It’s time to drop into the Weekly Shop for our final Wednesday article, as we analyse the player lists of our partner games to highlight the likely targets that will make up our own weekly squads.

As always, the player analysis is split into two sections: I’ll break down the key targets that no squad can do without in “Better Buys”, before seeking out those one-shot “Poundstretcher” prospects that can provide us points, whilst freeing up funds.

For this week’s selection, we’re focusing on the FantasyBet and DraftKing player lists.

Crystal Palace travel to Upton Park where West Ham have been resilient of late, keeping five clean sheets in seven home matches. With 15 saves and five bonus points over his last four appearances, Adrian (FantasyBet 5m, DraftKings $4,000) could be worth the extra investment compared to more budget-friendly keeper options. In midfield, Dimitri Payet (FantasyBet 7.5m, DraftKings $8,600) carried his league form into the international friendlies by netting a trademark free-kick against Russia, and the Frenchman’s two goals and four assists in five make him difficult to ignore.

Chelsea will be optimistic of extending their 14-match unbeaten league run when they visit Villa Park on Saturday lunchtime. While the Blues have been porous at Stamford Bridge, they have four clean sheets in six on the road and Branislav Ivanovic (FantasyBet 6.5m, DraftKings $4,100) offers the opportunity of points at both ends of the pitch against a team destined for the Championship.

Arsenal’s 2-0 victory at Goodison Park was a promising result for those considering investment in the Gunners ahead of Watford’s visit. The Hornets travel to the Emirates with a single shut-out in nine away trips and Hector Bellerin (FantasyBet 5.5m, DraftKings $4,200) offers the form route into the hosts’ rearguard with three assists over the last two outings.

In midfield, picking between Mesut Ozil (FantasyBet 9.5m, DraftKings $8,000) and Alexis Sanchez (FantasyBet 11m, DraftKings Forward $7,800) is once again a conundrum. The former has been more consistent in the long-term but the Chilean’s goal and a pair of assists over the last three hints at a return to form. A potentially rewarding and cheaper alternative has emerged further up the field, though, with Danny Welbeck (FantasyBet 7m, DraftKings $5,500) bagging three goals and an assist in five since returning from injury.

Sergio Aguero (FantasyBet 13m, DraftKings $8,800) may have blanked in three of his last four outings but travels to a Bournemouth team that have leaked six goals over their previous three. Despite his recent toils, the Argentine has fired 14 attempts in the box over the last four – joint-top along with Harry Kane. With City still limited by injuries in midfield, he may well be paired with Wilfried Bony (FantasyBet 8m, DraftKings $4,900) once again. While the Ivorian has not been on the pitch as much as Aguero, his 11 attempts in the box compares favourably, earning the forward a high placing in Jonty’s Goals Imminent table.

Poundstretchers

An injury to Joe Hart should see Willy Caballero (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $2,900) earn a rare stint between the sticks as City travel to Bournemouth. Manuel Pellegrini’s men have allowed their opponents a mere 11 shots inside the box in the last four – less than any other side.

Norwich are looking to chalk up a third straight clean sheet as relegation rivals Newcastle roll up to Carrow Road. Timm Klose’s (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $2,400) defensive displays have been key to the Canaries improvement, with the centre-half earning five bonus points in the last two Gameweeks. Wes Hoolahan (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $3,800) has chipped in with two goals and a pair of assists in his last four home appearances and looks a value option amongst Alex Neil’s attack.

After three successive draws, Sunderland will be hoping to give their survival bid a shot in the arm as West Brom visit the Stadium of Light. Patrick van Aanholt’s (FantasyBet 4.5m, DraftKings $3,900) five goals from defence this term is only equalled by Scott Dann, Wahbi Khazri (FantasyBet 6m, DraftKings $5,400) continues to return some promising attacking numbers, while Jermain Defoe (FantasyBet 5m, DraftKings $4,700) has scored in back-to-back outings and also looks a good value option against the Baggies, who have kept a single clean sheet in four matches.

These are the contenders for my weekly contest lineups heading into the midweek fixtures. Tomorrow I’ll also bring you up to date on my progress in FantasyBet, as I continue my quest for profit in the 2015/16 campaign.

2 FT, about to do Butland + Van Dijk > Courtois + Ivanovic to give me this:

      ....................Courtois
      ....Ivanovic - Simpson - Williams
      Mahrez - Sigurdsson - Payet - Ozil
      ..........Vardy - Aguero - Kane

      Robles; Eriksen, Alderweireld, Ward

      Will wildcard next week, thoughts?

Honestly, I wouldn't want one Chelsea defender, let alone two.

If you want one that's fine, but definitely spread the risk.

I'd look at Bellerin, Cresswell or Adrian.

      Help?!!

Current WC team (WC is active)

      De gea. Darlow.

      Rojo. Kosc. Bellerin. Sakho. Simpson.

      Sanchez. Payet. Firmino. Antonio. Lennon.

      Kane. Kun. Lukaku.

