With cheque books fluttering on the eve of the transfer window slamming shut, our Fantasy seasons could be transformed by some notable new arrivals. In this week’s ScoutCast episode, Granville and I chew over the latest fresh faces to crash the player list – United’s “Angel” Di Maria and Liverpool’s “Devil” Balotelli.

With just a single point between us and the comfort of top 100k placings, my co-host and I are more than just a little content as we the rule over the current bandwagons and preview another weekend’s action. It won’t last.

Bed yourself in via this link, or get acclimatised via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    If I Downgrade Aguero to Jovetic it gives me so much more money to spend elsewhere but surely Aguero is the most nailed on striker for City?

      I'm in such a similar bind, but you have better DEF options. Maybe favor Naismith over Debuchy? Just feels better to have an attacking bias. Hard to support Mutch given QPR's woes thus far. Thanks for weighing in earlier, by the way.

    Hi community,

    could you help me out as I've taken my medication which makes me drowsy and now i cant think straight.

    what's my best move with this front line (1FT 2.0 itb):

    Hazard, Ramsey, Eriksen, Siggy, Arnautovic
    Costa, Rooney, Austin

    Am I along the right lines here:

    A. Costa->Aguero
    B. Costa->Jovetic
    C. Costa->Adebayor
    C. One of B or C and Arnie->Lamela (-4)?

    How I am lining up now Costa is injured..

    Bego - (myhill)
    Baines - Oshea - Clyne - Dummet - Chambers
    Siggy(c) - Eriksen - Rambo - Sterling - (sidwell)
    Rooney - (Austin - Costa)

    Don't really want to play a 5-4-1, but if Chmabers starts I think my backline looks decent enough for this gw.

    got 1.8 in the bank but no FT
    costa -> aguero ?
    sidwell -> De Jong ?

      Don't have any direct advice given your lack of FT. I will offer that downgrading Baines for a hit last week was a great move for me. Freed up cash for improvements elsewhere without fear of losing a lot of DEF points in the near future (due to EVE tough fixtures). I may want him back later, but I regret that he was part of my original team.

          Yeah, at Anfield we can be a match for anyone.

          Ideally we need to focus on getting 10 points from the 4 games against Basel and Ludogorets though and treat anything we get vs Madrid as a bonus

          Basel beat Chelsea twice last season, so they're no mugs.

          I'm so so looking forward to those champions league nights being back

        Balotelli will wind up Ramos and Pepe a lot.

        I think at Anfield BR will go all out to attack but at the Bernabeu I expect something like Hendo Stevie Allen Can in midfield. With Hendo being the most advanced

    FISO price predictions are back, but they're predicting 162 players to fall tonight and haven't marked Balotelli or Di Maria as being protected.

    I don't think they've quite worked out the fine details of FPL's new price change algorithm yet, but at least they've made a start!

      No one knows yet if new players to the PL are protected this year. We'll find out soon enough.

        There may also be a lot more uncertainty about players' exact ownership, and possibly also about their exact number of net transfers in or out since their last price changes, than there used to be, and therefore a much larger margin of error in the current predictions by both TotalFPL and FISO.

        That is true. FPL got protection very wrong last season for players like RVP, who was constantly getting flagged and unflagged and therefore spent a lot of time under protection, with the result that his price hardly fell despite massive numbers of transfers out.

        But I would be very surprised if protection does not still apply to players such as Balotelli and Di Maria who have recently joined a new club.

        I suspect that the large number of players above 100% in FISO's predictions for rises and falls may be that these are the players whose prices MIGHT rise or fall. They probably don't expect anything like that number of players to actually change price, but they do not yet have much idea about how many will do so, or which ones.

        There was only one price rise this morning and no price falls, but FISO are currently still listing 8 risers and 162 fallers over 100%!

      Ronaldo was one of the RM players who pleaded with the RM hierarchy to not sell Di Maria. I don't think Ronaldo will come to United in this window but its certainly a move which could happen in the next 12 months.
