FPL Lunch Club – The Final Countdown

The final Fantasy Premier League deadline of 2018/19 is at 14:00 BST today.

Our very last (retitled) Breakfast Club of the season will be beaming live on our YouTube channel from around 13:45 BST with all the build-up to the ten Premier League matches taking place this afternoon.

As soon as the FPL deadline passes we’ll be bringing you the all-important team news from around the grounds.

The matches at the Amex and Anfield will determine the destination of the Premier League title, with Manchester City needing only to match Liverpool’s result to claim the trophy for a second successive season.

David and Neale will also discuss their Gameweek 38 transfers and reveal who they are captaining today.

A post-match Scoutcast will follow this evening – very likely around 18:00 BST – to dissect the final-day action.

          Me too, I’m on Vardy Captain. The reason being that for some reason I can’t see City and Liverpool scoring that much.
          It sounds stupid maybe but I have my own reasons to believe so.

            I find both Liverpool's and City's fixture to be difficult. Can go either way. If you play against it being a goal fest and you are right, it might make a big difference on OR.

            Don't think I've ever been so uncertain about a gameweek before!

                I might remember wrong, but I think I think I captained Salah last gameweek the previous season (as most of the season really), and only worried over the transfers. That's a little bit better at least!

                  Heh yes it is. I think I had captained Kane will my rival TC’d Kane.
                  Thank god I had brought in Zaha and PVA and they both saved me and won the league by just 3 points !
                  PVA hauled by a massive 18 points!

      Yep, whatever happens now (whether he stays on the bench or comes on and scores) I'm comfortable with my decision to take a -4 elsewhere and upgrade my forward line, leaving out Hazard. When I made the moved I hoped for and expected a benching, can't control anything he does now in a sub appearance.

      Everyone has similar info now. They are not really casuals - just have access to the “secret knowledge” we all had 3-4 seasons ago and prior. Anyone who makes regular transfers and thinks through captain is not a casual. Don’t be salty if they are beating you now.

        Casual definition has changed. You are a casual if all you do is check out a few youtube vids and read the tips of a few twitter accounts on friday and make a transfer. The density of information means that casual approach gets closer results to more dedicated managers than it did in previous seasons. Hence loads of casuals in top 10k

            Normal = casual. In seasons past there wasnt enough information to be non-obsessive and get good ranks, now it is.

      The top 10k is like what top 0.25% of the 4 million odd teams that started GW 1, people might need to start lowering their expectations of what success actually is in this game.

      FPL has become harder because there are more professionals IMO.

      Only have to look at Munday. Didn't take FPL seriously before this season. Now he treats it professionally and will end up Top 10k. But you shouldn't confuse 'more time spent / experience' with being 'professional'.

      Need to find a new edge to get ahead.

    lads to respond to my earlier comment that Liv and City CS will ruin my ranking. I have only Robbo and EO of Liv defence is more than 100% and if only CS happens that will influence my ranking. Simple math. Don't have Laporte too.
