Christmas fixture congestion dominates the final Scoutcast of 2018 as the crew look ahead to four sets of matches over two tightly packed weeks of Premier League action.

Joe, David and Az are joined by Andy to look in detail at how best to navigate inevitable rotation over Gameweeks 18 to 21 and offer their top tips for yuletide Fantasy Football survival.

Community questions the crew tackle include whether Manchester United assets can be trusted for their kind upcoming set of games following the sacking of Jose Mourinho this week.

Danny Ings’ brace against Arsenal last time out is another issue considered, especially as his form adds further weight to the case for going light up top and investing funds in midfield.

Elsewhere, Eden Hazard’s goal, assist and maximum bonus returns against Brighton in Gameweek 17 kickstart a chat on the best premium options for the end of December and early January.

As well as looking back on Gameweek 17’s events, including the community’s roughest and smoothest tales, the crew also look in detail at the next four Gameweeks. This includes their views on the best differentials and teams with the greatest chance of clean sheets over the period.

The crew  find time to reveal their Christmas transfer and captaincy plans. For Az, Joe and David this includes hoping their key striker Harry Kane recovers from a bout of man-flu to take to the field in Gameweek 18.

So in the same dilemma as most on here. Do I get rid of Kane to fund a hazard move?

Here is my two pennies worth. Kane hasn't blanked in the last 6 matches he has started in. While that doesn't necessarily mean he will do the same at the weekend, it indicates that he has some form. Everton while not defensively inept are not a brick wall either. Kane will almost certainly start and going on form is likely to score or assist at the least.

To cover and profit from the -4, Kane would need to blank and hazard would at least need more then a 6 point return.

As we are all playing a game of probability I think Kane has a good chance of getting points and I don't see Leicester as a walk over for Chelsea and therefore hazard scoring more than a goal himself.

The smart money then imho is to stick and bank the transfer to do the same transfer, but for free, in a week if Kane is still proving to not be value.

Exactly. There is good and solid reasons why we bought him in the first place.

If he scores Vs Everton no way is he leaving my team for Bournemouth.

I feel you answered your own dilemma there. Both great players to have for the weekend, and for the holidays in general, so is there any other way you could finance getting Haz in?

what other options do you have to fund a move for Hazard. The obvious one for many is to take out Salah, if you have him. It's risky, but many of us have benefited from keeping away from him this season.

I would do for my team..

Is it worth WC this lot? Will do it either before Friday or the GW after as I'm traveling before GW 20

    Fab Hamer
    Alonso Robertson Doherty Digne awb
    Sterling Rich Anderson Fraser Camarasa
    Kane Auba Chicarito

Like others I want Sané and Hazard, and will ship Auba

Would probably go with something like this:

    Fab STEELE
    JONNY Robertson Doherty Digne awb
    Sterling Rich Anderson SANÈ HAZARD
    Kane KAMARA JIMENEZ

So many unknowns in this team, might just have to roll the FT so I have 2FT's

    Pat & Fab
    TAA, Kola, Doherty, AWB, Yedlin
    Sterling, Sane, Richarlison, Anderson, Hojbjerg
    Auba, Wilson, Kane
    0.0m itb?

    TAA - injury back soon
    Yedlin - back this week
    AWB - tough opposition
Kola - might be out with Monreal back
Pat - needs to go given fixtures don't want a Wolves double up

So many players I would like to get in with fixture swings.

A: Brooks to Snodgrass, roll 1FT
    B: Salah+Eriksen to Sterling+Hazard (exact funds)
    C: Other?

    Ryan Button
    Alonso Alderweireld Keane Doherty Balbuena
    Salah Hazard Richarlison Fraser Camarasa
    Kane Mitrovic Jiménez

    1FT £0.3

Will probably save my transfer. Would love to own one City attacker for this Gameweek, but not to keen on ditching Salah. And a Richarlison upgrade would mean downgrading Kane or Alonso for a -4, doesn't seem right.

Other thing I could do is bringing some West Ham asset. Chicha for Mitrovic, Snodgrass for Fraser or Fabianski for Ryan. But not sure it'll work out this weekend because all my current assets have decent fixtures.

Patience looks like the way to go, bank 1FT and reassess next gw. Any thoughts ?

That doesn't contradict my statements. When you look at Hazard's points record he does have a knack of dissapointing when you really need him, and it hasn't started this season. You don't have to have a bad experience with a player for you to make that statement. Use your brains not everything in this game is as straight forward as you would like to think.

I bought him in GW5 and he's provided me with 107 points so far (it would have been a good lot more if I'd trusted him with the armband a few more times than I have done). I think people are looking to previous seasons when they describe him as a troll.

Finally I have a flag-free team and all my cup players either started from bench (Hazard, Kane, Sterling) or had a full rest (Sane, Alonso). Planing to save the FT. G2G?

    Fabianski
    Alonso Robertson Digne
Hazard (V) Sterling (C) Sane Richarlison Snoddy
    Kane Jimenez
    Hamer Doherty Kamara AWB
    1 FT, 0.9 ITB

2 defeats in a row, they need to get back on the horse. Would expect Emery to start his best players but you never know with him!

He'll probably start Lacazette and Aubameyang together, along with 8 defensive players - and then sub one of them out at half-time, mystified that his plan didn't work.

He’s a decent shout but other options shining brighter. Could change easily for him with a good game.

    Salah/Billing/TAA to Hazard/Sane/Peltier for a -4?

    a) Laca + Son > L'il Pea + Hazard (-4)

    b) Hold and do for free next GW.

Thanks, because of rotation risks or do you think they will score more points if they start?

A bit of both to be honest. Son is great when he starts, but is inconsistent and doesn't get as much game time as he should. Laca is at risk of not starting or being changed out at half time every game he plays, although both have the ability to nonetheless score points even with limited minutes. I just feel that Chico and Hazard have great fixtures coming up and Hazard in particular is having one of his best ever seasons and will return in the majority of games he plays.
