A new version of the Next Six Season Ticker is now live in your frontpage sidebar. In addition to updating the home and away rankings for all teams, there are a host of bug fixes available to all and an array of exciting new features available to our Members.

In a nutshell, the Season Ticker is now fully customisable – Members can not only edit all the team home and away ranking scores to change the fixture difficulties, then can also create new filters to apply to the ticker and, with new import and export tools, they can share them with other Members.

We’ve supplied two new filters, giving Members the ability to view the likelihood of attacking returns and clean sheets within a gameweek or over a group of gameweeks for each team.

We’ve also made the full ticker view, previously only accessible in the Members Area, this is now available with a click of the button from the Next Six Ticker. Using this you can apply the new filters and sort teams over a big range of gameweeks.

Huge credit goes to Pure Olivia for his superb work on the Ticker, making it one of the best Fantasy Football analysis tools around.

Bug Fixes – For All

Non-Members have their column sorting feature back
Double gameweeks are now correctly assessed in sorting
Blank gameweeks are now correctly assessed in sorting

New Features – For Members

Maximise View

Click the arrow button in top left of the sidebar ticker and the ticker will expand to show the full season ticker enabling you to view far more gameweeks than just the default six.

New Team Ranking Filters
Members can now view a ticker which displays the difficulty of forthcoming opponents based on three default filters with the ability to create and add your own. Filters are accessed via the dropdown list under the gameweek selector slider. Scout (Overall) is the default filter.

Scout (Overall)
This is the vanilla overall fixture difficulty view that you’re used to but with updated rankings for all teams of course. Teams are rated based on their overall form home and away over the past 5 games.

Scout (Attacking)
This filter assesses the difficulty of forthcoming fixtures in terms of attacking returns. Teams are rated based on their likelihood to concede goals based on statistics over the past 5 games home and away, together with their overall form.

This means that for each gameweek or set of gameweeks you can easily view those teams that are most likely to score attacking points based on the rankings of opponents. Don’t forget you can use the gameweek column filter to sort teams in that gameweek or the Sort by Difficulty button to sort by gameweeks currently in view.

Scout (Clean Sheets)
This filter assesses the difficulty of forthcoming fixtures in terms of clean sheets. Teams are rated based on their likelihood to score goals based on statistics over the past 5 games home and way, together with their overall form.

This means that for each gameweek or set of gameweeks you can easily view those teams that are most likely to earn clean sheets based on the rankings of opponents.

Create New Team Ranking Filters

If you don’t agree with our current rankings for teams, you can add your own. All the default filters can be edited and, as soon as you begin tweaking, it creates a brand new “You Are The Scout†filter in the dropdown list. This means that you can create your own set of filters from the team rankings that you decide. Effectively then, you can design and create your own team rating filters for full customization of your ticker.

Import and Export Rankings

Not only can your create your own set of filters, you can import and export them to share them with others. With any of your filters selected in the dropdown just select Export Rankings and you will see your set of rankings which can be copied into another users Import Rankings panel.

To Import Rankings simply click on the Import Rankings button, copy the rankings into the available box and then add a Name before clicking Import. This will add a new filter to your Ticker dropdown list.

Filters can be named and deleted using the buttons provided.

If you have any issues with the new Season Ticker – please contact us at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Getting aggressive with an 8 point his this week - someone please talk me out of it with reason...

    New team would be:

    Foster
    Baines, Luiz, Kolarov
Fabregas, Nani, VDV, Nasri, A Young
    RVP(c), Zigic
    Subs: Coleman, Welbeck, Kelly, Stockdale

Transfers in question are Djourou, Arteta & Berba -> Luiz, Fabregas & Welbeck

I heard Chica was likely to start at the w/e. I agree, 8 points is a lot to make back, but i think the possibility of not being able to field 11 without a hit this week, and also getting 2 extra doublers in with good fixtures could be worth it long term.

I plan to get Lamps in for GW33 by doing:

        GW32: Kolarov -> Kelly
        GW33: Baines & A Young -> Carr & Lampard

would give me a pretty sick midfield of:

        Fabs, Lampard, Nani, VDV, Nasri

    Foster

Any gamblers out there wanna hear out my idea...

For season bets like top goalscorer, champions, relegation, top 4 etc...

On betfair, as anyone experimented with backing a team before a good run of fixtures, with the hope of laying the same bet for a profit if that team (as is likely) does well in that period.

Seems that the odds generally reflect the odds based on a whole season but the fluctuations of these odds might be predictable enough to gain an edge.

This season if you'd backed chelsea before their opening 6 games, which were so easy, you'd have laid them at just the right time

Any obvious downsides to this strategy? If not I'm gonna assign myself a budget and bankroll strategy for next season and give it a go!

    Cheers!

Sounds logical to me, but I'm not really a betting man so I can't offer any expert advice.

One obvious downside, as with gambling in general, is that you can't guarantee results. If Chelsea had lost a few of those opening games for example, you might not have been able to lay them at as good odds as you were expecting.

Go for it... the position Carroll plays in, and the attacking style of Liverpool under dalglish means he's bound to get a fair few goals and assists even if he plays badly.

In my opinion Carroll's a massive bargain right now, even when he's not at his best

Personally I think you should make the best decision. A differential either gives you an advantage, or him.

So if you think van persie is the best captain, not captaining him is a bad differential. It might become 40 points and then who will you need to captain ?!

Just keep making your best decisions and hope he doesn't. 29 points isn't much.

So who reckons Mancini will go with Tevez up top and Silva behind him? I think that would be the only way for him to guarantee a victory. It's pretty clear by now that Balotelli and Dzeko aren't suited to play with Tevez and there's the fact that Tevez up on his own is more productive than Dzeko or Balotelli. I just wonder if Mancini realises this and moves to his favoured 451 from earlier in the season.
