While Danny Welbeck’s winner for Sunderland attracted keen interest from Fantasy investors, another player in the mid-price bracket quietly went about his business and hovered up another 3 Fantasy Premier League Bonus Points as a result.

Morten Gamst-Pedersen failed to register a goal or assist in the 1-1 draw with West Ham but, on investigation of the OPTA stats available to our Members, we can not only see evidence of perhaps his best performance of the season, we can also detect a transformation in Blackburn’s play that could promote the Norwegian in our thinking for weeks to come…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Just in reply to the post on the prevous page about the Blackpool game being played “behind closed doors”.
Where are they playing it? Does that mean media coverage wont be allowed? Do you have a source?

well yea the referee was definatly influenced by, if the game got called off at 2-0 to ipswitch the only game they would have won for a while could have defined the season and him because called a strong referee for keeping the game on was a contridiction, he was weak thats why he didnt call it off

Except it was a terrible game of football and loads of players got injured.

Game should never have gone ahead, it was a farce.

That said at 3-0, i'm glad Atwell finished it because it would have been an injustice to Ipswich had it been abandoned at that point.

I was listening to Chapper's Premier League podcast the other day, and Graham Poll said he reffed a match a few years ago when he called it off on 21 mins because if it went past 20 mins he'd get his match fee! Then he got another fee for the re-match... cheeky sod.

I enjoyed the football actually given the conditions and the situation id far prefer that to get it out of the way than having to play 3 games in 6 days down the line. I am sure the players would also agree.

There wernt higher injuries in that game compared to the average

Evening People. I have a question and you'll be pleased to know it's not RMT, or who do I play/bench/captain/transfer.

Why is it when a game is postponed that all transfer figures for that week are not shown, given that they are neither on the week before or after, that week. I find it more difficult to work out likelyhood of price increase or decrease.

Thanks for your time, and considered replys.

    Two questions:
    1. How long do we think Krul has before Harper takes his spot back? I don't want to waste a transfer getting him out, so will probably play Foster every game up to the WC.

    2. Is Rafael's starting spot pretty safe? Even if he starts 2 out of every 3 games I think he's well worth it for his price and CS potential.

daily mirror article. Mario Balotelli: I'm best apart from messi

balotelli won the 'golden boy' award for being the 'best' under-21 player in europe - despite only scoring 5 goals this season.

"i am really happy to have won the golden boy 2010 but who else should have won it if not me?"

"there is only one player who is a little stringer than me: messi. all the others are behing me."

balotelli won the golden boy award ahead of jack wilshire but he has never heard of him.

"i don't know him but the next time i play arsenal, i will watch out for him,"
    said balotelli.

"maybe i will show him him the golden boy trophy and remind him i have won!"

    Foster
    Coleman Konchesky Kolarov
    Nasri Nani (c) Malouda N'Zogbia
    Torres Tevez Carroll
    Subs: Krul Ferguson Shawcross Jara
    4.1 in the bank

2 frees, so if all the games are played (which they probably won't), looking at doing Shawcross to Rafael, then saving the other transfer.
Would still give me enough to do a move like N'Zogbia to VDV, or Malouda to Lamps in a GW or two.
Only guy that really need to go is Krul, but I think I can make it to the WC with only Foster.

    Any thoughts?

I'm having a hard time understanding the postponing games policy in the EPL, since I live in Michigan in the USA. Obviously, the state of the pitch is a million times more important compared to American football, but it sounds like virtually every pitch was playable last week due to underground heating. And even Blackpool was tarped with heat blowers. So - does it get down to fan safety ? That seems an odd consideration, especially in a country with decent public transport. In the USA, I've been to many an American football game played in a snowstorm or near zero Fahrenheit - and in America everyone has to drive a car; there is no decent public transport - yet teams would never consider postponing. It's a curiousity to me - especially the postponement of the Chelsea/Man Utd game when the weather had cleared.

The Chelsea VS Man united Game was under the influence of italian mafia boss Ancelloti ...Game was not supposed to be postponed as it was clearly understood there was no snow since 2pm saturday when the game was sunday .. Besides who calls a game off 24hrs b4 the game ....

I grew up in Chicago and now live in Portland (similar weather to England)

When it snowed in Chicago they would send 500 snow plows out on the streets, lay salt and de-icer for days...

Here, since it rarely snows, they have none of that, and the city is totally paralyzed until the ice sheet melts.

I imagine it's the same in England. Since it rarely snows they do not have the resources to keep the surrounding streets safe.

I think it does, it's a good chance to actually win something. It's where Spains success started. United players might also be involved in the Euros that summer. Anyway it's really for under 23's, so players like Welbeck, Evans, Morrison could be involved.

FIFA have told them that will not be the case, not that you can believe anything they say.
They've said that if their players take part then they wont be considered for the Wales team again. I's like to see Bale calling their bluff on that one.
The thing is, there is a Welsh rugby team and a British Lions, so it's not like their isn't a precedence for this in sport.
I'd like to hear some Welsh perspective on this one. MarknLard?

      I agree.

What's the big deal, it would be great fun for every Premier league fan to watch a team like that - and to be honest it's just the bloody Olympics. It's not like it's the World Cup where I would completely understand that Wales wanted to give it their best shot themselves.

I actually think there would be a fair chance that it would improve the interest in the Welsh national side if the GB team did well and Bale and his friends had good tournaments.
