Buoyed by some impressive scores from the opening day, the Scoutcast crew are in optimistic mood as they tackle the key issues facing Fantasy managers ahead of Gameweek 2.

I’m joined by Andy, Az and new Scoutcast face Neale (aka Skonto Rigga) to separate the wheat from the chaff in the Fantasy Premier League’s transfer market.

We ponder whether reports of the demise of forwards have been greatly exaggerated and list the under-performing players from Gameweek 1 who may well punish their sellers.

Our rough with the smooth round-up features a tale of two benches.

While later in the show I come under attack from my colleagues, and even a moth, as we search for this season’s budget midfield gem.

We end by revealing our Captain choices when Neale unleashes one of the most surprising armband selections the Scoutcast has ever seen. It caps an impressive debut to remember for both him and the moth.

    Looks like I'm doing Hughes+Zaha -> B.Silva+Kamara-4p. To play B.Silva and bench Kamara. I will go from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 formation.

    Reasons behind is that the KDB injury came as a big surprise and changed the whole thing with Silva. Now he looks nailed, and that was my main reason I did not get him before the season.
    It hurts to lose Zaha because he has nice fixtures after LFC, but I can get him after some gameweeks. And the next 2 gmws King got better fixtures.
    B.Silva can easily get 4 more points than Zaha this gameweek, and when I'm definetly going to get him anyway I can just do it now. The price will rise, and it will be more complicated to get him afterwards. City got 6 great great fixtures really.

      Sam Spudz make the best crisps for Crisp sandwiches.
      I'm from an era where taytos were the proprietary brand name for Irish people for crisps (similar to Xerox, sellotape or tippex). I still remember my English cousins amazing me by telling me that there was no such thing as taytos in England which for me meant there were no crisps in England

              I am an Arsenal fan and was expecting him to reproduce the form he had for us on his great year. If he blanks again I'm getting rid too but having Salah already I have no player I urgently want to replace him with. I'd rather wait and see who looks best out of Eriksen and Hazard this week.

    Wouldn't be surprised at all to see Mendy benched for the Huddersfield match. Selfies in St Tropez are not going to go down well with Pep. Not defending already hasn't gone down well with Pep. Delph / Sane available. If he wants to punish him then it's a nice winnable game to do it in. Would be a typical pep manoeuvre, if there is such a thing.
