      Hit to have an extra player on pitch (4ppg average) is always fine. If you already have a playing sub it is less beneficial.

      Hit for a dgw player (4ppg or better) is usually worth it.

    1 Chumps League game before next GW for Arsenal,City and Chelsea.

    2 Europa games before for Liverpool, Man Utd and Spurs

    That's a lot particularly for the Europa guys.

    Plus of course Man City/Liverpool Cup Final causing the blanks in GW27

    I realize almost all will know this, I just thought if it's in one place it might help a bit.

      Man Utd's season (PL wise) is a complete write off now. Should be playing a strong side in every EL game now. Including Midtyland games.

      Only chance of a CL place is to win it. Which will be a tough ask!

    I want to get in a Leic DFer for their excellent run of fixtures (plus will have GW30 fixture).
    So I'm all set for Ward > Huth/Fuchs which I dont think anyone would disagree with...until you look at my DF.

    VVD - Toby - Bellerin - Azpil - Ward

    So if I do Ward > Leic then I'll have 5 strong Dfers and it'll be a nightmare to choose who to play each week.

    So with that in mind:
    A) Ward > Huth/Fuchs
    B) Save transfer (have a decent 11 for next week)

        Targett is a playing SOT defender, although not fully nailed. Looking at getting VvD or Fonte.

    Arnie owner here. Benched him last few weeks (strong 8) with a view ahead to these juicy fixtures.

    Now they are around the corner I am concerned that he will not walk back into a team that has just recorded a very healthy away win, after three consecutive 0-3 defeats.

    I'm not sure Hughes would send that message to the player group. I can see him benched, with a decent cameo. That may be plenty of opportunity against an awful Villa side, but playing time is worth a thought imo.

        There's certainly a decent chance he'll start, but not a given for me.

        He's also been pretty average for a while, and all the players that he could conceivably replace had involvement in the goals.

        I'm not assuming he walks back in, that's all.

        Nevertheless, I think the signals you give to a team are very important. Look at Martinez lately with Baines etc.

        They have a strong squad and he isn't Messi. I'm not assuming he starts. Won't be surprised either way.

          Hold Simpson. Unless you plan to wildcard before GW30 you currently only have 5 for GW30 and four (or five if you have 2FTs) left. If you switch Simpson to one of those named you will still have five but one less FT to use on the rest of your team. Of course, the cup results could give you more players for GW30, but we won't know that until next weekend.

              There's no guarantee, but it should give you the best opportunity to maximize your return on them. You can only play one chip per gameweek, but you can wildcard in GW33 to set up for the double then bench boost or triple captain in GW34 for example.

    Walcott gets a lot of stick, and deservedly so, but I think he has this knack of scoring in important games more than any other player of ours.

    Decisive goals against City and Leicester, 6/6 points due to that - that is huge!
