Is Terry > Ivanovic too sideways? At this stage I can't see any obvious changes I need to make next week baring injury tonight. Branislav was just awesome, plays so far up the field and if he starts 80% of the time he's going to get the attacking points.

Ivanovic is not nailed on. He was fortunate to be up against a shite winger today. If it had been Azpi playing at RB, he would have probably had 2 assists and Chelsea would have scored 5.

i may not have seen much of azpi this year, but he seems much more like a defensive minded LB, no? i know he get's forward, but not with the drive and enthusiasm that ivan has. last year i had azpi as he was a bargain, but it annoyed me that he's always one of the defenders staying back when they win a corner whereas ivan, terry and cahill all join the party

Well, you can't expect him to get good crosses in with his weaker foot. Though mind you Azpi is probably better at crossing with his left than Ivanovic is with his right.

Obviously chelsea tactics dictated why he didnt get forward much more so than him being right footed. I just wanted to point that out whn you called him a defensively minded LB. If you saw him in the champions league it was a different story. Much more licence to get forward and much better returns. Playing on the right would prob help him a bit more too 😉

He's defensive-minded at LB because he's playing on the wrong flank. He's very attacking minded at RB. Look at his first season with Chelsea. 6 assists in just over 2000 minutes.
