The current international break has afforded us another opportunity to update the Live Hall of Fame standings, taking into consideration the performances so far in the 2015/16 campaign. The Hall of Fame is a ranking system which we apply to everyone who takes part in our Fantasy Premier League (FPL) mini-leagues – both the free and the members league. Basically, this tracks the performances of every manager over each of the seasons they have participated and awards a “HoF rating” accordingly – it’s viewable to all via this link or the top menu “HoF” link.

If you’re wondering what the Hall of Fame is all about, you can read below for a quick guide. Alternatively, you can view this movie to listen to Mark and Rate My Team’s Chris Atkinson talk you through it.

Ville Ronke remains at the top of our Live update after racking up 78 points in Gameweek 31. He’s now moved up to 4,199th spot overall, his highest of the season, and still has his second wildcard and two chips – Bench Boost and Triple Captain – available to play over the run-in. Ville has clinched a top 5,000 in each of his seven seasons playing FPL (including four top 600 finishes) and has a Hall of Fame Rating of 98.2 in our latest refresh. Ville’s safety-first approach is highlighted by the fact that he hasn’t taken a single points hit all season.

David Meechan moves from 23rd in our Career HoF into second spot in the Live update. David has finished inside the top 4,000 in four of the last five seasons and is well on course to continue that record – he currently sits in 966th spot overall, which is his highest of the campaign. David has taken a four-point hit on six occasions this term.

In third position is Marlen Rattiner, who racked up 86 points in Gameweek 31 to earn a seventh successive green arrow. Now up to 3,852nd spot overall, Marlen – who climbs from 15th in our Career HoF – has finished inside the top 200 in reach of the last two seasons and, like Ville and David, he also has a second wildcard, Bench Boost and Triple Captain Chips to play. Unlike Ville, Marlen certainly isn’t averse to taking chances with his transfers, though – he’s already racked up 48 points worth of hits in the opening 31 rounds of fixtures.

Peter Kouwenberg jumps from 60th in our Career HoF into fourth spot in the Live refresh. Peter is the highest-placed manager in our new top ten after climbing into 874th overall, courtesy of a 79-point return in Gameweek 31. Peter has finished inside the top 10,000 in five of his nine seasons as an FPL manager, with last year’s 289th spot his highest yet. He’s taken points hits on three occasions this seasons, with a 12-point deficit back in Gameweek 9.

Jay Egersdorff is a non-mover in fifth position. After clocking up 79 points last time out, he’s moved up to 28,984th overall as he looks to continue a record that’s seen him finish inside the top 5,000 in seven of the last nine seasons.

Utkarsh Dalmia climbs from 25th in the Career HoF into sixth spot in the Live refresh. After racking up 83 points in the previous round of fixtures, he now sits in 8,211th overall – his highest placing of the current campaign. Utkarsh – who has taken a four-point hit on four occasions thus far – now looks on course to claim a a sixth top 5,000 finish in seven seasons.

Sitting in 639th spot in this season’s FPL game, Steve Poulsom is the highest-ranked of our top ten managers in 2015/16. Having earned 85 points in Gameweek 31, he’s well on course for a third straight finish inside the top 4,000, with last term’s 121st spot his most successful so far. Steve is a major climber in our HoF update, moving from 97th in Career to seventh in our Live iteration.

Peter Martino jumps from 81st in Career up to eighth in our Live refresh. In his tenth year as an FPL manager, he looks on course to secure his highest-ever placing – Peter is currently sitting in 914th spot overall, which is superior to his previous best of 1,506 in 2010/11. Impressively, he’s never been outside the top 50,000 in any of his nine campaigns and has clinched a top 6,000 spot on five of those occasions.

In ninth spot is Russell McLeod, who is looking for a fifth successive finish inside the top 6,000. After finishing in 488th overall last season, Russell climbed to 1,275th in Gameweek 31 on the back of an 85-point haul – he’s another significant riser in our update, having finished 2014/15 in 79th place in our Career HoF.

Simon Walsh completes our top ten in light of an 84-point haul last time out. Currently sitting in 35,876th spot overall, Simon is the only faller in our refresh – he placed seventh at the end of last season after earning a third top 1,000 finish in his four years as an FPL manager.

Further down, site moderator Evs sits in 19th spot in our refresh, whilst other familiar names such as Jon Sumner (aka Jinswick) and Nick (aka Triggerlips) both find a place inside the top 30 along with last year’s winner Simon March. Elsewhere within the top 50, Mark and Jonty sit in 40th and 45th place respectively.

Analysing the Top Ten

All of our chief protagonists still have their second wildcard in hand, though it’s perhaps a little more surprising that they have all played their All Out Attack Chips, with each of them still holding Bench Boost and Triple Captain Chips.

