed of at the break in one match and was an unused sub in another – the only issue is that with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar injured, the lack of alternatives could see the United man start both upcoming matches. The Dutch have two straightforward looking home games on their agenda, though – Estonia arrive on Friday before Romania arrive looking to avenge their 4-1 home defeat back in October. Of the two, the second game seems the likeliest of a 90 minute run out, though if 424the result is in the bag around the hour mark, there’s be no surprise to see him hauled off. Fantasy managers will be hoping Ferguson takes a leaf out of Arsene Wenger’s book when it comes to the forward – previously, the Arsenal boss successfully persuaded the Dutch FA to ease Van Persie’s workload on occasion during his stay at the Emirates.

Wayne Rooney is on his travels with England over the upcoming group games – Roy Hodgson’s side face a trip to whipping boys San Marino on Friday before making their way to Group H leaders Montenegro on Tuesday evening. Rooney missed the last two due to a leg injury but started the opening couple of group games, scoring three times, and was subbed off on 73 minutes on each occasion – given that his second appearance came against San Marino, Hodgson looks unlikely to rest and rotate.

For Chelsea, Eden Hazard is one of a handful of Premier League stars set to take to the field for Marc Wilmots’ Belgium in a double-header with Macedonia on Friday and Tuesday evening. Hazard played less than 60 minutes in Belgium’s first couple of group matches but has lasted the full 90 in the following two, suggesting he could be in for a hectic next few days as his country looks to establish a lead over Croatia at the top of Group A.Juan Mata has been drafted into the Spain squad ahead of a home game with Finland on Friday before a crucial trip to France the following Tuesday. He has yet to feature over his nation’s three matches so far though, after being rested following his Olympic exertions last summer. The likes of David Luiz, Oscar and Ramires are in the Brazil squad for friendlies against Italy and Russia; the latter has been ruled out of the first match but could return for the game against the Russians, which ironically takes place at Stamford Bridge. The Blues will also be hoping Gary Cahill recovers from the problem which has caused him to withdraw from England’s game with San Marino on Friday evening.

Uruguay will be relying on Luis Suarez to boost their chances of qualification after winning just three of their opening nine matches in the South African group. With three draws also accrued, they sit in fifth spot in their table, with the top four automatically going through. Suarez plays host to Paraguay on Friday evening before travelling to Chile the following Tuesday – having played all but 13 minutes of the eight games he has been available for (scoring seven times) two lots of 90 minutes look a safe bet as Suarez attempts to get his nation’s bid back on track. Reds strike partner Daniel Sturridge is in the England squad for the first time as a Liverpool player; given his peripheral role at Chelsea at the time of the last set of internationals, he has yet to play a part in his nation’s campaign under Hodgson.

With a home clash against Reading up next and a double Gameweek 33 on the horizon, Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott look set for significant investment. Cazorla has been called up for Spain’s two games this week, though he’s started just one of the three group fixtures so far and has been utilised as a sub for David Silva on a couple of occasions. Walcott was out of the reckoning on the domestic front at the time of the previous batch of internationals but looks likely to come into contention as Hodgson attempts to claw back the two-point gap at the summit.

Gareth Bale has shrugged off the ankle knock sustained in Tottenham’s home loss to Fulham last weekend and has declared himself fit ahead of Friday’s trip to Scotland. The winger also plays host to Croatia the following Tuesday and having played every minute of the campaign so far – and scored all three of Wales’ goals – it seems more than likely he’ll play both games from start to finish before Spurs make their way to Swansea the following Saturday afternoon.

Roberto Mancini will be hoping David Silva can get through Spain’s two games without any issues. Silva has started all three group games for the defending champions so far and, after being taken off injured in the opener, has been subbed off around the hour mark in the last two. Vincent Kompany is in the Belgium squad though is unlikely to features due to his ongoing calf complaint, while Pablo Zabaleta faces a home clash with Venezuela on Friday before travelling to Bolivia on Tuesday afternoon as Argentine look to stretch their lead at the top of the South America group. Sergio Aguero is out injured, though, while Carlos Tevez is omitted from the squad once again. Yaya Toure and brother Kolo are in the Ivory Coast squad that hosts Gambia early Saturday evening.

