With less than four weeks left until the season gets underway, the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game for 2015/16 finally opened its doors earlier today.

Whilst Fantasy managers start to build their opening squads, reigning champion Geoff Pryor will be hoping to retain his crown after earning a cool £30,000 for finishing first last season – if you missed our interview with Geoff, click here for the lowdown on his title-winning campaign.

As many of you will know, the Sky Sports game is one that we’ve covered in the past, with our Members area including the relevant bonus point recipients across the positions.

After winning the Best League for each of the last three years, we’re looking forward to defending our title once again. The winner of last season’s Scout League picked up £1,000 for their achievements and we’re hoping to offer prizes for whoever finishes at the summit once again.

We’ll be re-starting our official league soon and will be rolling out a series of articles over the next couple of weeks, looking at the Player List and analysing the best tactical approaches.

Regular contributor d1sable is on board once more to roll out his regular Friday afternoon articles – he clinched yet another top 100 spot in 2015/16 and will be looking to heap the pressure on Geoff at the summit.

We’ve set up a new community article to exclusively deal with Sky Sports Fantasy teams. Those looking to get involved with the discussion should click this link.

Depay and Cabaye you will have to wait and see if they are nailed on. Same with J Rod. I like the rest including Mane.

should be, can't see that's he's been bought as back-up to Valencia

It's classic FFS logic, Valencia played there last season, so he must be the starter this time.

    Lost on prior page.

Looking for comments, in particular a way to diversify the back line. Not sure I need Huth and Kasper, but getting Panti in for save points would then require an alternative for O'Shea. 5.0 is the limit as I have 0.5 in the bank. Maybe Adrian? Who rotates well with Ruddy?

    Kasper/Ruddy
    Darmian/Huth/Mert/Williams/O'Shea
    Hendo/Haz/Ritchie/Ramsey/Mane
    Costa/Benteke/Deeney

    Cheers!

Quick A or B scenario, first 3 weeks ONLY:

    A) Walcott + Mane

    B) Ozil + Yaya

I've got my thoughts, but want a few more opinions. Remember, first 3 weeks ONLY, so Walcott is more likely to get a run than if it were the whole season.

Probably overdone it a bit with the mid-priced mids. I'd look to upgrade 1 to an 8.5/9 mil, and downgrade 1 of the others to more like a 6.

Not sure about a Norwich defence double up either.

Obviously needs some work, but I quite like the balance of this lot:

    Panti
    Ivanovic, Bellerin, Morgan
    Hazard, Yaya, Cazorla, Henderson
    Rooney, Kane, Wilson

    4.0, Francis, Wanyama, 4.0

Potentially 5 penalty takers if Aguero misses start (6 if Rooney is put back on) in the front 7.

      I like it Bubz!

You could downgrade Henderson to Ritchie and upgrade Bellerin to Kos.

Cheers. Yeah it's between Hendo and Ritchie for that spot atm. But I wouldn't want double Bournemouth attack so would then have to change Wilson.

Aguero as he will be ever reliable once he is in the team. I like Hazard, but I'm thinking of going for Fabregas as he tends to make the better start (will swap them after a while).

A friend of mine has already dismissed my 'Ain't no Holebas girl' team name as woeful.

The irony is all this is his 'Who the Fuchs cares?' team name.

I love Ain't No Holebas Girl as a team name, and it's what I've gone for.

My housemate told me I was overthinking it with 'Mings the Merciless'.

What do people think of this?

    GK'S: Cech, Guzan

DEF'S: Clyne, Alderweireld, Lescott, Mertesacker, Baker

MID'S: Hazard, Henderson, Wanyama, Depay, Payet

    ST'S: Costa, Kane, Deeney

Very happy with the midfield. The rest I'm iffy on.

Defense and keepers look a bit expensive - are you really going to rotate Cech.

Midfielders look a bit punty for my liking - I'd go for another proven big hitter if I were you.

      Rooney/Aguero instead of Costa?

True, I guess I'll just get a £4M goalkeeper. I was thinking of Rooney or Aguero but I don't know which midfielder to get rid of :s

For me, Depay is untested and there may well be better options, e.g. Silva/Yaya/Arsenal 8.5.

In all likelihood the top points scorer will either be Hazard, Sanchez or Aguero, so I'd want at least 2 of them in my team.

Well Aguero and Sanchez aren't fit so I'm not sure about putting them in.

I just thought that because Depay could be good because goals seem to be the main part of his game whichis also the main aim of players on fantasy football.

Maybe transfer Kane out for Rooney and Depay out for Mane?

I'd have a plan for when Sanchez and Aguero to get them in the team when they return to match fitness - that will probably mean getting another cheap midfielder and getting rid of Costa/Kane.

I just don't like the uncertainty surrounding United midfielders atm, with so many attack-minded players I fear that Depay's play time could be under threat - he may be eased into the prem.

Good points. I'll definitely consider a way to get Sanchez or Aguero into the team. Could transfer Depay out for Cabaye since he's proven in the premier league? I could also transfer Kane out for Lukaku maybe?

Probably the only ManU defender with a nailed on start due to lack of serious starting competition, behind a much bolstered midfield to protect it.

Plus who would pay 6.0m for Smalling.

Darmian. Unknown quantity and there are more dependable picks at a cheaper price. Not entirely sure LVG will drop him straight in against Spurs (think he might opt with Valencia to start, but I guess this depends on Pre-season. Lindegard had a great pre-season and was wingback for the first game against Swansea)

Haven't been on here in months, hi guys. Set up a team a few days ago and haven't had many ideas for changes yet. Feel pretty confident in most of the picks. Any opinions on here, while it's slow?

    Pants Rudd
    Ivan Kos Layun Mings Morgan
    Hazard Walcott Mata Richie Wanyama
    Aguero Sakho Deeny

Aguero (fitness), Mata (will he be nailed?), and Layun (will he still start in midfield?) are my biggest question marks at the moment.

    Thanks yall

@Spineless Weasel (formerly JK) how would you get Ivan in this team?
    Ruddy Myhill
    Azpi Darmian A.Williams O'Shea Francis
    Hazard Ozil Chadli Henderson Wanyama
    Costa Rooney Deeney

I don't really won't to drop Darmian to a 4.5 and then have to worry about rotating 4 defenders. You need two

Hi all, I've done a bit of tinkering and hopefully this is better than my last draft, let me know please:

    Ruddy / Butland

Ivan Cedric Huth / Dawson (Targett)

    Hazard Silva Ritchie Fab (Wanyama)

    Gomis Deeney Rooney

    Here's the thinking:
    - Both Hazard and Fab typically have strong starts
    - Looking to transfer in Sanchez once his gametime is assured (1.5m ITB)
    - Any recommendations on a 4.5 defender instead of Dawson to rotate with Huth would be appreciated
    - I believe Gomis can really kick on from last season and become Swansea's main man, bagging a load of goals

    Cheers