Looking at each of our top ten’s 15-man squads, Jack Butland and Alex McCarthy were the preferred stoppers, with eight and four votes respectively.

Bearing in mind that the latter has featured once since Gameweek 6, this backs up the idea that our leading candidates aren’t concerned with rotating their stoppers, though Butland’s season-ending injury will certainly spark a major exodus once wildcards are wielded.

The most popular defender in the FPL game – Toby Alderweireld – is also the highest-owned amongst our top ten and currently sits in seven sides. The Belgian just edges out Virgil van Dijk and Danny Simpson, with six votes apiece, whilst Bournemouth’s Charlie Daniels and Swansea skipper Ashley Williams have been snapped up by five or our featured managers.

Further up the field, though, there’s far less variety. Riyad Mahrez, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Dele Alli are owned by all ten, whilst Mesut Ozil sits in nine of the teams in what has become a solid four-man template. The fifth spot is somewhat less clear, though; Roberto Firmino and David Silva are next in line with three votes apiece, whilst Alexis Sanchez and Dimitri Payet find themselves in two of our teams.

Up front, it’s a unanimous decision by all ten, with Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy all leading the line.

With doubles in Gameweek 33, 34 and 37 , though, it’s fair to say that there will be plenty of changes to our featured managers’ current squads as they look to play their wildcards and two remaining chips over the final seven rounds of fixtures.

At present, though, the current template amongst the top ten in our Live Hall of Fame is as follows:

Keepers – Butland, McCarthy
Defenders – Alderweireld, Van Dijk, Simpson, Daniels, Williams
Midfield – Mahrez, Sigurdsson, Alli, Ozil, (Firmino/Silva)
Forwards – Aguero, Kane, Vardy

How is my rating calculated?
The “HoF Rating” is based on your points scores from previous FPL seasons, with the latest season weighted the heaviest and each corresponding season weighted at roughly 70% that of the previous season. So, in other words, those who performed best in 2014/15 will receive a bigger HoF Rating boost from those who did best in 2007/08. The “HoF Ranking” even allows for those with missing years, adapting the formula accordingly to allow to rank alongside the veterans of the FPL.

How do I join the Hall of Fame
Simply sign up to our leagues next season, either the Fantasy Football Scout Classic League or if you’re a member, the Members Classic League – the code will available on the dashboard of the Members Area once the FPL game re-opens for registration.

How do I find myself in the Hall of Fame?
The search box at the top of the ranking tables allows you to search by surname or by FPL id.

What if I don’t want to be listed?
Either notify us via support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk or simply leave the Fantasy Football Scout league and you’ll be removed on the next update.

When does the Hall of Fame get updated?
The Career table is available to all and is updated at the end of each season to display the latest rankings. The Live version of the Hall of Fame is updated every week to use the latest season data.

Go to the homepage and see the four buttons under the first article.

Hit the fourth one - the one that looks like tactics - you will then switch to a sidebar widget view and can get to the ticker, watchlist etc.

Looks little bit difficult to navigate because it's new feature but I'll get use to it.

Btw I like the new colors in the watch list and on the teams.

Using Android phone on Chrome works smoothly.

          Good luck scouts.

Reckon the keepers are nailed on except for Robles on GW 38.

Gabriel is a risk I'd happy to take. First choice. 4.3m. Even if he plays 1 game on GW34, it's still better than any other defenders at that price. Also save 2m over Kosc which I can use better.

Rojo is risky yes but don't think MU have much choice. He's only missed like 2 games for the past 2 season bar injuries and "come back" games. I'm just worried if he gets subs on 59 minutes 😀

    Aguero - Lukaku - Mitrovic

    @Balders & Koflok

    a) Kos, Moreno and Lanzini/Lingard (or Clyne if I get Lingard)
    b) Gabriel, Rojo and Milner
    c) Gabriel, Reid and Wijnaldum

    1. Koflok
      • 13 Years
      10 years, 12 days ago

I like A with Clyne but not sure about Lingard's minute now that Rooney's back. If we can know before this week (or whenever you have to decide your team), then go take that punt.

Between B and C is whether you have plan (or WC) to bring another Liverpool mid for GW 37, if you can get Cout/Firm later then I'll get Wijnaldum.

      • 12 Years
      10 years, 12 days ago

A with Lingard if you're only planning to play him in the DGWs, gives you more flexibility with budget down the line and he's still a decent attacking threat with good fixtures

      @Koflok

If I went C I might plan for Sturridge or Couts, but Gabriel and Reid doesn't seem any less risky than Moreno and and Kos

      @Balders

Lanzini would be double Hammers attack
      Lingard would be double United

      1. Koflok
        • 13 Years
        10 years, 12 days ago

Not any less risky but also 2m cheaper.

