is ivanovic essential?
Open Controls-
ill def consider him. would be straight in if i had the transfer
Open Controls-
would you use an ft to do Terry out for Iva?
Open Controls

-
He has look really threatening....more than Hazard if I dare say
*prepare for bullets*Open Controls-
lol...wow. i saw him turn 2defs in opposition box and assist. unbeatable in the air it seems.

Got some tricky UFPL decisions to make. Played 3-5-2 today and other than Baines (0) and Davis (1) everyone scored at least 6. Obviously I'll take those two out but given that one of my subs must be a defender for Baines (Chester or Rose) that leaves Rooney, Adebayor and Mata available tomorrow (and Jovetic on Sunday).
So, which defender and attacker should come in for the crappers and are any of the others worth gambling a 6 pointer on?
If anyone can be arsed to give some advice I'd be grateful 🙂Open Controls-
Chester in for Baines, Rooney for Davis (can you do that a mid for a fwd?)
Open Controls-
You certainly can as long as it results in a valid FPL formation. Cheers for the input 🙂
Open Controls

-
6 is only just a reasonable score. It's as good as scoring a 4 in FPL. I'd do the maximum number of transfers if I were you
Open Controls-
Including both defenders?

Pick one to field next week, Hutton, Clyne, Bojan
Open Controls -
from bottom of last page
Doos's defense is killing it this week! too bad he took out fonte for clyne though

I think Jovetic owners should all keep him for now and take the 0.1m drop. After all 0.1m is no big deal. Reasons-
1. He may score well, keep his place and go up in value.
2. One of your other players playing on Sunday/Monday may get injured/suspended and make the decision easier for you.
3. You get to see how the likes of Remy and Adebayor do. They may well be huge bandwagons after tomorrow's games and you may regret making your transfers early.Open Controls-
says pundit of puns ^^
Open Controls-
*Punts. 😉
Open Controls

Even if he does well he's still likely to be 3rd choice.
Open Controls-
Pellegrini never benches in form strikers.
Open Controls
-
-
Yes, you're right. It's only 0.1 after all, he could drop 5 times that and it's still only the difference between Ferdinand and Caulker. Keeping my FT.
Open Controls-
Me too. Too many things unclear atm.

So I just put fantasy football as a hobby on my resume: 😯
"Finished first out of 1.3million people worldwide in FIFA’s Official 2014 World Cup Fantasy Game"
any way to phrase that better? (college student applying for administrative desk job fwiw)Open Controls-
-
for now yeah, don't have much job experience to fill the page because I just recently got a work permit here
Open Controls
-
-
Did you get the car?
Open Controls -
maybe describe what fantasy is. Like its a game where you need tactics, analyzing, see the whole picture, desicion making...
1st in a competition sounds good, but if they dont know what fantasy is, they presume its all luck or a kids game or something...Open Controls -
First in the official 2014 World Cup Fantasy game, run and administered by FIFA, which attracted 1.3 million players worldwide.
Open Controls-
I think the fact you state 'Official 2014 World Cup Fantasy Game' makes it seems more niche (by the sub categories if you get me, I.e 2014, World Cup, etc)
Open Controls
-
Winning a game doesn't qualify you for a job. Stating that you've got analytical skills and are of a competitive nature is better phrasing. If they ask you to give examples you can mention the win.
Open Controls -
This is a joke right?
Open Controls -
I wouldn't mention it - and I recruit people regularly

