With less than four weeks left until the season gets underway, the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game for 2015/16 finally opened its doors earlier today.

Whilst Fantasy managers start to build their opening squads, reigning champion Geoff Pryor will be hoping to retain his crown after earning a cool £30,000 for finishing first last season – if you missed our interview with Geoff, click here for the lowdown on his title-winning campaign.

As many of you will know, the Sky Sports game is one that we’ve covered in the past, with our Members area including the relevant bonus point recipients across the positions.

After winning the Best League for each of the last three years, we’re looking forward to defending our title once again. The winner of last season’s Scout League picked up £1,000 for their achievements and we’re hoping to offer prizes for whoever finishes at the summit once again.

We’ll be re-starting our official league soon and will be rolling out a series of articles over the next couple of weeks, looking at the Player List and analysing the best tactical approaches.

Regular contributor d1sable is on board once more to roll out his regular Friday afternoon articles – he clinched yet another top 100 spot in 2015/16 and will be looking to heap the pressure on Geoff at the summit.

We’ve set up a new community article to exclusively deal with Sky Sports Fantasy teams. Those looking to get involved with the discussion should click this link.

I think so, and I don't think Bellerin is nailed anymore. Great player but risky with Debuchy back. A fit Debuchy is a safer pick for Arsene, imo. Bellerin still young and raw.

Hello Scout readers, members and stalkers,
I am running a Head 2 Head cash league called "Hundreds". The fee to enter is $20 and is done through Paypal with payment email address being dalinkwentrider@hotmail.com . The payout is 2nd- $20 and the Champion takes the rest. If the table is tied at the end of the season, total points will be used as the goal differential. I have provided the code below, please provide your team name in comments of Paypal payment. All non-paid teams will be booted at the kickoff of gw 1.

    Code: 3752-2109

Be aware of friendlies, just because a player does well in some meaningless matches doesn't necessarily replicate in to the full season. If I've learned anything since I started playing this game, it's that not much changes from season to season, in spite of transfers etc.

Chelsea will still be there or thereabouts with Man City, I expect Man Utd to get closer this year as they have added real quality, but the former are the teams to beat. Arsenal will also be in the Top Four. You'll then have Tottenham and Liverpool thereafter, continuing to struggle as they were last year, and following them will be Southampton, Swansea, Stoke City, West Ham and Newcastle.

I expect Newcastle to make a big jump this season, as they tailed off on a horrible run of form last season, and now have the stability under SM to see them back to where they should be (in terms of wage budget) around that Top 10 area.

The same applies to players as well, there's no reason to suggest that the players that did well last season won't repeat the feat again. There'll be the odd signing that flourishes but then conversely there'll be plenty that perform poorly or mediocre.

My advice? Approach this season with the same thinking you had when picking a team towards the middle to the end of last season. Little changes.

Im personally backing united to have alot of cleanies this year. With Schneirderlin and Schweinsteiger pulling all the holes in midfield. A proper right back in the team and potential a new CB, a fully fit luke shaw.. United had a fair few cleanies last year without all these improvments.

Especially if they sell De Gea for big money and get someone with better saving technique and control of the game, who allows them to defend with a higher line. Not sure if Oblak is the solution, however.

Actually the hardest top 5 league to score in, or in fact to get into a decent scoring chance, and just how "dreadful" his season was has been wildly exaggerated. It was a tough campaign for the whole team that lacked creative players and had a really harsh Autumn schedule.

I'm starting to see a lot of teams without Hazard.
I think Hazard is as essential as they come to start with personally.
If he does start slow, it's an easy transition to Fabregas which will prob fund Costa/Rooney to Aguero when fit.
I'll be trying my best to fit both Hazard and a route to Aguero into my team from the start!

With that said. How many people are planning to start with:

    HAZ
    HAZ/Route to Aguero
    None

Does the balance of this look OK? I'm pretty set on my choices. Have £1 million in my bank and might use it to upgrade Morgan to a £5 and Targett to a £4.5. Otherwise I want to keep a bit free to use as necessary

    Ruddy/Guzan
    Ivanovic/Darmain/Mings/Morgan (or £4.5) / Targett
    Hazard / Fabregas/ Walcott/ Ritchie / Bentaleb
    Rooney / Bony / Deeney

My team template as things stand...

    Rotating Keepers (9.5)
Arsenal DF (Koscielny) - Chelsea DF (Azpilicueta) - 3 rotating 4.5
    Hazard - Ozil/Ramsey - Henderson - ? - 4.5
    Aguero - ? - ?

I have 20.5M to fill in the blanks.
This could for example be Puncheon - Giroud - Deeney OR Yaya - Sakho - Deeney.
These are the 3 positions require the most consideration in my opinion.

I'd downgrade Silva to upgrade the defence.

hard to say. Depends what formation we use, even if it's one with wingers-4-3-3, he would be competing with Coutinho, and Firmino. Also Lallana & Markovic as well
