Southampton become the laughing stock and lose 9-0 at least once every season in the Prem including previously against Utd.

So 0-9 for me- it’s due.

It's more than just that. Having 2 Forest attackers and using WC and still having 2 Forest attackers. What's even the point of WC?

I must admit, I’m on a WC and was reluctant to sell Wood but like you say, didn’t see the point of holding on the WC with 2 away trips against 2 good teams to come.

    4. Ausman

Wow! I'm assuming the wildcard is because you want to get Haaland. As you can see from your attempt, the price means compromises elsewhere.
I would revist the forwards and go something like Haaland/Havertz/Delap to free up money for midfield and then do something like Salah/Mbuemo/Eze/Semenyo.
I'd also have A.Becker in goal and a cheaper bench (Fabianski/Mosquera/Keane/Iroegbunam)
You would have 1.0M itb. Good luck!

Foden has reached the drop threshold...apparently. I'm not sure he's gonna be playing much for a while though. Sounds like he has to play instead of Bernardo Silva at the top of the diamond. Think I'm gonna work towards getting Palmer in for gameweek 6 or so.

I think it depends on what you think Rogers will do FPL wise. Will he improve on his steady 2 pointers?

Havertz and Mbeumo might get similar scores given the fixtures. TAA has a good chance of a haul with the fixtures and so does Palmer with pens. So maybe it's Robinson vs Rogers.

Trying not to throw the baby out with the bath water by selling players that don’t need to be sold, so far I’ve binned

    Gabriel, Hall, Barco,
    Jota, Gordon, ESR, Winks
    Wood, Isak

Given the fixs in the next 2 & performances of some, do you see any as mistakes?

*I’ve sold Gabriel because I’m keeping Raya, CL is about to start so Jota was always going to be short term & moved to Salah.

        Right now it’s

        Raya
Trent / Rico Lewis / Robinson
        Salah / Saka / Eze / Semenyo
        Haaland / Pedro / Welbeck

        Fabianski / Greaves / Bednerck / Franca

        0.7 in the bank

Toying with the idea of Saka & Welbeck to Luis Diaz (or Sterling if info sounds like a start) & Havertz

If I go with Welbeck, he’d be Wissa in 2 weeks, it’s a short term fix play.

        What do you think?

          I really like it.
I also think I would make that change from Saka to Havertz
If we want Trent Salah and Haaland I think we have to give up on another 10mil mid. But GW6 and 7 are going to be hard to take without Saka.
For 6 it’s not just Wissa, I think Mbeumo has to be there too

I’ve gone Franca because it gives me just about enough funds to go Welbeck & Eze to Wissa & Mbuemo, if it wasn’t for that City fix I’d do that now.

I agree about Saka, I was big on him at the start because I was going against Salah, now I’ve gone Salah the thinking probably has to change, I have FTs in the bank though so can afford to wait it out.

I don’t believe anyone doing to Saka to Salah swap will swap back, people are making the swap because they think Salah will score points, no one sells Salah if he’s scoring points.

I think 2 4.0 million defenders on the bench means I'd want someone less risky than Lewis in defence on a wildcard. I'd be fine with him as as 4th.

I get that but I have 3FTs, if he loses his place, he’s a transfer out, that’s a gamble I’m happy to take to get the structure I want on the WC.

I may not even go with him tbf, he might not make the cut.

    Just looking at GW6 moves.
I am actually looking at going
    A. Palmer and Pedro to
    Bowen and Havertz

But I also have the cash for
    B. Salah and Pedro to
    Saka and Havertz

Really asking if going without Saka between 6 and 8 is just plain dumb?
Also adding in captaincy GW 6 would I really trust Havertz. I don’t mind the Salah away to Wolves option for C that week.
I also see Bowen as a medium term hold ,might be better that Eze?
Final point is holding Salah would mean my 7th attacker is Rodgers and 8th is Winks.

