Propose new rule change for next season:

Allow us to save up on free transfers beyond the standard of 2 maximum currently. No limit.

    Any thoughts?

Not sure if we should worry about dead stuff, but in this way, the strategy for transfers alters in a sense that you can make delayed transfers instead of being forced to make 1 or waste 1 when you hit the maximum limit of 2.

      • 10 Years

Yes I agree it'll lessen the impact of WC, but in a way, it'll offer up a new channel of strategy making where by WC can be used more for emergencies and such, or for double gameweeks or other whole sale changes to a team, whereby one has already used up his or her transfers. The basic strategy in transferring players in and out remains basically the same though.

The only difference probably is that transfers can be saved and used later or for a more dramatic gameweek where one has saved up several transfers, but then again that player would have to forgo transferring earlier which can be a loss also.

Yeah will definitely be a big call, especially that Lukaku's ownership will be pretty high by then. But Martial is also on penalties now and those 2 home games are better than Everton's. I figure it's worth the risk.

Yeah I understand that. His goal per minute ratio is fantastic for someone who costs 4.9m. He's been unlucky with injuries, but if in between now and then Bilic gives him some heavy game time, I really think he's worth considering.

Has done so for the last 2 games when Byram was banned. But since WHA defenses was breached twice by Chelsea and Antonio did not score this time, the next formation might change.

    Thoughts on this DGW draft;

I think the defence needs a bit of work, however this has maxed out my budget.

    Mignolet Elliot
    Bellerin Rojo Olsson Janmaat Mangala
    Sanchez Ozil Firmino Wijnaldum Lanzini
    Aguero Lukaku Kane

Obviously the likes of Rojo, Managala, Firmino, Lanzini all depends on what happens between now and then.

Still safer to stick with Ozil and Sanchez along with Bellerin I think. Ozil assisted Sanchez for his assist while he got into good goal scoring chances too last match and also more much often compared to last season.

These 3 are the best options going into the double in 34 imo. All 3 are good triple captain choices too.

For the people talking about Wildcarding only 11-12 DGWers in order to keep Kane, Mahrez, Leicester defense and such... Are you planning on using TC instead of BB in GW34?

It seems the appeal of using BB is to have 15 DGW players. If you don't have 15, why not just use TC and then try to BB with 15 during gameweek 37?

    1. SPFC
      • 10 Years

GW 35 prevents you from using the WC for TC first. Particularly, I will have 15 DGWs. Phlilips and Benteke are living proof that anyone can score well in DGWs

Are you worried about the shortage of a decent TC candidate in GW 37?
Depends on how many DGW 37 players it's possible to get without a WC.

    3. zizoo10
      • 10 Years

most won't have a wc by then, & it won't be easy going with 15 dgwers when the inevitable injuries, etc. come in

also, potential lukaku triple gw down the track for TC

    4. Jøssy ⭐
      • 11 Years

But think about it this way... you have a First XI full of DGWers, and a "bench" that consistent of Kane, Mahrez, Fuchs and a DGW GK. That 4 should smash any previous result for a Bench Boost (other than the odd flukey one).

Perhaps those three SGW outfield players would score more than Cathcart, Milner and Rondon

The challenge i find is the players you would need to sell to field an 11 in gw35, you want them back for dgw37. So if you have 5 blank outfielders with 2FT, you can get an 11 out, but it means you'll need to buy them back at a hit in time for gw37.

I think it can be done for just 1 hit though. I might just field 10 in gw35 and ride it out instead.
