@ TW, Remy will not join Newcastle or anyone else for free in the summer. The buy out clause is quoted @ 8mil. Arsenal reported to be looking at him. After Newcastles form this season no sure he would want to go there.

You can't in open play, I agree. But winning a penalty and taking it are two separate actions, the player gets no reward for having won it in my opinion.

I agree, an 'assist' is really a setup in open play rather than winning a pen. Takes skill to win one and then skill again to get up and finish it, two actions deserving reward.
