Christmas fixture congestion dominates the final Scoutcast of 2018 as the crew look ahead to four sets of matches over two tightly packed weeks of Premier League action.

Joe, David and Az are joined by Andy to look in detail at how best to navigate inevitable rotation over Gameweeks 18 to 21 and offer their top tips for yuletide Fantasy Football survival.

Community questions the crew tackle include whether Manchester United assets can be trusted for their kind upcoming set of games following the sacking of Jose Mourinho this week.

Danny Ings’ brace against Arsenal last time out is another issue considered, especially as his form adds further weight to the case for going light up top and investing funds in midfield.

Elsewhere, Eden Hazard’s goal, assist and maximum bonus returns against Brighton in Gameweek 17 kickstart a chat on the best premium options for the end of December and early January.

As well as looking back on Gameweek 17’s events, including the community’s roughest and smoothest tales, the crew also look in detail at the next four Gameweeks. This includes their views on the best differentials and teams with the greatest chance of clean sheets over the period.

The crew  find time to reveal their Christmas transfer and captaincy plans. For Az, Joe and David this includes hoping their key striker Harry Kane recovers from a bout of man-flu to take to the field in Gameweek 18.

So... I'm on a wc. My budget is tighter then i thought.

May have to ditch Alonso and VVD to Luiz and Lovren for now?

    0.2 itb

    Fab/4.0
    Awb/Doherty/Lovren/Luiz/Digne
    Salah/Son/Felipe A/Haz/Sane
    Jimenez/Rash/Mitro

Thoughts?? Obviously decent depth I guess and mad midfield. But attack too weak?

Looking at it, Son's a transfer waiting to happen and a rotation worry.but is greedy as so it may pay off. I would prefer to have a premium up front, but 3 cheapos has worked for some so may well be good for you too.

Don't do Lovren to yourself. He's a liability, find a nailed on defender instead would be my advice, but I'm not an expert just my ramblings...

Dunno what you can say, but I'll say goodnight please please PLEASE go easy on the WC questions going forward it's starting to border on spam 😆

All good, and I get it 😉

Oh and what I will say, is do your research, although not a Member and unable to use the Comparison Tools etc. there's a wealth of information out there too!

At the end of the day, get in the players that YOU want, you may even have to make more than one WC draft, but it's you that's got to be happy with it and you're the one that has to ride with the decisions 🙂

Son will most likely not start this weekend, because he started midweek... What formation are you planning to play? It looks like 3-5-2 to me. If that's the case, you should consider downgrading either Mitrovic or Rashford to Ings or Kamarasa, and use the extra funds to beef up your defence, or to upgrade Son to De Bruyne.

Like the Rash pick, im doing Wilson > Rash next week

Would rather go Chicarito over Mitro if possible

Very good depth, maybe have Mane/Alonso/VVD over Salah/Luiz/Lovren? Just a thought, unless you're adamant u want Salah then yeah go for it

Thoughts on Hazard and Ings for Wilson and Eriksen (-4)

Worried that Eriksen and Wilson won't start.A lot of rotation in the spurs team and since Wilson played 90 min, won't he have a rest on the weekend?

Emery is unpredictable, that's for sure - more so than Pep so far. I would say that the fact Aubameyang started tonight over Lacazette shows that he's the clear no. 1 (as opposed to Lacazette overtaking him as no. 1 and being rested), as this was a game Emery clearly wanted to win.

On the other hand, Aubameyang is coming off the back of two 90 minute games in 3 days. Surely he can't make it 3 in 6 days?

Two conclusions seems to be coming through.

    1) So no point bringing in Hazard at this time if it's going to cost -4

    2) If a Premium player has to be sold out of Kane and Auba to get Hazard, it has to be Auba who is sold not Kane

in addition to being impatient, I think one of my reasons for making early moves is to justify that they were my own decicions, leading the herd as WAW put it 😉

    Alison - 4M

Luiz - Laporte - Doherty - Wan Bissaka - Bennet

    Salah - Hazard - Fanderson - Richarlison - McTominay

    Chicarito - Wilson - Auba

    2 FT; 0.5 itb
    Auba and McTominay to...

    a) Sterling + Kamara

    b) Sané + Jimenez/Kamara/Ings (if b, which forward?)

Thinking of Lingard as a punt for next few weeks. Fixtures are great & there might be a bump in Uniteds performances now

Got 2 FT's burning a hole in my pocket.

    Fab (Hamer)
    Alonso Robbo Digne (WB Bennett)
    Haz Sane Fanderson Rich (Billing)
    Kane Laca Jiminez

Wolves have decent record against top 6, otherwise jimi benched and id look to upgrade billing by selling laca.
Have decided to hold Laca after benching in cup game.
Was going to try bring KDB and Ings in for a punt but needs a hit elsewhere to work so avoiding.

    so... roll it and GTG?

Similar situation. I too have 2FT's and Laca that I am not completely sure about. (Arsenal are in general pretty poor. I am not even sure Burnley will let them score 3+.)
One thing I am considering is Laca + Camarasa > Son + Ings. Otherwise I don't know what to do.

IMO if youre taking laca out its partly because hes not nailed. dont replace him with someone else who isnt nailed.

I do think Laca is nailed for this particular GW, given Auba is pretty tired IMO. Just not sure Arsenal can deliver.
You are right there is a risk with Son. Son is safer than Alli, given their minutes in the last two. But a big risk compared with other Spurs men.
With Ings you gotta get him now rather than next GW. So it's very tricky.

One of the worst thing about Lacazzete is that even if he is guaranteed to start, there is no guarantee of him getting more than 45mins if they are not doing well which happens in pretty much every game... *facepalm*

Guess I'll just get rid and avoid until things are more clear instead of taking unnecessary headache of predicting Emery...

My prediction for lineup vs. Burnley: 9 defensive players and Lacazette up top. At half-time, Emery is baffled that his masterplan hasn't worked and makes a couple of genius substitutions (including Lacazette out) to win the game

I predict Lacazette starts and does well, angering the many managers who got rid of him that week. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake his past owners label Emery a fraud and Lacazette a troll, ignoring the fact all the signs pointed towards him starting and returning points.

There are no signs of him returning points and getting more than 45mins though 😮

Even if he gets a 15 pointer I wont really care as he will be an issue every week. A good performance would force me to keep him for next where he will probably be on bench again.

I personally think there are plenty of signs, but I take your points. I agree he's an issue going forward and can see why you'd be losing patience as an owner. I hope your transfers work out whoever you decide to bring in 🙂

    Fab
    Robbo Alonso Trippier Doherty
    Salah Sane Richarlison Fraser
    Kane Mitro

    Button, Jimenez Camarasa AWB

    A) Fraser to Anderson, and Mitro to Ings

With Son playing yesterday for 70ish minutes. I guess it will Lamela starting again.

Son out for who ? I dont want another 1 pointer from him.

    Has Sterling,Salah,Hazard, Murphy.
    0.1 away from Sane.

    a) - 8 to get Son,Murphy out for Sane and 4.7m non playing
    b) -4 for Anderson/Snodgrass
    c) Richarlision again ?
    d) Any gems to recommend... dont mind differential 🙂

He will probably start BOU and WOL now which is better than eve, so I would keep.

Anderson/Snodgrass makes sense if you want to get rid.

What to do with Eriksen? Played a full game and might be rested this weekend. Also own Kane.
