As we mentioned yesterday, the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game is now up and running ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.

After winning top spot in the League of Leagues for the past three seasons, we’re looking to defend our crown once again and hope to make it four times running this year.

For those playing the Sky Sports game, we’ve set up an official Fantasy Football Scout league – the name is FFScout and the pin number to join is 8009000.

Last season, we handed over a cool £1,000 to the Fantasy manager who finished at the summit of the Scout league and hope to offer prizes once again this year – which should be incentive enough to assemble a team and get involved.

Over the next few days, we’ll be rolling out Player Price List analysis articles, breaking down the options position by position and offering insight into each player’s potential.

Once the season gets underway, we’ll be bringing you hints and tips in our weekly Friday afternoon “Sky Sports Focus” articles, analysing the market trends and looking at transfer tactics for the Gameweek ahead.

Our regular contributor d1sable will again be at the helm to offer his expert advice – he’ll be looking for yet another top 100 finish after a storming end to the previous campaign.

We’ve set up a new community article to exclusively deal with Sky Sports Fantasy teams. Those looking to get involved with the discussion should click this link.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Take a break, maybe do some reading of materials (presuming it's your PhD?), go for a walk, listen to some music. When I was writing a novel and reached a dead-end, I just tried not to focus on it. I know that it's different for academic work with a deadline, but if you stare at the page you'll get frustrated and your thoughts will become even more muddled. Go and listen to some Miles Davis outside 😉

I wrote one when I was 18, then this one 2-3 years ago:
          http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Less-Traveled-John-OConnor-ebook/dp/B00SH6AFDQ

It has been described as "better than Anna Karenina" by me, and I wouldn't lie about such matters.

Thanks Somalion! What are you writing? It is a great feeling when you reach the end - less great when you read through and decide 70% of it needs changing 😉

Added to wish list 🙂 Once I've finished my other reading for the Summer I'll root out that old kindle I have somewhere and give it a shot.

Kind of a Lord of the Rings/Game of Thrones book. Idea popped into my head during Summer last year, so I dedicate most of my time off from college to writing (and music). Figured I might as well give it a whack now!

I've been there a couple of months back, it's funny to see how much things change as you go on 🙂

Ah nice, fantasy isn't generally my thing (except fantasy football of course), but there's a huge market for that obviously. It's a good time to do it, I actually found that writing just increased my love of reading and strangely aided my studies.

Indeed, you find yourself chopping and changing a lot when you read through it - it's like making an FPL team!

Not my sole interest either, but it just popped into my skull. And sure if it ever manages to earn a few bob, that's a success as far as I'm concerned. I'm quite a massive Wodehouse fan, so if I had the opportunity I'd like to do something more in the light, comedic vein as well.

I understand what you mean, I find I read much more now, as well as play music more etc. I tend to only watch television if I'm sitting down with the girlfriend and we want a night in, quite fulfilling all things said 😀

      Writing at the moment.

A bit of exercise is always great for me, but likewise so is an hour of a netflix show. I tend to find the more it is pushed out of my mind, the sooner it improves.

      1. Walk away and let the frustration go
      2. Come back and readdress what you are writing as a whole
      3. Review and/or get clear about the hierarchy of the piece - main aims or propositions, main headings of the argument or case you want/need to make, sub-headings if necessary.
      4. If that doesn't get you set you need to do some more study/research, you just aren't clear enough about what you want to say.

That's a general recipe without knowing exactly what you are writing. 🙂

I have point 3. I like what I've planned, it all makes sense and it's all thoroughly researched. That's fine. But then I get to putting it down and I just get stuck.

Any ideas for my current squad? The upcoming season is my second in FPL so I'm still a bit lost at times but hoping to improve my point haul significantly this season with your awesome help combined with the Membership!

    Adrián - Boruc
    Ivan - Francis - Koscielny - Turner - Ogbonna
    Cazorla - Haz - Henderson - Downing - Wanyama
    Deeney - Costa - Kane

Also a quick question: I currently have 0,5M ITB and was wondering if it's worth it in the beginning of the season or should I try to squeeze it in my squad right from the start?