I don’t think it’s dumb but he is going to be the popular C pick in that, I also think if Sterling locks down that left wing spot (which is possible) then loads will do that swap and go with defender, Sterling & Havertz & run with Salah & Haaland set ups.

The decision to go with Bowen, Salah and Havertz would leave this team by GW7. What are your opinions of this - just leaves those weaker 7th and 8th attacker spots

      Raya

      Trent Lewis Pau

      Salah Bowen Mbeumo Rodgers

      Haaland Havertz Wissa

      Valdimarsson Robinson Greaves Winks

Why not lose Robinson to a 4 and turn Rogers into a 5.5? Pau will be good to play every week & if Rico loses his place, use an FT.

Not every good footballer makes a good fantasy asset.

It’s just a big gamble at his price because if he doesn’t return, you are stuck.

Yeah he could come good and I am not in a rush to get rid just now, yes the fixtures are a plus too not just the price. It’s about what he enables and yes it’s risky, but every season we have to punt on a cheaper 7 and 8th attacker until team value allows us to move on.

In an ideal world I would have Semenyo instead of Rogers and the Robinson downgrade might just about fund that but then I am getting into hits and leaving the bench really bare especially when Lewis is factored in.
Eze and Senenyo might just work out better than Bowen and Rodgers.
If I was doing that I would want Semenyo in for GW6 for 2 plum fixtures. That would equate to GW6 moves of
        Palmer and Pedro to
Semenyo and Havertz and lots of cash left for Eze at a later stage.

The thing about Semenyo is his numbers are so impressive, he could get a return against anyone, I’ve compared him to other mids around his price range & you just wouldn’t risk them.

He’s getting as many shots off as Haaland & Salah, he’s one you could probably carry before 6 if you’re restructuring on a WC.

^^This^^ I'm currently on WC and when I saw those Semenyo numbers it was a no brainer, plus he has played the full 90 in all 3 GWs.

I caught some of a pod during the week & they were trying to downplay his numbers because they just signed a striker & he’d be moved to the right.

He played on the right against Everton, had 5 shots on goal, 2 on target & created 1 chance, just feels like he’s arrived in that team.

Not to downplay his numbers too much because they are excellent but Tavernier is up there too in the data (actually had more big chances and has a higher XG than Semenyo) and it could just be that Bournemouth are a good attacking option generally which isn't something I thought I'd find myself saying. I think the hype around Semenyo as an individual is probably too much given this context.

The fact that they have two players with numbers like that surely means the hype is warranted?

It’s not like ESR where he got 10 points in a game after something like 2 shots in 3 easy looking fixs.

    Easy B for me.
But Isak played well from the highlights I saw. I also heard that Spurs were unlucky and yes they had chances but how many times did they get ripped open by through balls - Newcastle could have more too.

Newcastle haven't looked clinical so far this season which limits Isak's appeal over Wissa, whose record is comparable with the likes of Havertz & Jackson.

With Schar back and Tonali pushing for a start, Newcastle might look a bit better in possession. Plus Gordon should be getting back to sharpness.

I definitely like Wissa from GW5 onwards, and double up with Mbeumo.

Totally agree but at the start of the season Isak was amongst the players that I saw as nailed and would not be leaving my team. I think he will be like that for a good proportion of the season, just not now.

I didn’t see the whole game it was 20 or 30 minutes of highlights but like I said I saw it totally different to what I had heard. Let me put it like this Spurs looked as open to being shredded as utd did against pool. Very high flat line that was so easy to beat with one pass. I wouldn’t put anyone off either one or both of Wissa and Mbeumbo for that one. I got to play Mbeumo against City and just waiting for the rewards to come in the following weeks. Eze would be nice for the next 2 but I am ok with Mbeumo.

The Spurs game is made for Sterling, if there’s any hint of a start, those on a WC have to jump in, he’s not even 2% owned & Ange won’t change, he was very lively in the 4-1 for Chelsea last year.
