    Two defensive choices to make:

    a) Gabriel
    b) Saliba

    1) Chilwell
    2) Stones

A1, stones is key for Cities' set up but rotation might could set in early already this season, it's not like he's needed to beat bottom half sides, he might be managed by Pep to avoid injury

A2 for Burnley changing to A1 to take advantage of Chelsea's favourable fixtures.

In Draft, I've got a City monopoly:

Stones, Dias, Gvardiol + Porro & Chilwell.

I understand Laporte and Cancelo might be on their way out but is it worth picking one up given this backline?

Udogie is also available, is he better shout than Porro now?

Udogie and Royal are likely to be the starting full backs.

yeah, i can't remember if Shaw took corners/FKs but his overall stats from last season are dented by playing CB alot, he carries big assist potential from LB no doubt

but yeah can't see a CS away vs Arsenal or Spurs

Had to get Salah in there to captain him in GW2

    Pickford
    Walker, Stones, Gabriel, Estupinan
    Salah, Saka, Mitoma, Fernandes, Martinelli
    Haaland(C)

    B: Turner, Kaboré, Mubama, McAtee

I know it's a bit risky to have such a cheap bench but at least Kaboré is nailed.

Would downgrade Martinelli to improve the bench a bit.

Don't get mubama. I recommend Osula instead for bench.
Mubama have too high ownership. Once he doesnt start his price will fall like a rock. Better to buy price "locked" fodder and gain those extra founds when wildcarding later.

The 2006 Veterans League died because the ownership got transferred to a random guy when the Internet lagged. If you were in the original one then here is the new code:

    zfiqvr

Anyone can join if you started playing FPL in 2006/07 and it's reflected in your history.

My other league is the FFS Dead Zone which is for posters who typically post around this time of night through to the early hours. Code to join this league, open to all is:

    c9xzl0

Yeah, Lewis Hall is very interesting for us (when the loan signing is hopefully confirmed) - Tyrick Mitchell is out injured and needs to recapture his form, Hall can cover at LB as well left sided midfield where we are short. Will certainly monitor, he has looked excellent when I seen him.

Given that you have Mo, probably Jackson. Unless you’re 100% convinced Liverpool will haul. Hard one - I’ve wanted Jota Gakpo or Darwin for weeks, now settled on just Mo

    Thoughts on this?

    GW1:
    Onana
    Stones Gabriel Estupiñán
    Rashford Saka Jota Mitoma Eze
    Haaland Pedro
    Turner // Watkins Chilwell Kabore

Watkins (NEW, A); Chilwell (LIV, H)

    GW2:
    Onana
    Chilwell Gabriel Estupiñán
    Rashford Saka Jota Mitoma
    Haaland Watkins Pedro
    Turner // Eze Stones Kabore

Eze (ARS, H); Stones (NEW, H)

GW3 I could move for Jackson, and -may bench Eze. Trickier decision there.

Too much on the bench, or a good plan?

    Leno (Turner)
Gabriel - Estupinian - Andersen CP - (Mings - Beyer)
Salah - Saka - Rashford - Eze - (Anderson NUFC)
    Haaland - Watkins - J. Pedro

Picked Andersen and Mings, because they exchange perfect for the first couple of GW's. But will Mings remain a starter at Villa in the prem?

I'm trying to work out my last 2 slots and if downgrading Stones to a 5m might be better by moving up to a punt on Trossard from a 6.5m in midfield.

I've already got the more obvious 5m defenders.

With Nkunku out it could mean that Chelsea will create fewer chances and therefore mean that Jackson will score less. He'll possibly get more minutes now and maybe play as a lone striker - whether that's good or not I don't know but I'll give it two games to find out. He is a good choice though imo.

Slightly more nailed but they weren't really sharing a starting XI spot anyway.

He could be a worse pick as Chuk isn't quite as good as Nkunku, although has been good in preseason.

I kinda want him from the start. LIV could be a good fixture as he makes good runs in from behind and Liverpool play a fairly high line. But it won't be easy.

The rest of my team is reasonably conservative, so I'm happy to take a risky punt on Jota for a few GWs.

No. He's a wait and see for me, as I want ot see a bit more about how our midfield and attack gels. I was set on Watkins and Nkunku initially in a 3-4-3 until the latter's injury.

I'm currently thinking of going with JPedro and a 4.5 mid with 2.0 ITB. That 2.0 could be to upgrade JPedro to Gakpo/Darwin or 4.5 mid to a 6.5 mid.

Isak or Barnes/Miggy could come in later on when Newcastle's fixtures improve.

My 10 year old son is far more bullish on Isak ripping Villa apart at the weekend!