Fantasy managers will also be keeping an eye on Villa’s Christian Benteke. The forward has led the line for Belgium in three of the last four and while Marouane Fellaini has been called up, his two-match domestic suspension sees him fall off Fantasy radars prior to a double Gameweek 33. Elsewhere, Newcastle pair Moussa Sissoko and Yohan Cabaye are both in the France squad – the latter looks to have recovered from the groin problem which forced him out of Sunday’s loss at Wigan and has started all three group games for Les Bleus thus far. Alan Pardew will also be hoping Papiss Cisse can navigate Senegal’s home clash against Angola on Saturday evening, with a crucial trip to the Etihad next up for the Magpies. Wigan’s Arouna Kone will also be looking to continue his strong domestic form for Ivory Coast’s clash with Gambia.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    BREAKING NEWS

Jose Mourinho has denied reports that he has come to an agreement with Real Madrid to leave the La Liga champions at the end of the season. "I have no agreement with Real Madrid to go. I have signed nothing, that's a nonsense," said Mourinho. "My future? I am not training outside of Spain, England, Italy or France." Mourinho also criticised FIFA over the voting process for 2012 Coach of the Year. "I'm accusing FIFA of irregularities," he said.

Well all the Arsenal fans seems to suggest it's Fabianski's spot to lose now, so he'll only drop out when he makes a big howler. Mucha will drop out as soon as Howard is fit, no doubt. Fab replaced Chesney, Mucha is covering for Howard there is a big difference

To be honest, no. I went for Reina for the LIV DGW and he did'nt really accumulate. I can't see NOR or EVE raining shots on the ARS goal, so maybe you are looking at 1 cleanie and a couple of save points - maybe 8-10 overall. I reckon it is better to punt of someone who might suddenly explode or a defender who could get a goal.

Right... how do I shoehorn Caz into this lot...?

    Team linked but:

    Bego (Fed)

    Clichy, Rafael, Azpil (Wilson, Mariap)

    Michu, Wally, Bale, Sissoko (Hoilett)

    RVP, Suarez, Benteke

I tried to do Michu + RVP to Rooney and Caz but I'm 0.1m short.. grrrr (Michu I only sell for 7.5).

I am really feeling a big haul from Giroud, also as well as Cazorla. Also, another issue is that one of RVP and Rooney looks set to rest for the replay, this has, however, got me into considering a hit for them for someone instead. Then again, as a WC owner, I doubt a hit would make sense in this case with GW33 just ahead for WC activation.

Why wc in GW33? GW36 will be much better for a DGW wc. I don't see many Everton players worth owning (Howard/Mucha maybe) Baines, Fellaini/Pienaar/Osman and Any Chubby. No one from West Ham. Most people will already have Theo and Caz this week, so that only leaves one Arsenal spot to fill, which will likely be Fab, Monreal or Giroud in before GW33 anyway. So you're using the wc to get 2 or 3 Everton players. Seems a waste to me.

You can wildcard in 33 so that you;re also set up for 36, you know. Just takes a bit of forward planning, and picking players who you know won't be dropped in the intervening weeks.

Leave rotation-affected players like the United and Chelsea attacks up to the week before, everyone else should be selectable three weeks in advance.

Only needs a goal and you're up, with the expected BPs that follow. But the WC does alter the thinking a bit. I don't normally take a hit with a WC around the corner.

That's true. I'll take these advice with me when the actual planning starts. At this time, it is all just about clarifying the question marks, gathering of information, to make sure I am fully informed before the real thing starts. We have still got two weeks left for all the planning.

Maciej Szczesny, the father of Wojciech Szczesny, in today's newspaper in Poland quite strongly criticized Wenger for benching his son in the last 2 games. Don't know if his words come to Wenger and even if they do, they'll have any impact on him, but for sure it shouldn't help his situation.

Can I just get this clear in my head for Doubles

    GW33

Confirmed - Arsenal, Everton, West Ham

    Possible - Man Utd

    GW36 -

    Confirmed - Wigan, Swansea

Possible - Man Utd, Man City, WBA, Chelsea*, Stoke, Tottenham*, Fulham*

    * The Tottenham DGW would be dependant on Chelsea winning the replay. The Fulham game from GW29 is still to be re-arranged so could go GW33 or 36

I reckon the scheduling is because Chelsea/Tottenham is first choice for GW33 - but if Chelsea go out of the cup they'll use the slot to play Fulham.