I'd do C because I don't like expensive defense and would love a Sturridge punt myself. It's definitely high risk high reward.
Otherwise I'd do A. Can't go wrong with that.

Smalling and Kos does seem excessive but maybe worth it

food for thought for next week I guess

C allows either Sturridge in for Martial or Kun or Couts in for Wiji, but possibly only 10 for GW37 without a hit

Yeah I second this. For those of us who are on the site a lot we don't need to keep seeing those articles as we know about them. Overall, Mark and others, though it's a big change I think I'll get used to it

It does seem as though there is a lot of text on the homepage, and a lot of scrolling. It is a little overwhelming. I like when its all compact and easily visible. But I'll give it a few weeks before really knowing whether I like it or not 🙂

Well we may well move to try to cut back the word count on articles somewhat. Things like the Differential will be broken up for example. Members articles will stay lengthy but we may shorten our style elsewhere.

The problem I have is that I'm using the HD view at a high resolution so it's not always easy for me to understand some of the concerns.

At the weekend, I'll take some more time to soak up the feedback and try the site again on various devices and resolutions.

We plan to iterate and act on as much feedback as we can. I wanted to go live in the season so we can get feedback from a "live" set of users so we can improve it further over the summer when traffic slows.

This FFS banner that scrolls at the top of the page is annoying. cant it go to the left so that it doesnt block out the comments?

Just too much empty space. I can only see a few recent comments at a time on the constantly updating side bar. Is this an issue of my resolution or some other laptop thing or is it the site now?

I admit, the recent comments are spaced out - it's something we could revise.

When you look at it like this, it's tempting to go without Aguero, especially as I think he'll be rested in GW33.

    WC final two places:

    A) Lallana and Aguero

    B) Sanchez and Sturridge

    1. Bazzalona
      • 14 Years
      10 years, 12 days ago

I've been thinking he'll be rested too so i'd say b.

problem is he has a dgw the very next week!

the forward line over the next 4-5 gameweeks is going to be very difficult - almost impossible to constantly get the right combination from kane vardy lukaku sturridge aguero rashford martial etc.

      not easy

WC Final Draft....(subject to change. Again)

    Mignolet - DDG
    Belll,Reid,Simpson,Delaney,_____
    Payet,Mahrez,____,Alli,Antonio
    Kun,_____,Lukaku

which looks better for the blanks.

    A) sagna/Sanchez/welbeck
    B) Gabriel/Ozil/Sturridge
    C) any other suggestions to the team?
    D) do this now or next week?

    Thanks in advance!

This is only my second year doing fantasy footie and im finally up to 41k (finished 50k) last season, with a lot of it being down to the help on this site.

I am no member and no veteran user of this site, but using it this year has been great fun. I would just like to say after having seen lots of negative comments about the new site, I personally think its great. It will take a couple of days getting used too for most people but after that everyone will agree its probably better. So well done to the people who did this!

Thanks Xabi. I think overall, I'm happy with the points raised by the feedback. As I said earlier, I wanted to get it live at a busy time and not the summer so I could have the summer months to tweak a bit.

    Dis a 33 one
    Migs/Robles
    Belle/Simpson*/Rojo/Sakho/Ward
    Payet/Sanchez/Ozil/Mahrez*/Coutino
    Kun/Martial/Lukaku

    Keep as is, or;
    Migs ➡ Darlow | Mahrez ➡ Barkley | Coutino ➡ Firmino +0.2

Been playing with my wildcard team today in order to fit Aguero in and am currently looking at the following:

    Robles Darlow

    Sanchez Firmino Payet Ozil Barkley
    Aguero Lukaku Rashford

    Thoughts please guys...

    Finalising GW33 WC:

    Cech, Ruddy
    Bellerin, Sakho, Rojo, Reid, ???
    Ozil, Payet, Firmino, Mahrez, ???
    Aguero, Kane, Lukaku

    For the final two spots:

    1)

    A) Clichy (good fixtures, and a DGW, but questions over rotation and City's ability to keep CS without Kompany)

    B) keep Fuchs (no DGW, but very consistent for me, BP magnet, Leicester motivated to the end of the season).

    2)

    Y) Lennon/Bolasie (both have a DGW, but have blanks in GW35 I would have to plan for, and questions over rotation/form respectively)

    Z) keep Alli (no DGW, but very consistent, works well with Kane, and Spurs will be motivated pressing Leicester for the title).

Currently on BZ but that doesn't feel very adventurous given the DGWs... Any thoughts?

B City v WBA is in between the UCL games v PSG so Clichy could get rested
Y Bolasie and sell him before GW35

      Can you get in Dann?
Sure you don't want to play Robles in 33? Ruddy is for 37 right?
Bolasie into Coutino a possibility? You gonna need to take a def hit tho.
      Chance to comment mine above?
