Manchester United’s 0-0 stalemate at White Hart Lane on Sunday may well have been two points gained given the controversial dismissal of Rafael, but the performance did little to dispel claims that Alex Ferguson’s side are struggling to wriggle into top gear.

Defensively Ferguson can rightly claim the draw with a vibrant Tottenham side as a triumph, but in attacking terms, United were bitterly disappointing.

With Fantasy Managers weighing up further investment in the United squad with Gameweek 24’s double fixture drawing closer, we use this latest Members article to take a closer look at the statistics from Sunday’s game and United’s performances over recent Gameweeks, to assess whether such a strategy really should be a priority and where our cash should be spent.

    Have you ever wished you could take back a transfer and revisit the decision? Everytime I hit Confirm there's always a moment of doubt that I've just made a huge mistake.

    Last night I decided to take a 4 point hit to swap Maxi for Dempsey. I know it was the right move for many reasons, least of all Maxi only got 1 point last double GW because Kenny doesn't have him as a solid starter.

    But I just found out I fell asleep before I'd hit Confirm so the transfer is still not done. The only reason not to do it is it means I'll be benching Nasri (playing VDV).

        I missed your question earlier but I wasn't asleep 😉 I was saying since West Ham or Birmingham will have a GW 28 game postponed then their opponents Chelsea or Liverpool are guaranteed to have another DGW in the future, at an unspecified time.

        If Arsenal are in the final too then they and GW 28 opponents Spurs will probably share the future DGW too.

    Kingson or Begovic? Kingson DGW and is expected to make a lot of saves but how many is he gonna concede, 6 goals n -3? that would mean 9 saves would get him 4 points.

    Begovic, on the other hand is playing as part of a recently solid unit at Stoke, he's away but at Fulham who like to keep it tight themselves. 0-0 a likely result?

    Benching Nasri over Adam is giving me the jitters too, but I've got Fab n RVP as cover there

      Drog,Tevez.

      Subs: Krul,Carroll,Jara,D.Collins.(1 free transfer,3.7 in bank)

      A) Drog->Berba and Collins->Vidic for -4 worth it?What's the news on Collins?Will he back for Fulham away or has Higginbotham snatched his place now?Or should I do Jara->Vidic instead?

      B) Will Carroll start,in which case is it too risky to leave him on the bench this week?

      C) Any other transfer suggestions?Krul->Stockdale maybe,instead of the Vidic move?Or maybe Collins->Hangeland instead of Vidic,which will allow me to get Fabs in for N'Zog next week?

      Thoughts please.Cheers.

                A)- strange asmight sound but poss keep Drogs against a weakened Bolton defence(Cahill away/in talks?) and might be on pens(lampard injuried?)
                B)- Carroll out for 1-3 weeks according to reports
                C)- Collins>Hangeland for Fabs next week

                      Absolutely. Think the doubles are clouding some people's vision this week. United's fair enough. Liverpool's is tasty but when you consider how poor they've been - unappealing.

                        Yeah I've personally got vds, gj, nani, adam, berb, torres that have a double gw and I'm more than happy with that. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see tevez, vdv and some arsenal attackers outscore the double gw'ers this week. As for defender when one of the fixtures is a very hard away game with next to no chance of cs then the double fixture could just lead to minus points for goals conceded.

                Anyone else having a ridiculously hard time trying to decide between Rooney/Berb ?

                  Yeah, i'd bench Dempsey or Berbatov probably (already aware that won't be a popular option).

                      You're going to have this issue pretty much every week. Choose your least favourite and downgrade to a cheap 90 minuter and use that money in your defence.

                      I wouldn't bring either of those in.

                      Fulham are useless and Berbs is way too inconsistent for me, i doubt he'll play both games either.

                      Get someone in that is a better long term prospect and bench them this week imo. Maybe Brunt or Odimwingie?

                Is Kelly playing for LPool and is Agger back from his illness?

                So LPool defence will be Kelly/Skrtel/Agger/Johnson?

                And is A.Young back in game and worth have him over Downing, since iam playing wc?

                  Planning on having 2 LPool defs. Johnson and Skrtel, but... Johnson its way to expencive and Skrtel is on 4 yellows, so getting a yellow in 1st game will mean no dgw for him...

                  So planning on getting Agger and Kelly. Thoughts?

                    I don't think you need 2 pool defenders.

                    I bought GJohnson a few weeks ago and it's been one of the worst transfers i've made this season. Won't go near their defence again once i manage to get him out.

                    Presumably you also have a united defender (if not get one). Also play Coleman.
