Joe and Seb are joined by Karam to look at the key issues facing Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of Double Gameweek 24.

With Manchester City, Everton, Burnley and Fulham playing twice in the next set of fixtures, there is plenty for our Scoutcast trio to consider as the gear up for the weekend’s deadline.

That’s just the start of their Double Gameweek planning. Leeds and Southampton have extra matches in Gameweek 25 and there’s a raft of further games to squeeze into the following set of fixtures.

It is a lot of information for FPL managers to take in, especially as this week’s FA Cup games will determine much of the upcoming schedule.

Luckily Seb has decided to Wildcard this week, which provides the Scoutcast with a perfect opportunity to frame the chat around the best assets to target.

The crew look through Seb’s options and provide the latest statistics from the FFScout Members area on each of the key teams involved.

Manchester City, Everton and Leeds players look vital to their planning, whether wildcarding or not. These players are certainly central to Joe and Karam’s thoughts on using their Bench Boost chip.

Tottenham’s extra games plus the importance of Harry Kane (£11.0m) to Jose Mourinho’s troops are also considered. Just how bad are Spurs without their talisman?

There’s Gameweek 23 to review, featuring some huge Rough with the Smooth bench scores. In addition, fixtures are frisked and Joe takes his turn to pick a differential, amid shock that his selection is not in more teams.

While Seb’s Wildcard understandably grabs the headlines, Joe and Karam take time at the end to reveal their transfer and captaincy plans.

Planning to WC25 and considering bringing in Alonso for a one-week punt this gameweek. Good idea?

The original plan is McCarthy > Pope, but Alonso just seems like more fun. Probably end up going with the former regardless but feel he could be a decent differential this week

One week punt this week I fancy: Saka, Mount, Cavani and Alonso ... so it's not a bad shout at all

I would wait for better fixtures, remember Man City will likely have a double gameweek in both GW26 and GW27 aswell

Seeing a lot of talk (especially on twitter) around Pope (c) this week.

Had everyone forgotten the Shane Duffy (TC / C) from years ago?!

Or even earlier, Mark Schwarzer(C) in a Fulham DGW where he gave up a 92nd minute goal to Hull and ended up with 3-4 points!

Burnley 3rd for goals conceded recently which includes a Southampton which shipped 9 in one match. Not the rock they have been previously defensively.
Saying that if they do keep a clean sheet he’s likely to get 10/11 points

Not the worst shout, even if Burnley concede in both games Pope should get 2 or 3 points in each game with a few saves. Basically starting off with a minimum of 5 points before he does anything else.

With that logic we should also remember TC Mane and his 3 pts and not captain mid.

What do people think about getting rid of a City defender to get Foden? EG:

Dias & Son > Burnley Defender Foden.

Gives 1 City defender and the Foden Gundogan double up in midfield.

Maybe. Need that Bench strengthened if using BB. Steer and Dunne would have to go.

    Talksport interview with Sean Dyche:

    https://youtu.be/Hc7ls5GS7kU

At 03:09, Dyche is talking about injuries:

"Last night we were missing Pope & Cork who will hopefully be alright but had to miss that game."

Then goes on to list who is still out (Taylor is included in that list of players.)

Not quite panic stations, but an FYI.

    Thoughts? 2FTs

    Martinez
    Cancelo Dias mee
    Salah Bruno Grealish soucek
    Bamford DCL Watkins

    A) soucek -> gundo (save FT)
    B) Salah & digne -> Sterling & digne (bench Mr potato head)

    Insightful commentary from BT Sport:

"Son Heung Min ended his goal drought with a goal."
