Would I be right in thinking that Djourou is going to lose his regular place now that Squillaci is back from injury?

In fairness Djourou has had some very impressive performances but I don't know whether Wenger will stick with him.

    What's everyones thoughts?

Djourou was starting ahead of Squillaci even before the frenchman was injured if I recall correctly.

Djourou's problem will be when Vermaelen comes back or if Arsenal sign a new centre back.

I am leaning towards Djourou holding his regular place...Wenger is more than likely done in this transfer window. For him it is nice that Djourou is stepping up because he doesn't have to spend on a new defender. I think he is very pleased with Djourou and wants to continue to give the guy the chance to develop.

    kelly, evra, coleman/djourou, (murphy)
    fabs, vdv, adam, nani, (yaya)
    tevez, rvp, berbs

is this team good enough to save a transfer for this GW? and is my bench selection correct? having a lil problem in benching player this week :/

We should score at home, it's 50/50 really who you go for, I doubt none will keep clean sheets. I'd fancy Foster to save from Tevez if City got a penalty though!

If they kick them at him, that'll be OK (unless he has another C.Cole moment..). It's kicking them past him that I'm worried about.

I see P-Wingie getting a brace against Wigan...besides as someone said earlier neither are going to keep a clean sheet. That being said I would pick Foster as Citeh have the more competent players that can put saveable balls on frame. I see everyone other than Brunt and P-Wingie skying balls into the crowd (yes Tchoyi, Jara and Morrison...I'm talking about yall!!).

If you play Djourou, you have my starting 11 this week with Evra instead of Vidic.

Goalie is a toughie this week. But I'm willing to risk Al-Habsi considering Brum's fatigue and poor defensive form.

Rooney's short-term fixtures are too good to ignore - If he goes it has to be for Berbatov, but this will come along with the obvious "missed the boat" feeling.

Been a while since I did one of these posts so here goes....

    Foster Jaask
    Vidic Kelly Kolarov (Kelly, Salcido)
    Nani VDV Nasri Adam (Cleverley)
    Torres Bent Rooney

0.6 in the bank. RVP? Is he essential for the next two gameweeks? I don't think he is personally. So was thinking perhaps Vidic -> 6.0m defender and Cleverley -> Walcott, yes, he is a rotation risk but we will know this week at least... Any Other suggestions? Help greatly, greatly aprreciated.

I'm sure it won't, I think both of us will be in the Prem next season. Would love it it all three of us that came up survived..

Going through a quite large blip but Di Matteo is thinking of making changes at the back which should make us a more solid, Nicky Shorey should be one of the first names on the team sheet for me!

Yeah can't really see why he hasn't been a regular, decent player him.
Sorry MMW but I'm hoping of the likely candidates West Ham, Wigan and Wolves drop

I think Wigan, Wolves and either West Ham & Blackpool. Wolves just haven't signed anyone, they need about 3 defenders! I'm still a little surprised West Ham are bottom but bottom of Xmas and all that, we still want to keep our record thanks. 😉

                  Wash your mouth out Dorrans.
Wolves will be just fine thankyou.

West Ham Wigan and one of either Brum or Baggies 😉

I'm going for Van Persie myself. He will always get plenty of chances to score big.

Arsenal - EVE, new, WOL+STK, none
Liverpool - STK, che, WIG, whm
Man City - bir, WBA, mun, FUL
Man Utd - AST, wol, MCY, wig+che

I have RVP, Torres, and Berbatov. When to bring in Tevez and for who?!! If at all given Citeh not having a DGW.

One other option is to bring in Yaya as an alternative source of attacking points (it worked a couple of GWs ago).

Man Utd have been conceding and Villa should be more confident now than they have at any point this season. I've got Young benched at the minute but don't like it one bit.

I've got Young, Coleman and R Johnson benched and not happy... Got a feeling one of them is gonna get some points.....

    Foster
    Hangeland, Djourou, Kelly
Nani, Adam, Dempsey, Van der Vaart
    Berbatov, Torres, Van Persie

Bench: Stockdale, Bardsley, Coleman, Yaya Toure

    Bank: 0.4

Looking good for this week? Pretty worried about Birmingham vs Man City, so thinking maybe I'd be better off sticking with Stockdale this week.

Have one transfer free. Appreciate any thoughts. Was thinking of bringing in Meireles for Dempsey - or perhaps Walcott since I have no Arsenal mid-field coverage.
