We turn our attentions to the player Key Performance Indicator (KPI) statistics once again in our latest members’ article. Having assessed the form of Forwards over the last four Gameweeks compared to the first seven rounds of fixtures late last week, we now turn our attentions to the men in midfield.

For the unfamiliar, these Key Performers Indicator (KPI) tables use a series of key stats to allow our members to track a trend in player performance as a guide to their form. By tracking the frequency of certain key statistics, such as minutes per chance, and comparing them over two separate periods of time, we can ascertain patterns of improvement or decline in these areas. For those unfamiliar, we’ve rolled out a preview movie which shows just how to get the best out of the KPI tables.

Geoff Cameron. Talk to me. I fear I'm going to be told he's not nailed. Started the last three though.

He didn't start the last game. He was subbed on early because of Bardsley injury.

In all fairness he will get his fair share of minutes, but at 4.2m or not look at stoke fixtures.....I'd stay well clear.

Yeah. My transfer this week is going to be sorting out my bench a bit. Bringing in Cameron would just make things worse I feel. I only wanted him in case baines doesn't start.

            Dummett it is.

Dummet looks a better bet.....either him or the ultra cheap Yun. I'd fancy Newcastle CSs over QPR though.

I think its worse to be told that he didn't even start the last game...

But in any case, how is he almost certain to play? Bardsley only a doubt apparently.

Cheers. Do you think Haz is a better pick than Fab?

Fabs will drop this week, surely can't sustain his assists (has a record of dropping off) is a yc from suspension and with Hazards stats improving and having some flat track bully fixtures upcoming, plus Haz hasn't hit top form and is right behind Cesc in terms of FPL points.

          I'm getting jerky knees...

Green imp rabid the percentage the player has improved in that area, red means the percentage they have decreased. The - signs aren't minus signs, they're dashes.

I'd bet it's just a function of calculating a change score by subtracting earlier weeks from later weeks, and then turning that into a percent. So, if the player is improving, it's a smaller score minus a larger score (11 shots - 15 shots = -4 shots, which represents and increase in the latter set of weeks).

      That's my guess.

It seems like it. I got told off by one of the moderators this morning, for asking for advice on a Fantasy Football Bulletin Board.

Freedom of speech is no longer an option in this society.

Ginks is right. What makes you think you have freedom of speech here? There are many things you are not allowed to discuss such as the state of Affairs in Gaza or Granvilles receding hairline.

I think that looks great. I wouldn't shift anyone out this week. Only one missing is Aguero, perhaps consider downgrading Fabregas at some point and upgrading Pelle.

Then your team is looking extremely positive.

See below, try that, if that works for Fabregas.

You don't need Fabregas and Hazard, although it may pay-off this week.

It's a great team by the way, I'm somewhat envious.

Yes, consider Fabregas --> Sigurdsson or Chadli with Pelle --> Aguero after this week if possible.

Your team is fine for this weak, but not having Aguero may hurt.

Villa have good fixtures and Baines more than makes up the points. I think the others are all starters and fine. Arsenal will get the odd clean sheet here and there. Moore is weak but bigger irons in the fire. Wisdom is great value whatever.

        Hi All

I am using my wild card this week and would like any advice on what I have at the moment

        Krul, Foster
        Bertrand, Cahill, Chambers, Drummett, Wisdon
        Sigurdsson, Fagregas, Tadic, Downing, Dorrans
        Diego Costs, Pelle, Aguero

        1. Owd Big 'Ed
          • 16 Years
          11 years, 3 months ago

Goalkeepers: Good, but consider Foster --> 4.0 if happy with Krul week-in, week-out.
Defenders: Needs Baines I feel, wouldn't have Bertrand either personally. Go Baines, Azpilicueta and then three cheapies.
Midfielders: Needs one of Sanchez or Hazard, if not both, along with one of Fabregas (if not Hazard) or Di Maria. Downing and Sigurdsson fine. Consider Dorrans --> Boyd?
Forwards: Look great but you'll want shot of Pelle after this week, consider Sakho or Austin then upgrade midfielder to one of the above.

Popular moves on WC seem to be :

          Pelle -> Austin/Sakho
          Fab + Tadic -> Sanchez/Hazard/Chadli
          Bertrand -> Baines

Isn't he suspended for the next two? He's a good striker and looked good in the Spurs game, mind you, Jon Walters scored against their inept defence.

He's on the short-list but far from the top of it.

I might take a reckless punt on bringing him in after his suspension is up. Fixtures are nice and he looked great in that red card game and also looked really threatening for Belgium off the bench the other day. Not many ways to get an explosive differential and besides getting in Walcott at the right time this is the other option I am looking at personally.

Yeah he could be a nice switch from Pelle if you are patient enough to hold Pelle for his home City fixture. It's what I'm eyeing, anyway. Of course I will have a completely different plan this time next week 🙂

Bony is really tempting me but the funds that Sakho will generate will be vital in the coming weeks.

I don't have a very top rank but I've begrudgingly held as there have been other things I've been wanting to do. His time is coming to an end though. Thankfully. He's returned pretty decently over the last four anyway.

Not playing my wildcard, but if I was, this is what I'd roughly do. I haven't looked at prices either, so it may be slightly over-budget:

        1. Get Aguero, Costa, Sanchez and Baines in. Work remaining players around these.
        2. Consider budget option to partner Aguero & Costa. Viable options? Either Austin or Sakho.
        3. Toss a coin. Heads for Sakho, tails for Austin.
        4. It was tails...
        5. Chadli? Sigurdsson? You're in.
        6. Boyd, get your coat. You've pulled.
        7. Final midfield slot - look at Hazard, Di Maria or maybe get the Sterling out for Sterling.
        8. Now for the remaining defenders, I'll go with three budget options. Wisdom, Dummett, Yun, Hutton, you're on the shortlist.
        9. Place a reasonably rated defender in the final slot, Azpilicueta if money is there. Would probably end up with Chambers.
        10. Realise I have only 8.4 left for the goalkeepers. S**t.
        11. Go back and do it all again...

Based on the above it'd be about 6 changes overall.

De Gea, Bertrand, Fabregas, Sterling, Marney & Pelle out.
Krul, X, Hazard, Sanchez, Boyd & Austin in.

X = Whatever money is left over after other transfers. That slot is always the hardest to fill.

For the record, 4-5 of those changes would be largely cosmetic.

Only ones I really want are Hazard and Sanchez at the minute. The latter more so given I have Costa cover.

I'm sure a lot of players are having the same dilemma as me at the moment.

Who goes first (if any) out of Clyne, Tadic and Pelle.

I'm swaying towards Tadic/Pelle as I have a lot of value tied up in Clyne.