      Gives me:

      DGW 33 - 3 DGW players

DGW 34 - BB for 13 DGW players plus Kane / Simpson.

GW 35 - 11 players (and a spare ft just in case!)

DGW 37 - 11 DGW players (or less if I chose)

I'm sure some of this could be improved.

What do you think about my Man U defenders, and what else would you change?

Eg. Ive enough in the bank (£0.4) to swap rojo to darmian (or evenShaw!) but I'm unsure who will play more.

Or... Maybe go with Fab this week and transfer in firm / court next week?

      Thanks!

      J.

      Which do you guys prefer?

      Smalling - Sakho - Reid/Tomkins - Bellerin - Simpson

      Ozil - Barkley - Payet - Mahrez - Bolasie

      Kun - Kane - Lukaku

      OR

      Mignolet - Robles

      Rojo - Ogbonna/Reid/Tomkins - Sakho - Bellerin - Simpson

      Ozil - Payet - Mahrez - Firmino - Barkley

      Ddg darlow
      Bellerin Gabriel jag ward Sakho
      Payet Ozil Barkley Mahrez Bolaise
      Kun kane kaku

      TC Lukaku in 33
Gw 34 BB and Bolaise + Barkley > lingard + firminio

I want firminio or coutinho but want to wait until after the europa and both of them have injury/fatigue issues going into gw32, so will get later.

Not yet. Supersized boxes/pictures etc mean more scrolling up and down to get from one section to the next on my laptop. Maybe if I had a giant screen desktop it would be different, but I can see less different things to click on from any one screenshot at present.

Also, the relocation of the livethread of the comments is worse. Before, you could have the browser open with it situated at the top of the page, and see the comments at the right as they were evolving and when the refresh expired and you had to click to reload, your page would refresh and you were still right at the top where the comments were spooling out. Now if your window is parked lower so that you can see that while you have another browser open, or are working on another computer, whenever you click the reload on your browser, it resets to the top of the page and you have to scroll down again to get back to where you were.

I haven't really even looked at the other stuff yet, cuz I just got home from work. But right now? Bleh.

MacBook Pro. Default size of browser windows. One screenshot now captures grand total of four comments, if they are single-line comments. Four lines of content is all I can see without scrolling. And if one of those is "Yup", or something like that, which it always is, you have practically no content without having to scroll onward. Feels like when you are trying to read a message thread on your phone, but that's understandable when you have a 4 inch screen. Shouldn't feel like that when you are on a standard laptop or desktop

Autosizes to a level suitable for an old age pensioner with visual impairment? I can now see less than 2 comments at a time rather than 6+. Phone screens are high resolution these days and they have a zoom function which is now redundant.

One more question. When I click on a comment in the sidebar, it doesn't take me to the location immediately, only to the article itself. Anyone else with this issue? Both phone and ipad.

Will make for a rough matchday with little chance to respond.

What would you do? Bear in mind ML rival 5 points behind me has Alexis as I assume will (c).

      (A) Yaya+Toby>Alexis(c)+Reid (means play no keeper)

      (B) Butland+Yaya>Courtious+Payet

Worried going without Alexis could seriously hurt. Can't shake the gut feeling that Arsenal win 4-0 against a hapless Watford and Alexis braces.

The timing of this change is brutal..
Im trying to decide whether to WC this week or not.. with the latest batch of injuries but just cant get any consistency or figure this site out at all.

Why not wait till pre season..
This update is making me wait to WC to try figure out what is even going on.

I am all for new and better but please not going into such a critical part of the season...

      Hart Hennessey
van Dijk Bellerín Moreno Alderweireld Simpson
      Sigurdsson Alli Mahrez Arnautovic Özil
      Vardy Kane Agüero

2 FT, £1.3m in the bank.

I'm going without Aguero for DGW33 I reckon. Far more points on the table without him and I think he is disinterested now personally. Especially with no KDB. This is how I am thinking of playing it:

          Cech, De Gea
          Bellerin, Rojo, Darmian, Olsson, Ward
          Firminho, Mahrez, Ozil, Lennon, Payet
          Kane, Sturridge, Lukaku

Going big on Arsenal and United defence...with Ward and Lennon in to capitalise on DGW33 too. Don't see the need of removing Mahrez and Kane as it handcuffs me for GW35 and allows me to tinker for DGW34 if I need to..

.....and the whining continues. I really wonder how people make it through life sometimes. Either theyou don't see much change or they pretend like it did not change. Get a grip and have some cheese

Quick clarification question I'm hoping someone can answer.

If you have 2 Free Transfers when you play your WC do they carry over to the next GW or do you lose the extra one?

(ex, If I hold onto this week's FT, but next week play WC, will I have 2 FT for GW 34?)

          Thanks.

            http://fantasy.premierleague.com/rules/

What happens to my saved transfer when I use my wildcard?
When playing a wildcard, any saved free transfers will be lost. You will be back to the usual 1 free transfer the following Gameweek.
