Used my 2nd WC earlier in jan. Is the bench below for dgw34 decent enough to use Bench Boost chip?

Fabianski (new), Alli (sto) Mahrez (WHU). Simpson (WHU)

    Hi,

Any thoughts or advice on this WC team?

    de Gea / Mignolet

    Janmaat / Bellerín / Flanagan / Aké / Rojo

Firmino / Sánchez / Payet / Yaya Touré / Shelvey

    Agüero / Lukaku / Martial

Should be able to cover the GW35 blanks and get a full DGW37 team with that. Flanagan is a bit of a risk but because he isn't playing EL and he just signed a new contract that Klopp was directly involved in makes me think he should play both games (at least I hope). Probably going to activate my WC tonight.

Flanagan and Rojo are slight risks but I think they will both play. Can easily swap Firmino with Coutinho if needs be.

As a Liverpool fan, not worth buying Flanno... Less than 50% chance he plays imo.

Flanno is not nailed on, will rotate with Moreno. Just get Clyne or Sakho for Pool defensive cover, no one else is nailed on apart from Migs I guess

I guess for many on a GW33 WC it'll be a case of retaining just 1 SGW midfielder as there are so many appealing midfielders with DGWs.

The fixtures look better for Leicester on 33 and 34 and by 35 when Spurs play WBA an Alli return will be easy to do.

To your last point, sort of, but are you really gonna waste a GW35 transfer on a player that doesn't have a DGS in GW37?

Not me personally, certainly not for Alli anyway - someone like Kane might be worth it. Depends also how my side is set etc it'll be possible to have 7 DGWers in position so you could spare a transfer I guess.

They gotta be the right players though eh. 12 doubters and 3 singles would still be a good use of wc and bb especially if the singles keep racking up the points (which Kane, mahrez and Fuchs are looking very likely to do)

      3. WoodsyOwl
        • 12 Years
        10 years, 24 days ago

I'd say so, but obviously depends on the individuals team. Just because a player has a DGW doesn't mean they'll return more than a SGWer particularly when you take into account GW33 and GW35 returns too.

    2. fickle

Wow, pretty sure I've often had the odd season keeper most years before.
Got Mahrez at 5.6, so like you don't want to lose him now.
Not easy to ditch Alli when I only paid 4.9 for him, but looks like his time is almost up.

I would pick Fuchs ahead of Kane or Mahrez if you are ranking. Can't agree with keeping Mahrez. With Leicester winning 1 nil past few weeks, dgw players have more value.

Mahrez still scoring pretty well though - 5.8 pts per game for last 5 games.

This is exactly why I personally plan to use TC in the DGW34 with a XI full of DGWers and keep Single GWers like Mahrez on the bench for the week. Then transfer them out between 35-37 for a ful 14 or 15 DGWers in GW37 and use BB then.

Everyone who has followed is vastly beneath me. They have @ signs and #, no page breakers, double list teams, no one is as good as me.

Swansea keep a clean sheet and Williams doesn't get 3 bonus points? Ridiculous! Must be some kind of a bug on the FPL website.
