Today’s Wembley showpiece between Chelsea and Arsenal affords Fantasy managers further opportunity to scout our options for the upcoming campaign, with the Premier League kick off now just six days away.

For the Blues, Diego Costa is sidelined due to “discomfort in his hamstring” once again. Loic Remy is handed the chance to lead the line in the Spain international’s absence, with loan signing Radamel Falcao on the bench. William and Ramires join Eden Hazard in the attacking midfield three behind Remy, with Jose Mourinho naming last season’s defensive regulars along with Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic in the double-pivot.

Theo Walcott gets the chance to lead the line for Arsenal, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain selected in the XI as Olivier Giroud is named amongst the subs. Arsene Wenger’s side are as expected, otherwise, with Hector Bellerin selected ahead of Mathieu Debuchy at right-back, whilst Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey join Oxlade-Chamberlain in the positions behind Walcott. Jack Wilshere misses out through injury for the Gunners.

    Couldnt the sub for Walcott also be Wenger wanting to keep his best players fresh for next week? The kneejerking has already started.

      Walcott won't play 90 next week even if he starts. We knew this already.

    RMT please

    Myhill - Schwarzer
    Ivan - Cedric - Jenkinson - Mings - O'Shea
    Hazard - Walcott - Mané - Aarons - Sinclair
    Rooney - Tekkers - Pelle

    3-4-3 formation with Aarons and Sinclair starting depending on gametime.
    Any thoughts?

      If you can upgrade to haz for 1.8mm I would be happy

      Yeah me too. Just hovers around providing assists, which he would have got if hazard didn't fall apart, then always on crosses.

    Stoke team news for anyone who wants it:

    Given;
    Cameron, Wollscheid, Wilson, Moseley;
    Whelan, Adam;
    Diouf, Bojan, Arnautovic;
    Crouch

    Shaw cross still has a back problem - a worrying sign that he may not start against Liverpool. Bardsley has a bad toe but I would expect Cameron to start ahead of him anyway. Pieters played yesterday, hence why he is not in the team today. Good sign that Bojan starts.

        They played yesterday. Afellay was the standout Stoke player by far. Hungry for the ball and dictated play both on the wing and at CM.

            Most likely CDM as Bojan will play CAM. Not nailed yet imo but we will know more when the season starts.

      thanks. who will be main keeper this season?

      also as a fantasy prospect who is best diouf or bojan ?

      1. The Brit.

        Diouf: Until we get a RM, its likely Diouf will be pushed out there to accommodate either Joselu or Crouch up top.
        If we get a RM then it will be between Diouf and Joselu over who starts and I'm completely 50/50 on it at the moment.

        Bojan: If fit, 100% nailed at CAM. Can provide assists and goals. Will provide updates on how he does today throughout the game but from glimpses in the other pre-season game he played, he looks a lot stronger and comfortable on the ball than the beginning of last season and I think he will pick up where he left off before he got injured.

        In my opinion, Bojan. He's cheaper and a lot more exciting. He currently sits in my team.

      We'll see, but it sure looks like it. It usually is not a good idea to remove the attacking threat and play just defenders. It allows the opponent to attack more and if they score, Arsenal will have huge difficulties to attack on extra-time with just 3 attacking players on field, and two of those more CM's than real attackers.

    My plan is to pick team for first 3 GW's.

    And GW4, WC.

    Ruddy (GW1 - CRY and GW3 - STK), Mignolet (GW2 - BOU)

    Ivan (GW1 - SWA, GW3 wba), Kosc(GW1 WHU, GW2 cry)
    Cresswell(GW2 - LEI, GW3 Bou) Cedric (GW2 - NEW), Gomez as 4.5 sub that could bring some money

    Fabregas, Mane, Cazorla (or Ramsey, or Ozil)
    Ritchie (GW1 AVL)
    Ki (GW2 NEW)
    For GW3 didn't decide yet, meaby transfer Puncheon in (AVL) or some other player.

    Rooney, Pelle
    Wilson (GW1 AVL) - than subbed for Sakho (GW2 LEI, GW3 BOU)

    1,5 ITB.
    1,0 for Wilson -> Sakho transfer, and 0.5 to spare (had Wally, but kicked him out for other Arsenal mid)

    Any suggestions?

        ofc, but I have decent bench (Ki, Cresswell, Mignolet)
        That is just a plan, made by easy fixtures.
        For example,
        Ruddy, Ivan, Kosc, Cedric, Fabrgeas, Mane, Cazorla, Ritchie, Rooney, Pelle, Wilson could work well, without any transfers.
