Just a thought here, a lot seem to be looking at Mahrez for the armband. Now I'm not sure who I'm going with yet but whenever Leicester have a great fixture Vardy seems to be the most mentioned captaincy option of the two due to pens, what has changed in two weeks?

Is it Mahrez's goal + assist vs Vardy's two blanks over the last two that are fresh in people's mouths?

    Just interested to hear.

Mahrez seems more likely to score from open play now that CBs are marking Vardy more tightly...

Not (c)aptaining either atm but that would be why I think.

Poor fixtures coming up + blank.

I'd consider selling for Siggy tbh.

Siggy is such a short term option IMO. Bournemouth has conceded 1 goal in their last 3, and then obv Villa at home is great, but after that it's all flat and then comes the DGWs in which Swansea won't partake in.

Unless you're wildcarding ahead of GW34, I'd avoid Siggy.

        Williams , VVD , Kompany , Franicis , Fuchs

        Alli , Mahrez

        Aguero , Kane , Vardy

Likewise for me but with Antonio instead of Firmino. Holding him along with Ozil and Payet regardless. Will also be bringing in a City defender for my Koscielny in the event of an Arsenal blank.

As for both of us, on paper there looks to be many very realistic clean sheets this week, so it could be golden. Good luck 😀

        How does that influence?

Ozil won't play this week if Arsenal beat Hull in FA cup. Arsenal would then have FA cup again at weekend. This is fact. You would therefore have 10 not 11 with Ozil out

    Morning all,

I'm not sure the ARS game affects my transfer decision this week - whatcha reckon and why?

    A) Save - 2FT will be useful next week post the FA cup fallout
    B) Hennessey/Elliot -> Lloris - good fixtures and no blanks before WCing in either 33 or 36

    Elliot
    Kompany, Wolly, Simpson
    Mahrez, Yaya, Arnie, Alli
    Aguero, Vardy, Kane

    Hennessey, Sanchez*, Bellerin*, JEvans
    Bank 1.5m, 1FT

    * have assumed for now that ARS have a blank - if not then Simpson and Arnie likely make way.

True. But the extra FT does give flexibility which might be worth more, eg may enable me to wait until GW36 to WC instead of GW33

        1. Acquafresca
          • 14 Years
          10 years, 1 month ago

GW36 may not be the best time to use it though. Holding 2 GKs that are likely to concede 2+ every game might not be the wisest.

Maybe go for a future DGW GK then so you are using your transfer toward a DGW player. Joe Hart?

Leaning towards Vardy captain and here are the reasons:

Newcastle at home. They are decimated with a lot of injuries.
Kane plays Dortmund 2 days before the match against Villa(a)
Aguero has CL 2 days after the match against Nor(a)

Who will you captain and why?

There is a lot talking about having 11 DGWers for DGW.

Not Mata...but for better players, yes of course.

      180 mins v 90 mins

Max 6 bonus points v max 3 bonus points

2 Clean sheets max v 1 clean sheet max

There's just so much more potential upside to a DGW player that will predictably play both games.

I am not sure. Plus, you cant have them just for DGW, but for few gameweeks around too (cant sell them all straight after) so for a long run I chose Mahrez with title batle before any United/Watford/Palace/etc player...

Well that's the reason I looked at it. To see how Aguero & lazy Yaya usually do in early kick offs..

Hate captaining early kick off players ahead of Sunday potentials

Just seen the Palace vs Pool highlights.

Just a typical "if you don't finish your chances you lose" type of game...

Also, lol @ Moreno almost scoring. Such a troll. 1mm from a haul once again.

Lastly, McCarthy owns Firmino on FPL.

We rode our luck a little. That said, we're far better with 10 men. Palace on the other hand looked so low on confidence. Following the equaliser, they just morphed into a collective jellyfish.

Can really stepped up when Milner got sent off. MOTM for me, played in three positions at once, he was everywhere.

He's been much improved since Klopp arrived. Might be something to do with Brenda insisting on playing him out of position every week.

Should I wild card this week before blanks???

    Smicheil / (Hennessy)

    alderweild / wollschiend / (Azpi / moreno / targett)

    Alli / Mahrez / (Sanchez / Payet / Stanislas)

    Aguero / Vardy / (Costa)

Players in bracket are either injured/not playing/blanks...
So, effectively I have only 7 player for next Gameweek 30.

+2 free transfers.... what to do???

You really need to know the FA cup results before considering a wildcard. 2 FT + Targett might start gives you 10 - not so bad.

Two of these moves with your frees:
      Sanchez/Payet to Yaya/Siggy
      Costa to Kane

Then you're in decent shape. If Arsenal lose then you'll have 10. Would save your WC.

Agree with them above. Just do two transfers and hope targett plays.

Morning chaps. Who would you get rid of to field XI?

    A) Bellerin to Kompany (play 523)

    B) Payet to Siggy/Silva

    C) Ozil to Siggy/Silva
