Christmas fixture congestion dominates the final Scoutcast of 2018 as the crew look ahead to four sets of matches over two tightly packed weeks of Premier League action.

Joe, David and Az are joined by Andy to look in detail at how best to navigate inevitable rotation over Gameweeks 18 to 21 and offer their top tips for yuletide Fantasy Football survival.

Community questions the crew tackle include whether Manchester United assets can be trusted for their kind upcoming set of games following the sacking of Jose Mourinho this week.

Danny Ings’ brace against Arsenal last time out is another issue considered, especially as his form adds further weight to the case for going light up top and investing funds in midfield.

Elsewhere, Eden Hazard’s goal, assist and maximum bonus returns against Brighton in Gameweek 17 kickstart a chat on the best premium options for the end of December and early January.

As well as looking back on Gameweek 17’s events, including the community’s roughest and smoothest tales, the crew also look in detail at the next four Gameweeks. This includes their views on the best differentials and teams with the greatest chance of clean sheets over the period.

The crew  find time to reveal their Christmas transfer and captaincy plans. For Az, Joe and David this includes hoping their key striker Harry Kane recovers from a bout of man-flu to take to the field in Gameweek 18.

A few weeks ago there was such a strong template. It was so boring. We all had aguero, Salah, Alonso, Richarlison, Mendy blah blah blah

With all these big hitters stepping up and KDB and Aguero coming back to fitness it really feels like this is the furthest away from a template we have been for ages.

Personally annoying as my OR was actually sky high and that’s when you want a template to form.

Another difference in my team is that I've had one of Lacazette/Aubameyang all season, though in hindsight I would've been better off with a 'template' choice like Jimenez or Wilson.

Almost the same - Aubameyang the first 7 weeks and then sold (for Lacazette) the week he scored a brace off the bench! If I had those two at the right time, as well as Mitrovic and Wilson I'd probably be close to no. 1 OR 😆

Pretty much settled on this WC team if I pull the trigger

    Fab
    Robbo Doc Digne
    Hazard Sterling Sane Fanderson Richrlison
    Kane Jimenez

I could have Alonso and Snodgrass for Digne & Fanderson to beef up the defence?

I like spurs fixtures over next 7-8 too much to ditch Kane right now. If i did it would prob be just for kun to keep 1 big hitter up top

        1. Theo Walcat

You could always consider covering spurs with Alli or Son. I feel Aubameyang is the only real arsenal attacker I’d trust although he might start losing minutes to laca now.

how's she looking for a -4. Defence is utter pony but oh well!

Thanks Jack. that's the exact plan.

Our teams are pretty similar. My defence and keeper is stronger but you have Hazard where I have Richarlison so I imagine our plans are similar.

I’ll be downgrading Laca in a few weeks so upgrade Hojberg! So you doing it to upgrade the defence seems good to me !

              That’s a tough one really.

I’d probably risk Doherty, he is just on such a hot streak and Wolves don’t seem the kind of team to get destroyed.

Saints have new manager syndrome and I can’t see a Hudd CS.

              Good luck !

You don’t have to get hazard. If you’re happy with your team give it another week.

A few of you will be happy to hear I have pressed the wc button :).

Defo ridding Mahrez, Laca, Dunk and Diangana... now:
    A) Robo, Luiz or VVD, Alonso
    B) Fraser this week and then leave myself enough funds to get in Rich next gw?

    1. Richd
      • 14 Years
      7 years, 6 months ago

If wildcarding do not do one with future transfers planned. It always goes wrong.

Ideally after a WC you should be able to roll the transfer the next week.

Yeah I mean do that if you want. But personally I’d just get Rich now and hope Fraser is quiet.

You’ll be setup from the WC if you exit it with 2 FT the week after.

But imagine you want to do Fraser to Rich and then some injuries happen meaning you need to do a hit

No one essential really but I think fab offers great value. Had vvd from the start and keeping him . Maybe Robertson better option but I like vvd as he is nailed. Hazard and sane. I think Richa and Anderson are great for their prices. Anderson run the show at wh so he s my favourite wh option in attack. Hope this helps.

Get Peltier and bank the cash, just make sure your other two subs are good enough to turn to.

I say this because I’d be playing doherty every week, so can’t see why you’d need to rotate him with two people.

What should I do with TAA?

    1. Keep. He seems to be mending quickly.
    2. Change to Lovren who will stay in the side as Gomez is out for a few weeks and is only 4.5.
    3. Buy Bednarek 3.9. Saves a lot of money which will be handy if Hazard is needed.

Current D: TAA, Doherty, AWB, Digne, Van Dyk.

    Thank you.

If you're comfortable playing VVD, Digne & Doherty (start TAA in case he does play) this GW then I'd save the FT and reassess next GW.

I think keep this week as defensively you can get away with it playing VVD, Doherty, Digne.

Then make your decision after the next update we receive once this gameweeeks finished as ideally he’s back before you know it.

Thank you lads. May as well hold then from what I'm reading.

Have two frees and no genuine idea what to do. May as well upgrade Gunnarson to Hojboj who seems to be in amongst the goal attempts at present looking at the last 2-4 gameweeks in the stats.
