Battling through traffic, illness and technical glitches, the Scoutcast crew emerge triumphant to discuss the key issues affecting Fantasy Football managers in Gameweek 9 and beyond.

After being stuck in motorway congestion a cold-ridden Az dropped by to join David, Andy and I just in time to answer the community’s questions about why none of us own assets from Arsenal. This is particularly head-scratching given the Gunners have scored more goals than any other side over the last four Gameweeks.

We also shake our heads in disbelief at why so many Fantasy managers are ignoring Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, who is proving to be well worth his premium price tag this term.

Liverpool’s injury list and patchy form of some of their top players ahead of a fine run of games also come under scrutiny.

Elsewhere, David invents ‘the courteous brag’ as he details how he was the only member of the crew not to be entranced by Tottenham’s misfiring striker Harry Kane in Gameweek 8.

Gameweek 9 differentials and clean sheet prospects also get an airing and we finish off with Andy putting the rest of our transfer plans to shame with a typically audacious set of moves.

    Patrico (4.5 spare GK)
    Robbo,Doherty,Mendy,Alonso (zabaleta)
    Hazard,Richarlsion,Salah(C),Kenedy (maddison)

Cheers all. Yes B is the current plan. For those reasons on TAA I'm contemplating.

That said, I should have a decent enough cover at the back (all playing) and although it's not an ideal use of a future transfer, I could always swap him out for Gomez/Clyne if either become 1st choice.

Hi! This is my first season on the FFS site as a member....and my first post as well!

here's my WC team....send me your thoughts on how i can improve...thanks

    Ryan, Button
    Robertson, Mendy, Maguire, Doherty, Bennett
    Hazard, Sterling,Mane, Fraser, Masuaku
    Vardy, Mitrovic, Wilson

    1.2 Mn. ITB.

    1. Taking the Mkhitaryan
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 5 months ago

The only pick I don't like is Maguire as I think he is overpriced and the full backs are more attacking
      But it's a good WC

      1. adityafialok
        • 7 Years
        7 years, 5 months ago

This season so far, Maguire has come up with one big (10+ points) haul every 4 games, eventhough he has had a lot fewr clean sheets than some of the fullbacks.

My rationale is that with the fixtures easing out, he is a good punt as opposed to some of the more expensive fullbacks. But yeah, see your point of him being overpriced for what he delivers....

Wilson to Murray or Fraser to Richarlison/Maddison.

One of them can ride the bad fixtures coming but I think a double up on a WC is a bit risky. I currently own both but I'm only keeping Wilson on a WC.

Plan is to get Arni for Wilson after 2 GWs for 0.7 Mn more.....very nervous about both Mane and Fraser as of now....hope they both play! But yeah....if the conferences are not positive, then might look at alternatives...any suggestions?

it would indeed be for a -4. You seem very confident and assured of these moves? haha 🙂

Yes because we have the same team bar goalies and arnie (i have ings) and I just did Aguero+Sterling in for Kane+Mane for -4.
          Doublepool defence.
          Doublecity attack.

ahhh ok cool haha, yeah those are nice smart moves in my opinion, and offloads all the headache of waiting 'blank' Mane news as well. Reckon double pool defence is definitely worth it, and City are always potent in attack.
Think i'll do these moves, cheers man.

It's really annoying that I've been patient and kept Mané and salah through the tough fixtures and now they are both doubts!

Kane Mane to aguero sterling -4? Or too knee-jerky

Same, but keeping as I can't see them both missing for Cardiff and I would kick my self, so I will ride out my luck but will strengthen my bench with a cheap Newcastle defender ( Yedlin ) to hopefully cover points....

Zaha to Arnie/Mitrovic needs doing imo, and if Mane is looking unlikely I'd consider a -4 to do Mane to Hazard/Sterling. Wildcard would sort a lot of problems but not sure it's anything you cant fix with a -4 this week and a few smart transfers.

Don't think getting Kane out is the priority for this week, but could pay off. I'd focus on Mane out if injured and then fixing Zaha or Kabasele. Kane out next week if everything else settles down injury wise. Just opinion, good luck 🙂

Fraser is the template answer I guess, though Stanislas could be a little more exciting if he starts getting starts.
      Knockaert perhaps with those fixtures.
Preseason favourite Jota may realise his potential soon.
Pereyra has gone quiet recently, but quite nice fixtures 9-12.
Schürrle or Gudmundsson could be options.
Pedro now back I think, though likely to be 90-100 mins every 2 games.
Basically anyone other than Walcott and you'll be fine 😆

If there's confirmation Salah is out then Bobby could come in with 2FTs this week and WC in hand, its simple that way for me.

That said, if Mane and Salah are out, everyone misses out on the plum HUD, its not just me so nothing lost by holding other than points foregone on alternatives so may keep with even plummier CAR around the corner.

I'm weighing up something similar as I also can't afford Mane to Sterling without a hit.
The hit is putting me off though.
Can you do Kane to Aguero(c) and rely on your bench? Mane will be very useful for GW10.

Wouldn't be fun if Sterling gets rotated.

Seeing this kind of post more frequently as of today. Funny how the closer to deadline we get, the more the doubt builds up

Considering him myself, but with KDB back there are 3 spots and Sterling, Sane, Mahrez, Bernardo, Silva to fill them.
