Joe, Seb and Andy help Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers prepare for Double Gameweek 27 and beyond.

Gameweek 27 sees just Burnley enjoy two fixtures. Meanwhile, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea miss out due to League Cup commitments and there are more challenges to contend with.

There are several extremely favourable match-ups for the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. But how can we fit in all their stars into our XIs?

It is a lot for FPL managers to take in.

Joe, Andy and Seb have decided to navigate this trickiest of Gameweeks by deploying their Free Hit chip. For Joe, in particular, it makes sense as his non-Wildcarded team is looking very out of date. Elsewhere, this chip is perfect for the set-up Andy and Seb have chosen for their recently Wildcarded teams.

But many managers will not be using their Free Hit this time around and our Scoutcast trio ensure they are not forgotten as they run through the best assets to pick in Gameweek 27, with an eye on further fixture chaos to come.

With limited fixtures in Gameweek 30 and doubles in the preceding two sets of matches, there is certainly no shortage of potential opportunities and pitfalls ahead.

Thanks to the graphics skills of Nym, there is a wealth of Premium Members Area tables to look over in this latest show, which took place on Tuesday 22 February ahead of the final matches of Gameweek 26.

The best midfield options, attacking defenders and teams, as well as the worst defences, are all considered. Joe’s ‘Goals Imminent’ table also gets an airing, which presents further challenges for owners of a certain Manchester United star.

They finish off with a closer look at their Gameweek 27 Free Hit team reveals, which shows how strong team value has been highly beneficial for one Scoutcaster in particular.

What are your thoughts regarding the Watkins (and Ings) situation at Villa?
I have Watkins and am not to keen on shipping him out with those nice fixtures.

Why? He is utter crap, regardless of fixtures. Just look at his returns.

It would be for a minus 4 as have other transfer planned each week, and he has DGW and BGW30 fixture (if he plays hahaha).

Villa blanked with Ings up top at the weekend, so I'm hopeful that Watkins will return start to the starting 11 this GW.

Not looking first choice at the moment but Ings didn't exactly do well in the game to become a nailed option.

Villa are crap, Gerrard is a fraud and the signing of Coutinho has weakened the team.

What's been the best game / your favourite match from this season? I think I'd have to go with Spurs v Southampton from a few weeks ago, end to end for nearly the entire match and it was never really clear which way it was going to swing. Also have to mention the first half of Chelsea and Liverpool's 2-2 draw, it was a stunning, high-speed and intensity half with some great goals

They're terrible defensively. But Woy will park the bus at Old Trafford and Watford don't score much, it's probably their best chance of getting a clean sheet for the rest of the season.

Should I use the freehit or not this GW? Similar teams but the following differences…

    A. Save FH: Lloris (lee), Digne (bha), Bowen (WOL), Raphina (TOT), King (mun)

    or

    B. Use FH: Pope (cry, LEI), Mee (cry, LEI), Foden (eve), Mahrez (eve), Kane (lee)

      Use the checklist.

      10 GTD starters?
      City mid?
      United attack?
      Spurs attack?
      Weghorst?

4/5 after FTs is save FH imo.

      1. TopBinFC
        • 4 Years
        4 years, 12 days ago

How is Weghorst essential / on a check list, he plays in attack for the worst attacking team in the league? One haul does not make him essential, DGW or not.

He's top of the captain's poll, has two games, and is 6'6 and strong in the air vs the two worst set piece defending teams in the league.

I think he should be in. And I know I'm not in the minority.

But the checklist anyway needs 4/5 imo. So if you don't have him and have the other things, all good.

Can't agree with needing a MU attacker if not on FH considering their form and upcoming opposition

(I know you didn't definitively say you need one, but if it's part of a checklist to decide what is needed in order to avoid using FH and thus what you'd have to have afterwards I wouldn't be focusing on that)

It's more if you already have them in place.

I wouldn't advise any to buy a United attacker this week.

I’ve no City and I’m fine with that. Even if the lineup’s a little easier to guess that usual, ownership and returns are so spread out that they’re unlikely to do much damage

        Hi Camzy,

The checklist is an interesting one, and does make me reconsider the FH as I will get them covered with hits. However, feels like I might not have the best players from the checklist (like additional Manu attacker, Kane, City mids).

Would you suggest FH on the below team :

        Foster
        Taa* Webster (flagged) Romero Cancelo
        Bowen Bruno Foden
        Dennis King Broja

        Ramsdale* Salah* Saka* Tomiyasu*

Can do a - 8 to get the following
        King to Weghorst
        Tomiyasu to Mee
        Salah to Son
WC next GW as don't have many players for GW 28 double and GW 30 blank.

Sorry I am missing something regarding Weghorst? I appreciate the fact Burnley have a DGW but is he really essential? I dont think anyone no matter how good they are is essential in a Burnley team.

Not essential, but if on FH, he has some form and has 2 games, with no other strikers really firing.

I'm not putting him down at all, more a case I havent seen him playing, and I didnt think it was possible for Burnley to attract an 'excellent' player. I need to watch a Burnley game I guess, cheers. But its Burnley, I cant bring myself to buy a Burnley attacker...

I've not seen anyone saying he is essential. It just seems like everyone has him this week and for a reason. He is a good pick with a dgw against opposition that should suit him.

Have you seen him play? A bit like Haaland, big, strong, fast. It seems, if his on fire, he can be essential.

The main proble of course is the team itself. Will he be treated with passes and what happens if he is isolated. It will be interesting to see how Spurs game go.

Due to his height and the 'style' in which Burnley play, he'll be the focal point of almost every attack. They'll be swinging crosses in to him at every opportunity.

They have two half-decent fixtures which Burnley have to try to win given their league position.

I'm going to captain him. Assuming a reasonable worst case scenario of two 60+ min cardless games, you're looking at 8 points. Any sort of attacking return and you're in double figures.

    De Gea
    Digne Cancelo Guehi
    Bruno Bowen (Son) (JWP)
    Watkins Edouard Dennis

Yeah, I’d have TC’d him if I’d known before the deadline that Firmino or Tarko were out. BB looked better for my team, it doesn’t now. It’s sofa time

Well most people who didn't TC probably wildcarded and own players they would not have been able to own if they didn't wildcard, like Spurs/Arsenal players who are doing well so far this week. Besides, nearly everyone captained, the gain is very minimal for those that used triple captain.

With both Jota and Firmino out, I think the odds of a rest have shortened significantly.

Perhaps he'll come off after 70 mins assuming they're comfortably ahead.
