The goals, assists, defensive contributions (DefCon) and bonus point summaries are from our new Match Centre.

Meanwhile, the tables of shots, chances created and expected goals (xG) are official Opta data taken from our Members Area.

Bring in Cherki or Szob? Szob more secure mins and on pens so leaning towards him.

I switched Szob to Cherki last week. I think Cherki is the more explosive but a gamble as his minutes aren't secure. Szoboszlai should start and play 90 in most games, and tick over for points.

Have you considered Rogers as an alternative?

I am considering switching Cherki to Rogers. Would give me the Chelsea front three triple up. Not sure that's as attractive following yet another Hull clean sheet.

      Cherki looked lively today

The shot that rebounded off the inside of the post involved a lovely swerve or feint

I often wonder if part of the reason this game is so addictive is because of the love/hate highs and lows.

I also hate the game today. 33 points from wildcard. 4 to play.

BB1 fail, TC3 fail (not the worst but should have been better). Chips/single GWs, anything can happen. I don't hate the game, I want to build a team strong enough to handle the unexpected

I quite like it but it is similar to the wc I selected last week, and that hasn't gone well.

I think Josh King at 5.5 could be a better option than Gross, although perhaps not for the next two weeks. Fulham have a great fixture run after that though.

White is great if playing but may lose his place to Timber soonish.

I went Egan over Ajayi because he seemed more likely to get defcons. Not sure that is the case though.

Let's see how Cole Palmer does against Arsenal before thinking about Triple Captain chips.

Cherki > Rogers also on the back burner. Might wait out and price movements and make last-minute decisions.

    1. #1 Arne Engels Fan
      • 2 Years

Palmer's potential to be explosive is largely dependent on who is playing as the RWB.

Last game vs Brighton when Neto was there he was often far more advanced than Palmer, who was dropping deeper to cover when Neto roamed forward

Neto went off and Palmer was far more involved in the final 3rd, getting his goal.

Foden to Rogers in week 4.

I agree. Bruno was in my WC team but he (and United as a team) underperforms in most away games, too much money in the bank, Gabriel is a placeholder/cash cow until next Friday.

United had 7 wins in 19 away games last season. I looked at the fixtures - how often would I captain him? No CL last season, that might also have an impact now. Risky/stupid, still don't know, I have a week to decide.

Yep saw, seems it was a back issue so they didnt risk him, lets see, but happy to keep him next week and have slater off the bench. As i dont see a defender worth moving him out for, by accounts city missed him today, so fairly certain he will play if fit.

Also want the upside of Cherki to Gakpo to have double liverpool v Fulham. So see the Cherki to Gakpo as priority

Gameweek 5 Freehit is the move i reckon. Another move to go against those that went WC3 or FH3 as they wont do FH5 as they have Newcastle already , and reduce Chelsea v Brentford, Liverpool away to Bou and cover United at Fulham.

I have a soft spot for him, was on my BB week 1. And nice on a FH versus Ipswich.

Pedro and Haaland cover most of the risk of non FH team, so the above FH i feel is low risk, compared to this week where FH went little to no Bruno, Saka, Palmer, Pedro, only 1 Arsenal defender.

Nope, dont see anywhere to use the cash or go against the template, and Haaland is captain home to Brighton, no need for United possible, and Arsenal will just sit deep and go for a 0-0

Fine to not use FH that week. Compared to FH5 where Id rather for one week not use the funds of Palmer and Saka away to Brentford and Brighton and instead get Bruno and mBuemo at Fulham + Tarkowski, Barry MGW etc versus promoted sides.

It's crazy. So many experienced players in the game. Some 15,16 + years. Yet you see them making rookie mistakes week after week. Basically why most people never stand a chance of winning. It's a crazy old game.

Over 10 million don't stand a chance of winning, its not about winning it, its about small wins, big disappointment and pain and misery for most

Hope I never win - interviews, name becoming public knowledge and all that. I really want another top 10k finish, but even more important is that we all enjoy the game, and life

Is it fair to say TC Haaland was a big failure

    People were expecting a 5-0

It was always dodgy with so many new arrivals

        That said

He could have had a hattrick too

Needless to say, last week on Bruno at home was prime!!

Could have been worse, could have been better, and least it's used and you don't need to stress about when to play it, but yeah was hoping for more

Failure, but not a big failure. I avoided Mané and Sané, but Marmoush 2024 (two starts but still only 4 points) was worse

I was expecting 12 minimum, so 9 not a failure.

Any return from your TC should never be sniffed at, many TC blanks incoming this season.

I'd have liked more but given he already got max bonus a hat-trick would have been 8 more points for the treble capiain chip (as I would have captained him anyway) which is nice but not the end of the world. Can still captain him against Ipswich as normal so might not be a huge swing. Who knows - he might have managed minutes by then

Was my original plan, but no arsenal defence is frightening and lot of dead weight I seem to be carrying in that defence and midfield. Wish I had not burnt my 2 FTs for needless and luxurious moves sighh.

Fellow NOR owner, the upside is NOR i think will claw it back soon and Gvardiol owners wont be able to make the switch

City with Gvardiol dias guehi into 2 cb positions will soon be a mess

    Hello all, current team;

    Raya (Verb)
    Maguire, VVD, Ajer, Hume, Cala
Bruno, Semenyo, Mbeumo*, Tzolis*, Le Fee*
    Isak (C), JP, DCL

3FT, All chips available. Had a decent week so far. I like my team overall, just thinking maybe time to use some subs - depending how tomorrow goes.

My early thoughts are Mbeumo, Le Fee, and Tzolis are the three im thinking of shifting out.
I want another Chelsea attacker in and I also like Gakpo. Zero interest in Haaland.

    A. Palmer and 2 with 10.7 budget.
    B. Rogers, Gakpo, someone max 5.7 (thinking Janelt)
    C. Roll again

    Any thoughts/wisdom?

    A) Gabriel
    B) Calafiori
    C) White

Calafiori has been class so far. Takes up advanced positions. I would go with him. Ben White a slight minutes risk with Timber back in training. Gabriel looks overpriced this season as although he should play most games, I don't think he will score as many goals as he did. I'd go B, although it is the template pick.

    Is this WC territory? 2FTs
    lammena Verb
    Gabriel Cala rodon davis Hume
    Mbeumo Semenyo gross Ndiaye Tzolis
    Haaland DCL JP

Don’t want to WC if I don’t need to and happy with a -4 but not -8

  24. Joeri5000

Thoughts on this No Haaland WC:
    Sels 4.0
Cala - Konsa (if he starts this GW) - Gvardiol - Thomas - Egan
    Bruno F - Palmer - Saka - MGW - Sangare
    Isak - JP - Wissa

Idea is to have all the big hitters in midfield and captain whomever has the easiest fixture that GW. Always play 3-4-3 and have defcon guys as backup in case of injury/bad fixtures.

Looks great on paper, but Haaland is just so inevitable and a permanent captain option, have looked at this myself and if Bruno keeps bringing it may well go similar route

    Help decide me this please
    Kinsky Verbruggen
    Calafiori Ajer Shaw Rodon L.Davis
    Bruno Mbeumo Szbozlai Tzolis Sangare
    Haaland DCL JP
    0 itb and 3 FT
    1. Try to fix this team with 3 FT
    2. Or better to WC now and save 3 FT
