Son Heung-min (£8.7m) and Kieran Trippier (£6.0m) are among the benched players for Spurs in their Double Gameweek 34 fixture.

With already-relegated Huddersfield coming to north London, Mauricio Pochettino has taken this opportunity to start Fernando Llorente (£5.1m) and Kyle Walker-Peters (£4.2m) in their place.

Christian Eriksen (£9.3m) has held onto his place in the side and without Trippier should have a greater involvement in set pieces.

Also, with Son on the bench and Harry Kane (£12.6m) injured, it is possible the Danish international could be taking the penalties too.

Ben Davies (£5.6m) comes in for Danny Rose (£5.8m) at left-back, while Juan Foyth (£5.0m) starts alongside Jan Vertonghen (£5.9m) and Davinson Sánchez (£5.8m) so that Toby Alderweireld (£6.0m) can have a rest on the bench.

Huddersfield have lined themselves up in a 4-5-1 formation with Karlan Grant (£5.0m) leading the line. He has two goals in his last two away trips.

Chris Löwe (£4.4m) and Jon Stankovic (£3.9m) are both playing out of position in midfield.

Spurs XI: Lloris, Walker-Peters, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Foyth, Davies, Sissoko, Eriksen, Moura, Wanyama, Llorente

Huddersfield XI: Hamer; Durm, Kongolo, Schindler, Hadergjonaj; Löwe, Stankovic, Hogg, Bacuna, Kachunga; Grant.

On a curious note, those who captained Duffy, were you seriously optimistic of Brighton keeping CS for 2 games , or was his attacking potential a lure for captaincy? Lets be real

Playing two games and no Kane/Son being a doubt was the pull for me.

Have Eriksen too but wasn't keen on captaining him with a weaker team around him.

Duffy may end up on 2, but its like a free shot now with Eriksen, Son & Vardys scores.

CS potential over two games, attacking potential over two games and potential for rotation for the other options. Not clear cut but Duffy seemed like an OK choice.

Double fixture and Son benching fears was the only reasons for me.

On another curious note, did those who captained Son not read Poch's comments? Was always 50/50 to start after that.
Duffy is as a good a captaincy option as any this week. Potential for returns at both ends and 2 games

Captaining Duffy has echoes of triple captaining Andy Carroll in 2016 or captaining Alvaro Negredo in Middlesbrough's DGW in 2017 😆

No other nailed on options meant that two chances at a cs and a small chance of a goal was fine.

I actually TC but only really did that to cover many others with two at least two Brighton defence. Was planning on TC Kane this week and didn’t see many other great options going forward so thought why not. You can tell I’m not confident as I’ve also kept Wilson in my team! Worried to just see overall leader Adam Levy brought Wilson in on his WC!!

Seems like a lot of players need at least 6 months to settle in to life at a new PL club. Actually makes sense to buy in Jan if that is the case so that you can give them the six months and have them raring to go for the start of the PL

Apart from the massive premium in price for a January transfer. In the current market, that’s got to be a consideration.

    Duffy two matches to come.

I'll take a plain 8 and anything else makes him outscore them all!

So far happy I have it on Duffy!!!

He was always going to miss one of the two matches. His record this season shows he can only start one game a week. But is he actually injured and that is why he has been benched today?

Only the manager can be sure but I do feel it’s mainly fitness management.

I don’t have him tough, just Duffy and Dunk. Bit gutted there’s no Gross for the ser pieces. Maybe next match as well.

Will he come back in midweek if a guy they spent a lot of money on andwho hasn’t played all season scores today though. No need to rotate really. Murray will move on soon at 35
