With cheque books fluttering on the eve of the transfer window slamming shut, our Fantasy seasons could be transformed by some notable new arrivals. In this week’s ScoutCast episode, Granville and I chew over the latest fresh faces to crash the player list – United’s “Angel” Di Maria and Liverpool’s “Devil” Balotelli.

With just a single point between us and the comfort of top 100k placings, my co-host and I are more than just a little content as we the rule over the current bandwagons and preview another weekend’s action. It won’t last.

Bed yourself in via this link, or get acclimatised via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Same boat, sinking fast. I'm waiting until later. Definitely getting rid of Giroud, but depending on Costa/Aguero injuries I may get Kun or Jovetic.

Real Madrid are close to completing a £20m deal to sign forward Radamel Falcao from Monaco.

He could be the difference between 2nd and 1st in La Liga. Would expect him to grab a minimum of 25 league goals. Thats worth alot more than 20 mill.

Ted Knutson (stats chap) said this, I think when Liverpool were said to be in for him:

"Falcao started to fall off last season, even before the move to Monaco. A lot of his goalscoring was boosted by penalties. Strip those out and you have a good, but nowhere near great goalscorer. Add in age curve and the significant injury he suffered last season, cross that with already inflated transfer fees and wages, and you have a potential poison pill."

He isn't right about everything, obviously, but he's worth listening to.

If Monaco are asking for £20 mill for a loan, it would be £50 mill at least to buy.. and we can't spend that much more money this summer.

Reading all these articles about LVG trying to reshape the team before the end of the transfer window, I really think that until this transition period is over, it is best to have maximum 1 Utd player in my team. Once the team is set, only then will they slowly improve. ATM it is just complete chaos there + zero confidence.

    Opinions?

Tricky situation on whether to start Chambers or Bruce.

Hull v. Villa could have 0-0 written all over it, and Arsenal could well keep a cleanse v Leicester.

What would be the best use of 2 free transfers with this lot..
Nice start so far.. 0 in bank..

    Begovic
    Taylor // lovren // Terry
    Hazard // Ramsey // Siggy // Lamela
    Rooney // Costa // Diouf

    Myhill // Young // Chester // Moore

Best upcoming fixtures seem to be SUN // NEW // UTD // POOL // STK

So I am tempted to hold onto Diouf at least for next weeks home game..
Is Ashley Young likely to play this gameweek?? Would like one more week out of him and bench Diouf..

    GW4: Dzeko ---> Adebayor

    2:

GW3: Save FT and risk the price rises and falls

Wenger: "All [transfer negotiations] need to be as secret as possible"

"I will actively be involved on deadline day. I will be on alert until the last minute"

"We have shown in the last two seasons that if there are [players to buy], we will do it"

"The last few days [of the transfer window] are like poker games"

sounds like arsene knows what has to be done...if he is talking like this, we are sure to sign 2-3 players... 🙂

Surely you've been left disappointed by Wenger enough by now to not fall for the whole "expecting deadline day transfers" thing that always upsets Arsenal fans as it never really goes well for them, with the exception of Ozil 🙂

Having said that, there seems to be money available now, so come on Arsene, give us some more players to play with! 😀

    Morning gents/ladies,

Can somebody please give me some insight on why everyone is going for PVA over Vergini? PVA has 1 assist. Vergini scored twice in pre season? Help - I'm on a WC and need to know which to put in.

Pva's former employers seem to give him greater weight... I'd say go with your gut on this one

Surely not...Wenger doesn't exactly do things the easy, or sensible, way does he? It must be so frustrating for Arsenal fans; they look a couple of quality signings away from challenging for the title, they now have the money, and Wenger is pissing about with Birmingham flops.

They need a quality striker and, for DM, they should snap up Carvalho. If he goes to Utd for relatively cheap, Arsenal fans should be very annoyed.
