The Fantasy Flutter – Gameweek 21

After a hectic festive period, we go head-to-head with Paddy for the first time in the calendar year. With a tenner in hand, we turn to a trio of home sides in this week’s Flutter and place our faith in Burnley and Swansea’s strikers, whilst United’s fit-again Argentine also gets the nod as the Saints roll up to Old Trafford.

Turf Moor is our first port of call as Burnley and QPR go head-to-head later today. The Clarets lost 2-0 at Loftus Road last month and will be desperate for revenge here and, having scored two at City and three at Newcastle, we’re backing their attack to get the better of ‘Arry’s boys. Paddy are offering 25/1 on Danny Ings to score two or more goals and Burnley to keep a clean sheet and with those odds, we’re prepared to make this our bet of the week and shell out £4.

Next up, we head to Old Trafford for United’s home showdown with Southampton. As they’ve shown in recent matches, the Saints will be no pushovers against Louis van Gaal’s side and we’re expecting a tightly-fought encounter on Sunday afternoon. Angel Di Maria returned to action with a goal at Yeovil last weekend and with Paddy willing to offer 8/1 on the Argentine to score and United to keep a clean sheet, we’ll hand over £3.

We cross the border to Wales for our final bet as Swansea welcome West Ham to the Liberty. With Wilfried Bony off to the African Cup of Nations and looking likely to head to City before the transfer window closes, Bafetimbi Gomis has the chance to fire his way onto Fantasy radars against Big Sam’s side. With Paddy prepared to offer 25/1 on the Frenchman to score two or more goals and Swansea to keep a clean sheet, we part company with our final £3.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up on this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    I really think about dropping Sanchez next week. I have the feeling ozil being back is not compatible with his style of play. Ozil has the tendency to slow the game down whether Sanchez needs Space

      Don't make a judgement before seeing them play. Sanchez right now is undroppable.

        His recent form (2, 10, 1, 2) and Giroud back make him very droppable for me.
        Have ditched in favour of ADM in my WC and banked on Giroud to replace his points.....

        cue Sanchez hat-trick!!

          Well, he's had a break of 7 days now. And he is coming off a goal scoring game. And you are taking out in favour of a just returning from injury guy who is playing against the best defence is England.

    Please help me pick a striker for my bench

    A) Ings
    B) Crouch
    C) Berahino
    D) Ayoze
    E) Other under 5.7

      Not C. I think Foster/Myhill and a WBA def are wildcard shooins, so unless Bera transfers away steer clear.

    Wonder why price Kramaric will be if his work permit is granted, 5.5 - 6? Think I will punt on him.

    Best defender for this week for 4.9??
    Already got Foster in goal, Hutton, Bertrand, Chambers and clichy.
    Still got my WC to use so long term fixtures aren't too important.

    Cheers

    Hi guys a little advice is requested

    I have 2ft and 0.6 in the bank and not planning on using my WC till the end of the month

    Current team

    Adrian (Myhill)
    Baines, Azpi, Hutton, (Bartley, Saylor)
    Sanchez, Haz, Yaya, Silva, (Downing)
    Benteke, Austin, Carroll

    Been bouncing around the 10K- 15K for the last few weeks and am not sure what to do, I know Yaya has to go

    A) Yaya -> Who? it can only be a two week punt
    B) Carroll -> Gro
    C) Benteke -> Gro
    D) Baines -> Debuchy
    E) Swap one and hold a FT over to next week
    F) Hold
    G) Some thing else

    It has really got to the stage where I am over thinking things lol 🙂

    So any help would be most welcome

      Hold one FT to get Kun in.

      Yaya > someone as he's not playing. A Spurs mid?

        Thanks for that,

        Was thinking Chadli. You wouldnt swap either Carroll/Benteke for Gro as well?

        Thanks,

        I am torn between Carroll and Benteke as they both are playing like pants but have the potential to score heavily on any given week

          Benteke is playing for a team with 11 goals in 20 league games. Carroll is playing in a direct team. Is Sakho away at ACON? If so Carroll will be the boss

            Nice analysis thanks, Sakho is not at ACON, but it seems he is out for a while with a back injury

    B- Taylor WHU (H)

      Do you have QPR or WHU attacking players that you are playing today? If you have one of these two then play the defender that they will not be against.

            Look at their records this season. Boyd pops up with the odd gem but he's still running at something like half the points total.
