It’s time to drop into the Weekly Shop for our final Wednesday article, as we analyse the player lists of our partner games to highlight the likely targets that will make up our own weekly squads.

As always, the player analysis is split into two sections: I’ll break down the key targets that no squad can do without in “Better Buys”, before seeking out those one-shot “Poundstretcher” prospects that can provide us points, whilst freeing up funds.

For this week’s selection, we’re focusing on the FantasyBet and DraftKing player lists.

Crystal Palace travel to Upton Park where West Ham have been resilient of late, keeping five clean sheets in seven home matches. With 15 saves and five bonus points over his last four appearances, Adrian (FantasyBet 5m, DraftKings $4,000) could be worth the extra investment compared to more budget-friendly keeper options. In midfield, Dimitri Payet (FantasyBet 7.5m, DraftKings $8,600) carried his league form into the international friendlies by netting a trademark free-kick against Russia, and the Frenchman’s two goals and four assists in five make him difficult to ignore.

Chelsea will be optimistic of extending their 14-match unbeaten league run when they visit Villa Park on Saturday lunchtime. While the Blues have been porous at Stamford Bridge, they have four clean sheets in six on the road and Branislav Ivanovic (FantasyBet 6.5m, DraftKings $4,100) offers the opportunity of points at both ends of the pitch against a team destined for the Championship.

Arsenal’s 2-0 victory at Goodison Park was a promising result for those considering investment in the Gunners ahead of Watford’s visit. The Hornets travel to the Emirates with a single shut-out in nine away trips and Hector Bellerin (FantasyBet 5.5m, DraftKings $4,200) offers the form route into the hosts’ rearguard with three assists over the last two outings.

In midfield, picking between Mesut Ozil (FantasyBet 9.5m, DraftKings $8,000) and Alexis Sanchez (FantasyBet 11m, DraftKings Forward $7,800) is once again a conundrum. The former has been more consistent in the long-term but the Chilean’s goal and a pair of assists over the last three hints at a return to form. A potentially rewarding and cheaper alternative has emerged further up the field, though, with Danny Welbeck (FantasyBet 7m, DraftKings $5,500) bagging three goals and an assist in five since returning from injury.

Sergio Aguero (FantasyBet 13m, DraftKings $8,800) may have blanked in three of his last four outings but travels to a Bournemouth team that have leaked six goals over their previous three. Despite his recent toils, the Argentine has fired 14 attempts in the box over the last four – joint-top along with Harry Kane. With City still limited by injuries in midfield, he may well be paired with Wilfried Bony (FantasyBet 8m, DraftKings $4,900) once again. While the Ivorian has not been on the pitch as much as Aguero, his 11 attempts in the box compares favourably, earning the forward a high placing in Jonty’s Goals Imminent table.

Poundstretchers

An injury to Joe Hart should see Willy Caballero (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $2,900) earn a rare stint between the sticks as City travel to Bournemouth. Manuel Pellegrini’s men have allowed their opponents a mere 11 shots inside the box in the last four – less than any other side.

Norwich are looking to chalk up a third straight clean sheet as relegation rivals Newcastle roll up to Carrow Road. Timm Klose’s (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $2,400) defensive displays have been key to the Canaries improvement, with the centre-half earning five bonus points in the last two Gameweeks. Wes Hoolahan (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $3,800) has chipped in with two goals and a pair of assists in his last four home appearances and looks a value option amongst Alex Neil’s attack.

After three successive draws, Sunderland will be hoping to give their survival bid a shot in the arm as West Brom visit the Stadium of Light. Patrick van Aanholt’s (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $3,900) five goals from defence this term is only equalled by Scott Dann, Wahbi Khazri (FantasyBet 6m, DraftKings $5,400) continues to return some promising attacking numbers, while Jermain Defoe (FantasyBet 5m, DraftKings $4,700) has scored in back-to-back outings and also looks a good value option against the Baggies, who have kept a single clean sheet in four matches.

These are the contenders for my weekly contest lineups heading into the midweek fixtures. Tomorrow I’ll also bring you up to date on my progress in FantasyBet, as I continue my quest for profit in the 2015/16 campaign.

    Is everyone wildcarding next week eg after Saturday's deadline?

    Or is there another better ganeweek for the wildcard?

      This week gives you an extra FT to play with, but shows your rivals who will WC in GW33 your team a week early.

