We are told ranks don’t matter at this stage, unless you have a good one and then you’ll shout about it on your YouTube channel.

I've calculated that Haaland will score 41 to 45 PL goals this season if fit, gws 5-6 though is the worst pair of fixtures he's gonna have the whole season so he might blank in both those gws

I think he gets 20-25 starts, 1 goal per 3 starts equals to 7 goals, he will also score 2 or 3 off the bench. Easy.

I really thought he'd hit the ground running this year. Plus maybe playing up front. I gave him Liverpool, as he has a good record there, but I've seen enough. Better form and better picks elsewhere and will avoid another 0.1 drop.

He has no bottle, won't attack defenders and has the first touch of a brick wall

Why he's continually picked is beyond me, he's appalling.

That's fair, haven't really looked into Rashford in detail this season. Just see the appeal of targeting promoted team.

0 xG in 3 GWs (small sample size) so 0 shots is concerning.

What's to look into? Utd have been on the tv 3 times now so you must have seen him being a no-mark at some point? How many games do you need to watch him fail before you realise he's finished? Amad and Garnacho probably mean he won't start from this point on anyway.

Why does a game being on TV mean I have watched all 3*90 mins games?

Folks have been calling ETH to drop Rashford but still starts him over Garnacho/Amad

It doesn't. I'm saying there have been 3 opportunities to watch Utd so far. The first game of the season, an early afternoon ko, and one of the big showcase derbies of the season; I imagine most engaged football fans have caught at least one.
Any one of which would show you that holding Rashford because, inshallah, will not get you (m)any points.

Folks have been calling for ten Haag to drop Rashford BECAUSE of his performance in the last 3 games. No matter, ETH won't be there by November anyway.

Salah, Saka & Haaland, 3FTs in the bank as a security blanket, I don’t think it’ll be needed.

The game inside the game is finding the best cheaper players this year & working through the fixs with those.

True, but I think it could pay off. I have Raya, TAA, Salah, Palmer, Haaland & Havertz as the spine of my team. Then cheap players such as Pedro, Robinson, ESR & Rogers.

I really do love the pricing this year. Look at these 4 different drafts.

Stock defense for ease of comparison:
    Raya, 4.0
    TAA, 4.5, 4.5, 4.5, 4.0

    A) Haaland only:
    Palmer Diaz Eze Mbeumo Rogers
    Haaland Havertz Pedro

    B) Double premium:
    Salah Eze Diaz Semenyo 4.5
    Haaland Havertz Pedro

    C) Triple premium:
    Salah Saka Rogers Eze Semenyo
    Haaland Pedro 4.5

    D) No Haaland:
    Salah Saka Palmer Eze Semenyo
    Isak Wissa Pedro

I like all of them. I think I lean on Pedro and Eze a lot at the moment as glue but I stand by those two being the standout options at the price points they're at. Eze can easily become Mbeumo come GW6. I've also kept at least 1 Arsenal attacker in all configurations to make it easier to double up in GW6 when the great fixtures come in.

I even kept some strong XV setups for those people that like to have a good bench even though my preference is to have a 4.5m fodder sit.

I think double premium looks best personally to me and is what I'm morphing my team into. You have both Salah + Haaland for captaincy choices and then you tap into the 8m and 7.5m tier for consistent points. But I genuinely like all the other ones and can see them doing well. Most years, you have a set template and formation and anything away from that people say it's bad but this year, if someone rocked up with any of these 4 setups I would probably say it's perfect.

The budget picks have flexibility as well if you feel there are edges gained on the popular options:

    Eze - Mbeumo, Mitoma, Madueke
    Semenyo - Rogers, Smith-Rowe, Minteh

The only player I think stands out and has little alternative is Pedro just because no other forward at that price bracket has similar potential imo. Wissa and Wood maybe but that 0.5m more matters in a lot of these drafts and I think Pedro is better than both outright since he has pens and plays for a better team. Pedro is definitely at least 0.5m underpriced. Maybe 1m.

Only Salah + Haaland count as double premium for me. Triple premium is the two plus a 10m+ asset.

If it doesn't have that then they are Salah only or Haaland only drafts imo. Salah only for instance has Saka, Palmer as well but I wouldn't call it a triple premium by any means.

    No plan to wildcard, 1FT

    Henderson (valdimarsson)
    Porro, Gvardiol, Robinson (quansah, harwood-bellis)
    Saka, Jota, Rogers, Gordon (winks)
    Haaland, Isak, Muniz

    A) Roll transfer
    B) Quansah --- Konate
    C) Quansah + Gordon --- Robertson + Eze (-4)
    D) Quansah + Gordon --- TAA + Minteh (-4)

Hard one, did Hall to Robertson before the price drop, mostly because all peeps in my minileague have TAA and I want an possible edge (+1).

I think C is a tad stronger than D, B could be an option if you'd want to upgrade Rogers to Mbeumo somewhere in the upcoming gameweek.

Honestly some of the 'Newcastle are bad' takes are so overblown in this sub. A slightly disappointing start and you think Newcastle were the worst team the league had seen. 7 points from 9 in the league and through in the cup vs PL opposition away isn't that bad. Scored in every game.

Isak hasn't been the problem with Newcastle. Playing out from the back has been poor without Schar (and Trippier) and Bruno G has been at his best. Tonali back and Gordon looking sharper for England may improve Newcastle in attack.