Well the Fulham game would have to be midweek cause the cup is in the weekend instead of the Tottenham game. So why would the not rearrange now. Like United did with the West Ham game.

The league want to get Chelsea/Spurs out of the way because they're still in Europa and might struggle to schedule it later in the season. So they'll play Spurs in GW33 regardless - either at the weekend or midweek. Which one depends on the result of the Cup Replay, so they need to wait until the result of the replay before they confirm the date.

Chelsea will play GW33 midweek, but they don't want to commit their opponents yet. Only logical solution as far as I can see.

It may also depend on EUROPA, as if Chelsea are in still in it, they may have a Europa game midweek, this may force a similar scenario to next GW where Chelsea play the SF on the Saturday (even though it's currently pencilled in for the Sunday) play Spurs on the Monday, then Europa on the Thursday

Greetings everyone. I'm on vacation right now but had to share my thoughts regarding the upcoming DGWs.

It just dawned on me that the ramifications of a Chelsea win in the FA Cup are huge.

    If Chelsea win the replay:

    -United get a DGW33
-Chelsea vs Spurs is cancelled on 33

Those with Mata/Hazard + Bale get 2 blankers on 33, midfield spots that they'd ideally like to fill. That's 2 transfers.

In addition, you'd want to spend another transfer on getting additional United cover in for the DGW.

The difficult thing is that we'll only know more right after GW31's deadline. How the heck do you plan for this within a limited time frame and with so much uncertainty over which players to bring in?

You could get Fellaini and Cazorla in NOW (confirmed DGW33 assets) and get those transfers out of the way; but ideally you'd want to get Afro at a massive discount after he drops over 2 GWs. Plus it would be madness to bring in a player who won't even play for 2 weeks (unless you have a viable 5th mid).

This is making my head spin.

A United win would definitely make things easier for 33:

    -United @ West Ham
    -Chelsea vs Spurs
    -ARS and EVE DGW

I dont understand what that changes? They still have no game midweek GW 33 and other midweeks are full unless Chelsea drop out. There wont be less or more games depending on their FA Cup win. I would understand that it would be likely that they will play the Fulham game midweek if they win the cup to avoid congestion. But if they lose I dont see what that changes.

That's exactly the point - nothing changes if they lose the replay - but they don't know yet whether they will lose it or not.

If CHE/TOT go all the way in the Europa they can't play GW34, 35, 36 and if CHE get to the FA Cup Final they'll need to schedule their GW37 game for later in GW37. They can#t have any fixtures beyond GW38 so GW33 is the only option for CHE/TOT, if needed. So the league don't want to schedule CHE/FUL for GW33 as that would mean if Chelsea beat Man Utd, they're buggered. That's why they haven't scheduled it yet.

You're right - but I believe that will be when they play Fulham - as a last resort because it's a few days before a potential Cup Final. The priority is to get Chelsea/Tottenham out of the way - because that's going to be more problematic to reschedule. So this is the preferred GW33 fixture, should it come to that.

GW33 Chelsea v Tottenham if needed, Chelsea v Fulham if not - all hinging on the Cup Replay. That's why we are waiting.

I saved last weeks transfers so could do this week

Harte & Nzogbia > Monreal & Cazorla (punting on Monreal keeping his spot).

I'm looking at trying to not dispose of the blanks for GW33, so I'm stacked well for GW36.

If Utd go through I'd have

Monreal, Cazorla, Walcott, Fellaini and probably save a transfer towards the potentially massive GW36 team.

I know I know, on paper he's a great fit for this fixture. Just been really off form recently. His performance in the North London derby really frustrated me. I know he'll come good eventually, but very much two steps forward one step back right now. His lack of pace is a bit of an issue I think.

The irony is that Giroud actually thrives off simple service, long balls, crosses, not elegant through balls. It's almost like Arsenal need to stop trying to play tiki taka to get the guy to score. His goals against West Ham, Spurs etc are perfect examples.

It certainly limits Rodgers somewhat - he still has henderson if he wants to go with 4-3-3 with Suarez on side and Downing the other but I'd say Coutinho is looking likely of retaining his starts. Then again, we don't know if they'll be a backlash from the defeat at Southampton.

