With cheque books fluttering on the eve of the transfer window slamming shut, our Fantasy seasons could be transformed by some notable new arrivals. In this week’s ScoutCast episode, Granville and I chew over the latest fresh faces to crash the player list – United’s “Angel” Di Maria and Liverpool’s “Devil” Balotelli.

With just a single point between us and the comfort of top 100k placings, my co-host and I are more than just a little content as we the rule over the current bandwagons and preview another weekend’s action. It won’t last.

    This might be a noob question, but what is the deal with the sub order? Anyway they'll all get no pts right? Does this mean that if a starter doesn't play your sub will get points? Can someone explain this to me...

      So long as it's a legal formation your first sub will come on if you have a player in the 11 get 0 minutes.

      If your starter doesn't play your 1st choice sub will come on. If your 1st choice didn't play then you 2nd, and so on.

      Your first sub, i.e, the one of the left (not the sub keeper) will always come on for anyone who doesn't play, but only if it doesn't break any of the formation rules...

      For example, if you play 3-4-3, and one of your defenders doesn't play, but your 1st sub is a midfielder... this means you will get your second sub (providing he also played) into your team...

      Obviously it would have been possible, but would have to be near perfect.

          Top 100K? Certainly. Yes he was miles above any other player but I'd bet there were quite a few in the top 100K who didn't have Suarez.

            I seem to recall fpl discovery revealing that there was 1 person in the top 1K who went the whole season without Suarez!

      Possible yes. If you were a psychic/ had a time machine, you could be transferred in the honest few scorers (not including suarez) every week, captained one of them and voila, massive score.

      Of course, in practice you would've done a lot worse with him.

        He's been subbed off regularly and hasn't scored any goals yet. Facing competition from Gomis, although Monk has said they might be paired up.

        8.5m, I just don't know if I would want to put my money there...

        No, I'm not. In fact, been playing a few seasons to know certain players - e.g. Cisse played very well when he came in in the January transfer window and performed poorly the following season.

        So, some players do have that and looks like Bony is going towards that direction. Of course, these stats are just temporary.

        With regards Hutton, a possible shift to Dummett I think is the best bet unless your funds can stretch beyond.

          Its more of an enabling TF to get the cash for say Aguero or a Naismith upgrade. Its a boring TF but unless you plan on using WC soon i think DDG needs to go. They look terrible at the back.

          I'm always a fan of home players over away ones for the lower 4.5/4.0 defs..

          The clean sheet odds linked above give Southampton and Sunderland almost double the odds of getting a clean sheet of Newcastle and Villa.

    somehow my Holtby drops everytime he reaches -100% on TFPL while other players with similar ownership don't.

      We were never meant to know. I'm fine with it. Transfers in will eventually lead to price rise, transfers out vice versa. All you need to know
