In a season where the Fantasy heavyweights are dominating the scoring rankings, it’s becoming more important to locate budget signings that can deliver as bench options or even first choice selections when fixtures fall kindly.
While we focused on the assist returns from Defenders in a previous Numbers Game article, this time we’re going to approach the real business of Fantasy Football – pure goal power.
We interrogated the Members Opta Statistics on mission to find those Forwards and Midfielders who have provided the biggest threat to the opposition goal and who could be bought on a budget.
Our remit was simple. We wanted to find those players who could be bought for less than 6.0 in the Fantasy Premier League, who had averaged more than 1.5 attempts on goal per game and had made more than one league start. The results revealed an array of familiar names, but also brought one or two surprise selections to our attention.
