‘Twas the night before Christmas when three bearded men, wallowing in mid-table mediocrity, collided via the magic of the internet to relay tales of Fantasy Football.

Settle down – the festive ScoutCast is upon us.

Like the “Three Ronnies”, Jonty, Andy and myself roll out the same old tried and trusted formula in the guise of an extended Christmas special.

We relive the painfully ordinary Gameweek 17, before girding our loins for another bout of community questions as the three us make woeful excuses for avoiding Ighalo, before debating whether the “Dullards” really have slain the “Maverick” Fantasy managers for good.

    So what if you're Manuel Pellegrini and, based on what Wilfried Bony said about the Arsenal game and based on the fact that you play Leicester a couple of days after Sunderland, you only give Aguero 30 odd minutes to play off the bench...

      If I am Pellegrini I would start Bony in both games because Aguero is not sharp yet 🙂 They look much better when Bony is upfront for now ..

      No need to worry about it, Aguero's needs minutes and how else is he going to get them if Pellegrini doesn't start him, he's the main man at City, it's as simple as that. He'll start all games, but not play the full 90 mins until his fitness is sharp.

        I was thinking abt this option bcz lately KDB dont produce much score when comparing to his team mate YYT. However, Walcott always prove tht he can score or assist quite often when he on pitch. The only pb will be 2 Aresenal mid in my team. Dunno who to transfer.......

          Its not a big deal, Arsenal/Man City are high scoring teams, so double up probably wont backfire. Plus Arsenal have 3 solid games where they might score more than 2 goals.
          Taking KDB out before Sunderland is risky, so I would hold fire.

    I'm thinking Bellerin is the obvious choice but I feel Stoke-Utd will be a very tight game. Saints did have chances againts spurs and Arsenal have struggled at St. Mary's recently.

      I think it'll be a narrow win for Arsenal with a CS but we've been awful at keeping them recently. I think Smalling is the safer choice.

      Keep Coutinho, don't know why everyone is against him... Has had a couple back from injury and was firing on all cylinders beforehand... I'm confident there are some big games coming up for him.

          Exactly, I think he's a great long and short term option. Ramsey also has good fixtures and he also has the current form but I'm still leaning towards Coutinho.

          The game has the potential to be a 4-3 kind of contest... Both Woj and Barks have the same attacking potential... Very tough decision for you... I'd definitely save though if benching Barkley is your other option.

    Is Coutinho a safe bet for the bench for the next 3 gameweeks?
    Liverpool play 26th, 30th and 2nd. Enough time for rest and less chance of rotation.

    I fear Kolarov will be rested against Sunderland, and if that's the case he'll get 1 point over the 2 weeks. I also have Myhill to deal with though. Adrian or Creswell or hold?

      He's already been rested... If he gets rested it will be the game after SUN

      I'd hold, Myhill has good fixtures coming up and Wedt Brom are good at keeping CS against the teams they should be