I need to make some UFPL decisions before tomorrow.
I have three players on 0, 3, and 4 that I need to replace with 3 of Vertonghen, Lamela, Mata, and Rooney.
I'm thinking I should leave out Mata.
The other option would be to play all four, and sub out Siggy or Giroud on 6 points.
What do people think?Open Controls -
Green, Bego
Clyne, Ivan, Davies, Bartley, Duff
Ramsey, Sterling, Siggy, Tadic, Young
Rooney, Bojan, Costa
1 FT 2.5 itb
I guess it's too late to get Hutton as Villa's fixtures are worsening, and Bartley may just sit on my bench. Stoke and Bojan has got City away. Who is his best replacement?Open Controls-
Naismith is the weapon of choice on here.
Open Controls
-
-
Now considering Debuchy and Sturridge out for Collocini and Aguero for a -4.
A) Go for it
B) Step away from the computer and call it a night….Open Controls-
wait til tomorrow morning...
Open Controls
-
-
even when Downing scores he never gets transfers in 😆
Open Controls-
Form over fixtures.. Unless it's Downing 🙂
Open Controls
-
-
Any idea on how long Giroud is likely to be out for?
Open Controls -
Forgot how many kneejerks there are on matchdays.
Jovetic to get a goal, assist and 3 bps vs Liverpool on Monday?
And then Arsenal, Spurs, Hull, Stoke, QPR, Sunderland and Villa, all playing midweek, plenty of chance for someone else to get injured and mean that you've got someone else you need to shift more urgently than whoever you think now...Open Controls -
Dont see point of FT.
Suddenly, doing Austin to Naismith and bench him. 😀Open Controls -
Hutton rising to 4.1, surely I need to get him in for Bartley this week?? Only 4.0 defender that is guarenteed to play and won't be available for the price again
Open Controls -
King and Bony to Ramsey and Naismith is worth a -4pt hit?
Open Controls -
In the nicest way possible...I really hope Alex Bruce has not recovered from his injury tomorrow 😛
Open Controls-
there's nothing nice about that
Open Controls -
🙂 same here , hutton again on my bench for bruce who although they got a clean sheet he only played 45mins
I hope the unluckly-ness of last week pays off nowOpen Controls-
serves u right for nor playing hutton, villa have an excellent def this season
headed by one of the best in the worldOpen Controls
-
-
-
is giroud injured? any news on if it is a lengthy one?
Open Controls -
Young to fab then Sanchez to silva or sterling??? What's best option??
Open Controls -
Do I get Clyne in for Wilson now, or wait, and get Bertrand?
Open Controls-
Wilson has got terrific fixtures as well. i would wait.
Open Controls
-
-
Any 4m defender worth transferring in?
Open Controls-
Dummett is the best option imo.
Open Controls -
i got hutton last week but would hold off now as he plays all of last seasons top 5 in succession very soon.
wisdom seems a decent pick after today's performance
dummett i think will drop out eventually but i think he has the best fixtures of the lotOpen Controls -
-
-
Price rises seem to be going very slowly this season. Only Siggy has had more than a 0.1 rise. And he's got more than 400,000 transfers in at only 0.2 rise.
Open Controls -
43p and three left to play. Average? Below average? Pissed that I decided to bench Wisdom in the last minute.
Open Controls-
Average is 28 from around 6
Open Controls

Just a reminder for anyone interested, but talkSPORT do an FPL segment at roughly 1145 Saturday nights & has Mark contributing to said segment
Open Controls-

Yes... He's known as The Scout...
It started last week....Open Controls

Evening all, hope everyone's satisfied with their returns today.
Have two free transfers for the upcoming gameweek, so should I hop on board the rising Hutton or Clyne trains?
Current defence:
De Gea - Gilks
Terry - Chester - van Aanholt - Caulker - DuffOpen Controls-
Stupid to go with Hutton. Have you seen Villas fixtures starting GW 4?
Open Controls -
Not with Villa's upcoming fixtures
Open Controls
-
-
Hoping for 10+ from Eriksen tomorrow. He is siiiiick
Open Controls-
-
That is brave. He didn't do much against West Ham.
Open Controls

Worst case scenario with Giroud.
"Following surgery you will be in plaster for six weeks. After this you need to wear an ankle brace for a further 6 weeks. Physiotherapy treatment is usually required. After 3 months you will work with your physiotherapist to regain the strength, and mobility of your ankle. You can start light exercise at 3 months, but sport involving twisting (such as football, rugby, running on rough ground and squash) are not allowed until 6 months after the surgery."
If there is ligament damage.Open Controls-
But with expert medical attention. Give it two weeks and he will be playing again.
A mate at work had the same injury as Theo Walcott. Walcott recovered and was back in the first XI after 2 months. My mate is still basically crippled after over two years.Open Controls

thoughts on di Maria as an FPL pick, lads?

can someone link me the price changes site please

Begovic (Myhill)
Debuchy Terry Caulker (Bruce Wisdom)
Ramsey Mata Sterling Young (El Ahmadi)
Rooney Costa Giroud
0 in the bank and 2 FTs.
Good idea to go
Giroud > Bojan/Naismith
El Ahmadi > Siggy
And then next week switch Young to a stronger midfielder and switch to 3-5-2?Open Controls
