Recorded minutes after the whistle blew on a miserable midweek under lights, we had no choice but to fantasise about Chips and Double Gameweeks to get us through this latest ScoutCast episode.

I’m joined by Jonty, Andy and Luke as we lament our sub 40-point tallies, moving on swiftly to lose ourselves in the thrilling, Wonka-like nonsense that lies ahead thanks to the bizarre Bench Boost FPL chip.

We come back down to earth to answer another bout of community questions, assessing the merits of City’s assets through their fluctuating form, the Payet problem and even end by revealing our modest rank expectations for the rest of the season.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first aired live via our YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe in order to get a heads up on new episodes.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm leaning towards Yaya more than Silva for the weekend. City missed him at Anfield and if he's recovered then he should be straight back in. Might be in the #10 role too given the form of Sterling, Silva and Navas - I can see one of those being dropped.

If Aguero is rested after 60-70 mins, then there's the 'Yaya on pens' factor too.

But if Yaya has just recovered from an injury, he might be taken off early too

Foot injury sounds like just a knock? He'll walk around for the last half hour vs Villa anyway. I reckon he'll play the 90.

They'll hardly play two dms vs villa. He'll likely be in the double pivot with fern or in a cm in a 4/4/2

Do you think it'll be a 4-4-2 then with Aguero + Bony? Maybe Silva and Navas wide.

I have a gut feeling about him against Villa but it's based on absolutely nothing

as a City fan, who is your City midfield pick?

              4-4-2 (hopefully)

              Navas - YYT - Fernandinho - Sterling

              Kelechi - Aguero

Cheers, bought him in at 10.9 so it doesn't. If I am to go through with A though, I must do it tonight or else I wouldn't be able to afford it

I've got a gut feeling that Alexis is going to troll me (I sold tonight) and score vs Spurs, but I've been giving him "just one more week" for about a month now - he had to go.

In terms of the Swansea midfield, I'd rank them Siggy > Ayew > Routledge. Routledge is a great, underrated option as he takes his one-on-ones really calmly.

Yeah, Alexis is a good option. I know he'll come good eventually but with him being off color and an imminent blank on the horizon, it makes sense to get rid.

Routledge is a decent option I think. Only issue is I don't think he is nailed now with Paloschi around. Ayew can play in the front 2 as well

I've gone for Siggy because of set pieces and how decent his right foot is. I also live in Reading so there's that nostalgic connection too.

Might play Payet this week or sell for Yaya. 1 x FT remaining.

After listening to another excellent scoutcast, I think I might just hold on to Payet for the Everton game rather than bringing in Siggy.

To be honest, not the biggest fan of any of the moves but would lean towards C. A is also an option but I'd punt on Wijnaldum instead of Ayew (avoid two Swansea mids).

Activated a mini WC by taking this hit:

    Costa ➡ Aguero

    Payet ➡ Silva

    Moreno ➡ Williams

    Good moves?

Payet to Sigurdsson if you don't already own. Although it's Villa game, there's no standout mid option in Man City team at the moment.

Would just do Costa to Aguero and Moreno to Williams

Would have done Payet to Siggy for the 2 FT's. But decent moves, good luck!

We don't know if Bilic will keep this 5-2-2-1 formation though. It suits Payet a lot.

See above. A lot of factors here - Liverpools inconsistency, Palace are at home but Costa could be rested, no ShawX.

      It's tough

        Oh.. Same decision to make.

Let's Hennessey, I'm leaning that way.

Tough call. Both will most likely concede...Hennessey is at home - I would go that way

I'm playing Hen. Pool are inconsistent. Could be one of them performances where they have loads of shots but few goals. Hen to rack up the save points. Just can't see Chelsea not scoring.

    Gwk30

    Forster
    Dawson Williams Fuchs
    Siggy Yaya Arnie
    Kane Kun Vardy

    A) Play Richards (4-3-3)
    B) Firmino to Eriksen -4 (3-4-3)

    ??

    C) Alli to Sigurdsson, then getting Eriksen for Villa gw 30

Interesting herd mentality in humans. Stick with a crowd and everything will be alright.

So every second post is people bringing in Siggy.

Where are the Walters buyers? Ayew? Ritchie?

I'd honestly save it for a DGW if you can (unless you need it to get to 11 GW30 players). Maybe just Bellerin->Kompany?

Moreno owners (I was one until 3 weeks ago)...keeping thru the blank or cutting your losses, since he may now be completely dropped.

Is it really worth getting rid of Sanchez?

Im very tempted to do Sanchez > Siggy or Silva/Toure

    Otherwise Ward > Kompany

I did Sanchez to Siggy this evening.

Other than Aguero, Sanchez has to be the worst player to sell as he has so many shots that he could explode in any game. My patience ran out though.

That's what I'm thinking. Have 6.7 or under for the funds but not sure there is a reliable option out there. Might be worth taking a hit for Sterling/Yaya after all

It's tricky - if you sold Paloschi + Sanchez > Aguero + say, Ayew .. who would you bench? You'd be in my situation and considering benching Ozil 🙂

I think Tottenham will win the NLD and I don't have Kane, so will definitely be starting Alli. I guess you would feel safer benching Alli and starting Kane and Ozil.

Initially, I was considering benching Ozil as well. But then I realised, Dembele might not start and Alli might be playing deeper than usual. Certainly not a bad option to play though. Could easily come good 🙂

    Regarding Aguero...

Getting no service from the mci midfield
Tired from playing the entire cup final last week and the whole match vs Liv this week (surely a rotation risk? Bony or iny to start?)
Not a single shot on target in the last 2 gws
Score in the reverse fixture was 0-0
Villa last chance to make a run and beat the drop

Not only am I not gonna captain him (probably Costa), but I'm considering not using both of my free transfers to even get him on my team for the coming 2 gws

    Am I bonkers?