        This is true, but you neglect to mention that triple captaining Lukaku in gw33 is key to this strategy. In fact wildcard this week should only really be considered if doing that imo, because of the obvious disadvantage you descibed

    Which of these transfers to make for this week only before WC?

    A) Butland to Cech (double up with Bellerin, switch to DDG in WC)
    B) Williams to Kos ( double up with Bellerin, switch to Sakho in WC)

    Also, considering the second option, would you keep the Arsenal double at the back or invest in Liverpool defence? Both have DGWs and a fixture in 35.

    Robles Darlow
    Rojo Moreno Gabriel Evans Simpson
    Sanchez Firmino Payet Barkley Mahrez
    Aguero Kane Lukaku

    I guess the other thing I see is a massive area of blank whiteness between the bottom of the article and the start of the comments section could the recent articles be put horizontally so they take up less vertical space.

    Or we could put a big picture of Peter Beardsley there?

    About there?

    Robles - Darlow
    Kos - Bellerin - Cresswell - Sakho - Olsson
    Sanchez - Firmino - Coutinho - Payet - Barkley
    Aguero - Lukaku - Perez

    £0.5m ITB.

    GW33 = WC
    GW34 = BB + Save FT
    GW35 = Barkley > Willian
    GW36 = Aguero + Perez > Costa + Martial
    GW37 = Olsson > Rojo

          Hmm, I hadn't considered Newcastle other than Darlow as an enabler, due to Man City followed by Liverpool in GW34/35. I like the Sturridge pick very much... I think he's worth a punt for sure, especially with two home games in the next 2 weeks. Be mindful of the Dortmund fixtures either side of Stoke though... tricky.

          Largely similar, so maybe I should go ahead and bite the bullet. It means I could TC in GW33 too (not fancying leaving it until GW37).

            The only part which concerns me is the Barkley to Wijnaldrum transfer. I can't help but feel it should be someone better and it leaves me with more players in the Newcastle v Liverpool game than I would like

              Yeah, you're maxed out on Liverpool and Arsenal players and Man City mids are expensive. Why not use the FT on another move, then lose Barkley in GW35 for Willian?

              I like it. You have a similar number of slightly risky players as me imo.

              I like Sanchez and Ozil. I had that for most of my drafts but eventually I found it just stretched my funds a little to far.

              You are a bit Liverpoolless maybe

              How the hell did you make a team with only Liverpool defenders which works?

    Thoughts on this WC team ready for GW33?

    DDG Darlow
    Bellerin Kos Dann Jagielka Sakho
    Ozil Payet Coutinho Mahrez Bolasie
    Kun Lukaku Mitrovic
    0.0 ITB

    WC'ing this week i think...

    Robles (Darlow)

    Bellerin / Sagna / Morgan (Sakho, Ward)

    Firmino / Payet / Sanchez / Barkley (Bolasie)

    Kun / Lukaku / Wellbeck

    0.4 ITB.

    Any glaring suggestions/changes peeps?

    Thanks.

    Anyone considering Mata?? I'm not sure how much goal threat Martial will carry from the left wing.

    Rashford could be a genuine option with Rooney a week to 10 days away from FULL training. Surely he won't be thrown straight back in with a relapse jeopardising the Euros?

    Next question sorry...Anyone else having problems with the captain poll? Tried voting. Took me about 6 clicks before it selected a player and then didn't let me actually vote (assuming this as it didn't bring the results up after clicking on vote multiple times). Also then clicked on view results button and that doesn't work either?

    New WC33 Draft Thoughts? how you think I've done 15DGW in 34 10/11 in 35 and 11DGW in 37 for 4FT

    De Gea / Darlow
    Smalling - Kosielny - Clyne - Clichy - Janmaat
    Payet - Firmino - DeBruyne - Lennon - Sanchez
    Rooney - Ighalo - Welbeck/Sturridge

    GW35 2FT - DeBruyne & Rooney to Willian & Kane making 10 for GW35 11 if Sturridge over Welbeck

    GW36 FT - Kosielny > Azpilicueta

    GW37 FT - Clichy > Cresswell or Kane > Sturridge

        I could have lukaku before Rooney then use a FT in 34 to bring rooney back in for then the 2 home fixtures for man u are too tempting to not have a man u attacker and then go -4 or forget about kane

          Double Newcastle defence is a worry. Can you afford Rojo for Janmaat? Fuchs?

          Rooney isn't back in training for another 7-10 days and LVG likes to ease em in gently after injury. He may not start 2 of the 3 games in 33/34.
