      Have bought 3 Newcastle defenders this season lascelles Clark and Willems and each single.one of them got injured the week I bought them. Definitely not getting another one 🙂

      Interesting. Was looking at Williams as a Rico replacement, primarily for GW24, but longer term Newcastle definitely have the better fixtures.

      Difficult to think of anything other than Button to Martin or McCarthy, and even that would be mostly for bench boost.

      Maddison to Richarlison is an option though. Burnley fixture for LEI seems promising, but West Ham seems to be even more of a mess currently?

    Anyone with me on this? I get why some may want a double Liverpool attacker for GW24, but for the long term surely this is not the most optimal scenario.

    The likelihood of a balanced squad with KDB, Salah and Mane is slim, and unnecessary if you realise that if you want to captain a Liverpool attacker
    it will always be Salah or Mane throughout gameweeks, not both.

    Having a double Liverpool defence for GW24 means you can keep them until the end of the season, hence prioritising other transfers instead.

      You can keep Salah/Mane for the good fixtures after the double.

      Remember Liverpool v Huddersfield last season? Mane and Salah combo were fantastic.

      Your right though regarding the balance of the squad with double defence. There’s no right or wrong way imo. Pick your path and watch it unfold.
      Anything can happen.

        Yes there is definitely no right or wrong. The way I see it is you are only going to captain one of Salah or Mane, so when you compare the value (season) between one of these with Robertson, Robertson actually statistically wins in value.

          That’s true. If both fire though your covered and not scrambling to find the funds .
          Where as Robertson/VVD/GOMEZ are at a price where a Mane/Salah downgrade in the future can get you there.

          Personally I’m torn but think I’m going TAA,Salah,Manè until a WC around wk 28 .

      I'm all in for the double attack. Happily keep them for the rest of the season too. Will be interesting to see if Liverpool start grinding out 1-0 wins to secure the league or continue to attack teams.

      It really depends on your TV. Pick what works for your team. Someone I know has been doing just fine with Mane + TAA + Gomez and she has no plan of changing that