He vowed to win a trophy for CHE when he first got here and he has also another priority to locate a top four spot for CHE at this point in time, so rotation seems very likely and also crucial for their position.

33 and 36 are the logical ones as there's no European competition in these weeks. Of course, games involving teams not in Europe can still play but a) UEFA don't like it and b) the clubs involved don't want to compete with Barcelona et al on TV.

excellent value...you could see him getting a big haul in one or two games...he is actually a very silky footballer...I like the look of him. Maybe it's the fact I have him in the doubles team and he's done the business...I'm seeing him as a viable option, more so than I would have perhaps.

I've gone with the no hits policy unless I felt there was an emergency... (two times I've taken hits were to get City strikers (c) with a nice home fixture, one worked, the other did not!)

All the old hands here will tell you that most hits don't pay off. If you take lots of them you end up worse off in the end. But I'm the type if person who needs to find these things out for himself. I took a lot of hits early on to maximise team value but they become like saltwater for thirst - you get further behind and feel like you need a big punt to catch up.

But in doing it I've learned a lot. Mainly that next season, I'll take few or no hits but do all my transfers early in the week. That's enough to build value

lols, it's too much to contemplate a marathon unless you break it down into chunks. Why not try a half-marathon first? You find distances you thought were impossible become possible if you complete shorter ones.

For example 5km was a challenge for me, but I'm now getting used to it, so running 10km wasn't too daunting yesterday. Double that and you've got a half marathon.

Oh yeah, will definitely need to do some shorter distance runs first.
So basically your telling me if I quadruple what I'm struggling with now I'll be half way there 😆 😉 Study month for my Uni is on in a couple of weeks so maybe I'll just spend April training and the last week cramming

I trained for a half marathon over several months by running 3 miles 4 x a week and 6 miles once a week. I never ran more than 6 miles until the day of the half marathon. Once you've built up to the six miles consistently actually doing the half marathon doesn't seem all that much harder.

That's pretty much what I'm running right now, ie. 5km 3 times this week and a single 10km so far. Completing the 10km distance has really helped me comprehend running longer distances and sorted out my pacing. I find after running the first 5km you settle into a kind of equilibrium where you can go on for a while.

Struggling means your fitness will improve because you're testing your body 🙂 Keep struggling!

Increasingly I start races very slow and ramp it up over the race. The challenge of a race is getting enough oxygen to your muscles. So I find hyperventilating even when you're not tired is useful - it keeps you nicely oxygenated. Might sound strange but definitely works.

OK well here goes, running 10km for charity Parkinson's UK on Saturday in Richmond, London. Any donations much appreciated at the following page. Perhaps telling you there's a photo of me there looking like a numpty will encourage you to take a look 😆 http://www.justgiving.com/isacki

feck top 1k , i wanna get back in top 100

Cazorla,Walcott,Giroud,Baines will be my dgw players and i will still have 1FT left so i could rid one of arsenal boys or Baines

this season i had quite amazing scores when it comes to dgws so hopefully i can get my old magic back and plan transfers right

Despite the looming DGWs in GW33 (United, Chelsea), I think I have a general consensus of who I want for DGW33.

    WILL CERTAINLY OWN:
Arsenal: Walcott(own), Santi (swap Mata this week)
    Everton: Fellaini (will swap Michu)
    United: RVP(own)

    MAYBE:
    Arsenal: Giroud (swap Benteke)
    Everton: Baines (swap GJ)
    United: JEvans/Rafael (swap GJ)
    Chelsea: Hazard (swap Bale)

That being said, not owning Chelsea cover doesn't bother me, as their schedule is very condensed. Arsenal and Everton's DGWs intrigue me more than United's for some odd reason.. maybe due to the fact United won a scrap 1-0 game vs Reading..

    Any help?

    Fabianski and Figueroa
    or
    Robles and Mertesacker

God DdG as the other goalie.

God? De Gea's not that good yet. Since you already have DdG, I'd only care about the defender, so I'd go Mertesacker.

Just got new car to get me to football,( so football related topic) was sure there was bluetooth when I looked at it but now it isn't there and garage are claiming model doesn't have it despite manufacturers website saying it has.
I got rear parking sensors put in, is it possible this action could have deactivated bluetooth.
Know it's off topic but looking from help from anywhere
